Ahhh... You've stumbled upon the 432Hz mystery! Your secret password will arrive in the mail in 4-6 weeks. I'm really enjoying your projects. You don't need to add a ground wire to your input jack - it grounds to the chassis via the bushing. You can use the ground lug on it as a convenient star ground location for all your other grounds though. Fun! Looking forward to part 2.
@@TonePriest Gotcha. I was wondering if I had created a ground-loop with that, because the potential seems greater at points closer to the energy source. I've heard a few people saying that especially on high voltage amps, you've got to be careful when attaching grounds, so not to create a loop where bleed-off voltage prefers to travel back towards the ground furthest from the source. That's what I understand anyhow. So good to know, thanks. Just to expand a little, I still opted for the ground on the chassis, because it's rooted very close to where the voltage supply circuit is going to sit. Also, every now and then an input jack comes loose and has to be re-tightened. Probably not a problem for any serious builder with quality jacks and stuff, but I'm just a guy with no budget... So things work loose and parts fail. Good time bro. Thanks for tuning in.
@@ferguslester2581 it's really more of a sickness than a hobby. Just one more amp. This one will be the last. Then I'll hang up my tools. This time I mean it. I'll build one more, and then the next one after that will be the last one, after the two that I planned with the lm386 chip for distortion. Then the one with the reverb module. But that one will be the last one...
@ Yay! I mean: Something very macho… and technical stuff, being written by me about my having bought very many of these 386 modules, but also having built them from parts in the 80s using schematics. I’ve built sequencers and frequency dividers, That kind of thing. Yeah.👍🏼 also… I’m now building and learning Modular synth, so I can be learning and expanding my brain pan. Go me! 👨🎨🤔😳😵💫 I am not wearing a cheer leader outfit with my name on the back, I promise. I’m just trying to tell a lot about myself in a short read. Whew!
informative video, thanks for sharing.
love it !

Just when I had weaned myself off amp building but now you've got me started again.

@TheFlippy1 Dont get me wrong. I had moved on to photography for a while. Just.a different illness.
🤣
Hello friend.
Yer first. I believe you win the internet today.

@@BadChizzle Cool stuff man. I love it when guys write novels and share ideas. Seriously. Keeps my work bench flowing and that's how I like it.
