Yes those are the Subaru Wilderness mud flaps. Normally I would have gone with Rally Armor mud flaps but these are well-designed and way less "flappy", but still allow you to wash the dirt and snow from between the flap and bodywork.
Dear Kaz; thank you for your description. I am looking for a hybrid SUV, which can handle snow and dirt roads with no problems. What are your thoughts on a hybrid outback wilderness? I hope it will be on the market soon.
The Forester will be the first model in our line-up go hybrid and see full-scale production, and if you can wait it should be available in a year or two. A non-Wilderness Subaru is still going to be very capable on snow and dirt roads. Hybrid Wilderness Outback would be very cool but nothing confirmed yet. I got only 21mpg on my Wilderness, yet I got 28mpg on my RAV4 Limited 4WD with the 3.5 V6. But on my Gutless 2.5L 182hp 4cyl Forester I get 25mpg. I should have kept my RAV4
@@SubaruKaz I just traded off my LEMON 🍋 Subaru for a slightly used (6K mile) 23 Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab with a 6’ bed. I’m glad to have gotten rid of my 🍋
Good info, 🙏
My passenger seat is power, isn’t that standard for the wilderness?
Keep in mind this is a Canadian model, US spec might have slight differences.
@@SubaruKaz good point. Thx.
@@SubaruKazSo it's friendlier and more polite than the US spec? Does that mean your Outback beeps at you less than our loud US spec? 😉
@@Monkeyseemonkey79 It still beeps at you but then it apologizes for doing so.
I have the same identical car.. along with the mud flaps and tinted front windows
You have great taste!

Ah! Should have caught it in your video. Lol. Had to watch it again. Haha. Tks Kaz!!

Is this the grey or black?
This is the Magnetite Grey Metallic.

To be fair, the non-Wilderness Outback XT's get better fuel economy if that's a priority, but the trade-off here is the capability and fun-factor!

That's a nice truck, congrats. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's not exactly an improvement on your focus of fuel economy.
@@SubaruKaz Nope it’s not an increase on fuel economy, rather than its proven in reliability and durability.
Sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with your Outback. My family is still driving my grandfather's 1993 Legacy wagon.
