I subbed to your channel yesterday and when I logged on today I thought your reaction to Junna's TTFAF drum cover would be interesting. Please do not feel bad, because you obviously love what you do and it is not a competition. I believe 95% of professional drummers cannot do what Junna does here. ボーカルのアサミもラブバイツに入るまではメタル音楽を知りませんでした。

Excellent! I love Junna! She is a definite beast on the drums. I also loved the faces you were making while watching her drum, lol! I'm sure we all were making the same faces while air drumming! She has many great covers and an awesome original composition (Demon) so, I hope you don't stop here. Also, as others have said, Yoyoka is worth your time and attention as well. She is only 12 but, seems like she has about 50 years of experience playing drums. Looking forward to more!

Her successor drummer Nagisa is also a power drummer, so check it out.

Lovebites can humble bassists, guitarists and vocalists too, as well as an even smaller drummer than Junna: Haruna, Little Big Engine. Not as dramatic or showy as Junna, but just as good (idk, I'm no drummer, but she sounds great to me). And impressively small.
I never get tired of watching reaction videos to her drumming. Junna is a god.

JUNNA is an absolute BEAST! Always beats the drums like the owe her money, while executing with perfection! Most entertaining drummer in the World! Watch Gee Anzalone's (Dragonforce Drummer) reaction to this vid. He looks like a proud father! Someone said when she takes a drink of water she's spoofing the original video of the guitarists I believe. Don't take it so hard, many a very good drummer (some have been playing for 40 years) have wanted to hang up their sticks after watching JUNNA, YOYOKA, Senri Kawaguchi, Akane Hirose, Haruna and many other great Japanese drummers. JAPAN is keeping rock alive!
To clarify so it's easier to find songs that Junna was in. Junna was in Girls Rock Band Kakumei. When she left, Nagisa joined the band and they became TRiDENT.

Nagisa = TRiDENT
Both versions of the band is good. Nagisa is a good drummer too and I think fits better with the sound that the band is going for.
If you think Junna is good you should listen to the much better Kanade Sato, Senri Kawaguchi and 12 year old Yoyoko

If it makes you feel any better I've enjoyed the drum covers you've posted to TH-cam. Junna is amazing but there's more to drumming than blind speed and accuracy otherwise we'd just program synth drums and listen to robots all day. Playing with feeling that connects with the listener is the most important thing. That and wearing a bonnet. I may be just a bit biased on that last point.
I watched a few of your videos playing and you are very good. Don't think otherwise. In all the things we do as people there will always be those who may make us wonder why we bother. Remember we do so because our gifts are not just to bring joy to others but to ourselves as well. If you sit in your earphones, your heart racing to the beat, hammering away at your drums, smiling for no particular reason. Know in that moment why you play and why you should never stop. Because it brings you joy and through you we all share in that.

As good as Japan's shredders are, I think where they really have the world beaten is in drummers and bassists. Junna was actually in a few bands including Kakumei--check them out.
I was in a band a long time ago and I wish our drummer had 1/100th of her talent and energy. Wow. She's a rockstar in every way.
Amazing how many people are just now discovering Junna. Understand...Junna doesn't need any body's anything. No comments...no accolades...no nothing. Her drumming speaks for itself. Your comment...What can I say....says it all. When I listened to Junna...I burned my drums and started to take Juggg lessons. Then I remembered Brisco Darling is the King of Jugging. So...I took up the Triangle...Ed Grimely. Then I decided on Spoons...until TH-cam uncovered the Spoon Lady. The Life of a musician is not an easy Life.

I have to stop the video halfway through just to catch my breath watching her and after watching the whole thing I'm totally exhausted she is phenomenal she is a Class Act she is so energetic she plays with strength and never gets tired or if she did get tired I can't tell it I've never seen anybody like her she is a true inspiration I wish her all the best can I play like her absolutely not her timing is incredible her speed is incredible doesn't just play the drums she attacks them a pure joy to watch I will never meet her but I wish her all the best❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅

I was one of the ones requesting you to react to Junna. Making you feel like a really bad drummer wasn't the intention. I've seen your drum covers and I think you are quite good. I'm not going to compare you to Junna. My request was because, as you are a drummer too. I thought you might find it enjoyable. And because you're a drummer, I thought that you could maybe analyse, and breakdown what techniques she is using. After all, your channel is called Thisnerddrummer. Junna is a lot older than she looks. As most Asian's seem younger than they are. She used to be in a band called Trident. Tho they were known by a different name when she joined them. I've forgot what it was called. Anyway, they changed the name to Trident not long before she left. Voltage I think! Was the last MV she made with them. It's a really good track. There new drummer Nigasa is pretty good too. Tho, I prefer Junna. But, that's just my preference. She has many more covers on her channel. Ashes of Dawn (Dragonforce), I Was Born To Love You (Queen), Rising Force (Yingwie Malmstein) and many others.
I'm a Band-Maid fan, so really like Akane. But, also like Haruna (Lovebites), Murata Tamu (Nemophila). There's a couple of street drummer's from Taiwan. Vela Blue, and S. White. Both really good. They use a lot of stick tricks in their performances. As they have to draw in the crowds to earn their money. Like you, they play other instruments and sing too. Tho, mostly they play drum covers. There is a version of this cover that she plays herself. But this one has a lot more views. They both can play. Sometimes together. Sometimes separately. Tho these days not so much. So. White got married a few years ago and has a kid. But she has some videos from 2 days ago. This one has the most views, over 42m. On another channel it has 50m. It's a cover of BIGBANG Fantastic Baby

I suggest you also react to a few songs by Trident, the band Junna used to be in. Her successor on drums in the band, Nagisa, is also an absolute beast. Junna tends to get more attention than Nagisa because she is more of a solo artist but I think Nagisa actually fits the band better and absolutely has the skills to take the job even with Junna having been there before.

She used to be with a band called Trident but they all had issues with her speed in drumming from the article I read last year and she has been on her own ever since. Between Junna and Haruna it is hard to choose which is my favorite drummer right now

There's always some kid on TH-cam that smokes you. Does not matter, you play for yourself and because you love the instrument. Junna I think teaches drummers a very important skill: have a blast and smile. This skill is harder to teach than some of the technical playing. Plenty play really well, but are very serious...........not so much fun to watch vs someone like Junna, same for any instrument.

In her Doki Doki morning cover you kan see her technique left foot more clearly (look at your own and try to copy). Be inspired as I have been inspired to take on the guitar again (and I aren't good at all) thanks to Lovebites.

There are some facts which cannot be denied. Be the best in the West. There is always a teenager in South East Asia who is better. Maths is a very good example. Also check out Ami Kim the Korean. Different and more mature style. Good luck with your drumming and keep on rocking.
