Much respect to cheerleaders and their supporters. Anyone who has been involved knows how legitimately difficult and competitive that life is. Both of my daughters were involved for years and captained their respective State Championship squads all four years of high school. This cheer dad misses those days. People think it's all creampuff and glitter, but it was hard stuff.

Hi Meg, I'm back to episode one, as i wanted to learn about your whole experience from your very beginning, and i loved hearing your story, you're a girl who new her mind from a very early age, and i find it remarkable what you've achieved in this short time, you truly are an inspiration. What a terrible moment for you, at just 15, and driving your car into a swimming pool, i can't imagine the fear of it, and hope you got out without an injury, i imagine your love for athletics, played a part in your escape, and how on earth was it recovered! Your journey continued with three children, becoming a biker, starting your own law firm and car washing businesses, and looking to expand, the world is your Oyster. A great story and thank you for sharing it with us.

Aww thank you! I appreciate your support and feedback. I wasn’t hurt when the car went into the pool and we needed a Crain to get it out! 😳🤣 At least now it makes for a great story.

Wow. So glad I came back here to see the beginnings of your channel. It seems YT decided I need to watch your latest video today and with it being the sissy bar install and the screenshot of you being so beautiful, of course, I did watch.
Having the context of how this fits into your life is wonderful for any who finds it. You are more than impressive with your athletic life, professional life, and the 3 kids. You certainly seem to have found the right balance thru it all - congrats!
Almost 3 decades into a finance career and about 1/2 of that being Blessed to run my own shop...i find riding is the perfect way to decompress. There are days I just can't wait to go for a ride, hear nothing but my pipes, and get to some back roads for some much needed HD therapy.
As a business owner, attorney, and life long person in the public eye, you obviously have full knowledge of your beauty and how it translates to views, growth of pages, channels, and sponsors, but its equally easy to see you aren't doing this for financial or even egocentric reasons...you have success on a great scale already.
This is too long but I wanted to say thanks. My wife was about your height and weight. It's a fond memory to see. Our kids are grown and married now. They remember their mom riding with me I know... among other memories.
As I cruise into the next chapters of my life...its encouraging to see someone like yourself; for selfish reasons, sure... but also for the causes of more people riding motorcycles, staying engaged in their lives with passion, and staying vibrant, fit, and healthy.
Riding has been a part of my life since I was a kid...I couldn't imagine my life without it. I've been lucky to take some great trips all over this country and plan many more. I'm on my 7th HD now over 30 years, it's a marvelous brand that has instant connection with people over. Every gas stop can lead to a new conversation!
I hope your joy continues to expand. Good luck on your journey.

I recently sub'd your channel and I like what I see from you guys. A little about me. I live in Myrtle Beach and I rode for about 50 years. Most of those years were on Harley Davidson's. I owned five Ultra Classics, the last one was a 110th anniversary with a stage 1 kit, Vance & Hinse pipes and all the chrome. It was a beautiful beast. I really miss riding, but alas..my disability is such that I thought it might be wise to put away riding for good. I even went the trike rout for a while. So now I watch YT vids and I found your channel and it is good stuff. Keep rolling kids...We like what we see. Peace !

Hi, this is Steve (aka Dirty Steve) I'm Linda Myer's husband. Just began watching your channel. You asked in an early vid about good riding areas. Here are some places that we have ridden and love: The northwest section of AR, the mountainous section of the Ozarks are fabulous. Of course of TN and western VA and NC, Tail of the Dragon, Black Hills of SD. Those are all places we have ridden and love. Don't bother or waste time and money riding in south FL, great winter weather but boring riding. Many, many more areas to discover and ride.....beleive it or not, western WI near the Mississippi River has some amazing riding areas. We live 40 miles north of Chicago and ride WI when riding locally. Have fun, Ride safe !

Good luck on your journey Meg, I have ridden for nearly 50 years and can honestly say "motorcyling saved my life" you will meet many many wonderful people in this sport, also you will be exposed to some rather strange folks with crazy ideas. You decide whats right for you, but you're not stupid, you would do that anyway. So, best of luck to you, perhaps we may bump into oneanother at some rally, or show. This is the greatest hobby on earth as you will soon come to know.

I know it's been a year since this video came out, but appreciate you taking the time to do the video. I sold my bike back when my son was born in 2009. Haven't ridden since then. Just bought a new Sportster 883 Iron myself. I have been relearning how to ride again. Been riding in my neighborhood as well. Have started going out on the highway and learning the clutch, brake, and such. I used to ride sports bikes and now transitioned to a Harley. Good luck to you and hope you accomplish all that you want as well on this new journey!!

Watched the video of her friend Lauren buying first bike. Enjoyed it,she made a good decision on her bike. Now,about 8 years ago riding with a bunch, including a new female rider,a storm was coming in. Rest of pack booked it west to beat storm, leaving myself and my then 14 year old daughter to babysit the new rider who didn’t know the road and was scared. I’ll never forget that night, and won’t ever ride with many of those people again. I’m a mechanic, and much as I hate to pass by,if it’s one of those from that night who is broken down,I wave and keep going. I’ve had bikes since my first mini in 67,never abandoned anyone until that episode.

The largest motorcycle rally happens in the heart of the Black Hills in early August every year. It is in Sturgis but the riders take advantage of all the Black Hills tourist area. Stumbled on this video. Old guy here, 63. Been riding for 52 years all kind of bikes on and off road recreation and competition. Please start wearing more gear. Minimal protection is cool until its not. At least full face helmet, good gloves, jacket, boots and some kevlar jeans. Next to eye and head protection gloves are the most essential item. It is human reflex to put your hands out To break a fall. Wife and I went down in Daytona a few years ago when an 85 year old lady side swiped us on a multi lane surface street. Buddy and his girl friend were behind us. Buddy is PSP so he has seen his share of accidents. His girl friend wore a loose fitting open face helmet until she seen the front om my helmet post crash. I still have a picture of my full face Aria. The front of the helmet was full on road rash. I keep the picture and use it for shock treatment. It was the last Friday of bike week that year when the incident occured. Paramedics said it was the first MC crash that year where they didn't even need to do first aid. It sure was hot that year riding in a full face helmet, full finger gloves and an armoured Vanson. Did sweat like crazy in traffic riding but it was sure nice riding home in the truck that year with no road rash. Not preaching. Just consider it.

I recommend that you wear a good sturdy leather jackets and riding pants with pads for protection every time you ride. I’ve seen too many pretty women get hurt badly when they take a spill which can happen to a best rider. And of course wear a good high quality riding helmet. Glad you have found your passion which is important in life. It’s impressive that you own your own law firm. Looks like you have it all, beauty, brain and passion for having fun.

Hi Meg, I have a Badass light on my bike, it make me feel saver. The brake light is very bright and it flashes as you press on my brakes which can be adjusted.

@@megsmotorcyclejourney Yup I added an Admore LED Light on the back of my bike.. It mounts to the Licence Plate bracket.. My Stock tail light and turn signals are still in place.. This is the one I recomend.. It flashes even when you decelerate..

thank you for sharing your upbringing with us. You had a very loving family and nice life. Sportsters ??? UGH !!! Your Low Rider is much better suited to you and comfort. Sportie's are top heavy and rough riding, not at all comfortable , IMHO . You were and still are, quite the athletic Lady. Way to go, Gurl !!!

Great vid, looks like you are progressing nicely since this one. Saw where you mentioned your husband doesn’t ride, my wife doesn’t either. I hope one day I can at least get her to ride with me, but I don’t think it’s her thing. On a side note, my daughters will go out with me, and they love it! 🙂
I agree with you though, best feeling in the world.
Stay safe and keep it shiny side up!

#Maryland Represent! This is so awesome ya know? I’m young guy, who just got his drivers license but I’m itching to go after my M-Cert in March so I can ride on the road, and everyone keeps trying to talk me out of it, but seeing you represent in my home state, only confirms my desire even more ✌🏾

Good luck finding time to ride with the commitment to your level of fitness, kids, job(s).... that’s the toughest challenge for me these days anyways lol ... commute to work everyday before COVID... now it’s a ride here and there on weekends. Funny though, moms find time to do way more than any of us cavemen. I’ve had 2 different Iron 883’s great bikes to learn on. Hope my wife eventually gets her license, she’s been waiting on our daughter to be a little older lol..Good luck and be safe

i learned, as a boy, on skates, scooters, bicycles . . . then a Honda P-50!!! before tackling bigger ones. Nowadays i watch girls on bikes. After painful lessons, i became real careful to always wear proper gear and do timely maintenance. So many friends who did not learn early like me, did not ride all that much ( sporadic. weekenders ) , proly took unnecessary risks & disregarded riding safety tips . . . are now luckily in heaven. So, Please Be Safe Always Grrrl. & Do Remember to Sun Block!
