    Most unbelievable journey I’ve ever been on. Everyone should go here. It transforms you and makes you realize what you’re capable of.

    My son and I are headed to Philmont very soon. I am stoked out of my mind. Are my Army knees gonna love Philmont? Nope, but I've been training, eating better and preparing. This is going to be amazing!

    Oh man, my crew and I just finished our trek almost 1 week ago. It was an incredible experience, I’d highly recommend this place for anyone with an interest in scouting!

    I haven't been to Philmont in over ten years. Last night I had a dream I was back at Philmont.

    I went to Philmont in 1997, crew 6-24-Z. We started the drive to NM in a church van the day after I graduated from high school.
    I still think about it often and occasionally wish I had said so long to my group and just stayed in New Mexico.

    It is truly a great experience, it's heartwarming to watch the boys grow as individuals and as a team as they wind their way through the trek! Just Awesome!

    2013 expedition here: this is the greatest experience you will ever have on foot. I cannot over-exaggerate this in the slightest. For the love of all creation, go.

    I went when I was 16, it was the coolest scouting experience of my life! The nostalgia, emotions and memories hit me right in the heart by seeing this! Days in the Sangre De Cristo mountains of the awesome New Mexican wilderness, from the grassy lands below to the towering mountains above, filled with evergreens. Loved this place, and now I live a lot closer to Philmont.

      Man, it hailed like crazy one day while we were there. We were climbing up Mount Baldy when a bunch of rain and hail came down right on us. There were barely any trees for protection, and we had to use our backpacks and sit behind rocks.

      After 4 days of traveling, 2 nights at Basecamp and 10 days in the Backcountry of Philmont, it felt weird being back home. It felt like I was out of place.

    Philmont was a great experience for me. I was there for the philmont family adventure. And let me tell you I loved being out there. We drove through the town of cimarron and my favorite part of being out there was visiting the st.james hotel and hiking up to the top of the tooth of time. From the top you could actually see the Colorado mountain range.

    Oh boy, that's really nice.
    We don't have a campsite like that in the Netherlands.
    Probably mostly because we don't have mountains. Well, there's a hill of 35m which we call a mountian.

    So I’ve always wanted to go here. From troop out of circle 10 district Texas. What do you guys think of them getting an equity loan from JP Morgan and using the money on law suites? Might want to go their before it’s gone and taken away from the Boy Scouts Of America. “RIP Boy Scouts” Eagle Scout signing off.

    • @alexandersumrall6408
      @alexandersumrall6408 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When The Boy Scouts was given this land for free from Waite Phillips they should respect him and this land and never try to use it for any kind of financial scheme.

    • @alexandersumrall6408
      @alexandersumrall6408 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stinnett wrote that ranch committee member Julie Puckett - a granddaughter of Waite Phillips - had urged BSA officials in recent weeks to recognize Philmont as a restricted asset based on the understandings of all parties when Phillips donated the land.
      They still just blew off what the Granddaughter had to say and the family and still used this icon of boy scouts to pull a loan out for $446 million dollars.
      In the Boy Scout law the First point is Trustworthy. This breaks just all of the Boy Scout Laws.
