Good choice I one 2018 with the 107 and 16 inches bars and she is perfect. You have storage, better lighting, better seat plus floors boards. You are going to like a lot.
i dont know if your aware but on the Heritage when you turn on the high beams, the highway lights turn off, you can have the bike flashed at Harley so that they remain on.

I'm glad she got the heritage it's a nimble little bike great in town and on the freeway I have one that's almost 70,000 miles on the bike and has 9300 on a rebuild and I love it good for her I'm proud of her

Great choice, as her skill and comfort level grow she will be glad that she chose the Heritage. Especially if she is gonna be doing any touring, its a bigger and heavier bike but so much more comfortable and a smoother ride. During the video I kept waiting for one of you guys to explain that to her, but in the end, you did the right thing by letting her decide while just being there to offer reassurance and encouragement instead of pushing her in any direction. When you have as much time on a bike as you guys, it's all second nature, but when you are a newbie, it feels like a major life decision, which it really is. That was cool the way you were there to walk your friend through it all.
I have an 04 Heritage Softail and love it. Great comfortable riding bike. Am thinking of getting a newer model for the bigger engine so I can keep up with all my brothers newer bikes, but other than that, wouldn’t change a thing. Hope Lauren has many great years of riding on hers.

Lauren good choice with the Heritage, you looked at home on that bike after switching with the Salesman!! As a footnote I joined the Harley Family about 3 weeks ago with a Reef Blue/Vivid Black Heritage.
I don’t ride Harley’s but I was really impressed with the Heritage Softail 114 I demoed in late 2017 after the new softails came out with the M8 engines. The only thing I didn’t like about the Heritage at the time of their release was the spoked wheels. Now I see that Lauren’s ride has cast or mag wheels which should have tubeless tires. Makes me happy. Now, if I was shopping for a bike and I decided on a Harley it would be a Heritage with the 114 engine. Definitely.
This is a great video. Watching Lauren's trepidation to begin with. To seeing her confidence increasing. To the indecision, to the joy when it was in the garage. I tbought she would go with the Heritage with mid controls
The white Heritage is my favorite Harley! Full fenders, classic Harley look, not insanely big, bigger gas tank, better shock, driving lights add a lot of extra light at night, floorboards are huge for leg comfort, ABS, cruise control. I could go on and on. I'd add a little chrome and replace the tank badge but I'm old and I always need more chrome. I just think the badge is hideous. Awesome bike! Congratulations!
I have a 2020 Heritage Classic and it is a great riding bike. I haven't second guessed my choice since the ride home with the bike. Comfortable for me at 5'7", plenty of power, the windshield keeps the bugs, wind and rain from being so intrusive and the bags make it perfect for short or longer rides. You made a great choice!!!
Glad you got the Heritage, I have a 2019 Heritage that is wicked red and twisty cherry in color with the 114 motor. They are great bikes, I love mine and I'm sure you will love yours as well. Happy riding

she made the right decision, everything that heritage has she would have added to the street bob....mid controls are geat if have some place else to stretch out, with the floorboards you have a lot more room to move around...windshield on or off , makes a completely different look...she did good picking that one, especially if she is gonna be riding with you guys! lol Sláinte!
Good she was able to test ride several models. I bought my‘king’ in winter and have certain regrets about it. For years I ride nothing but rigid S with kick start. That’s my biggest regret,but I’ll build another one soon.

Most excellent !!! Lauren looks Great and Comfortable on the Heritage!!! I heard the conversation lean a little towards engine size and keeping up. I always go Tim The Tool Man style and get big and or improved engine/s. If I may, about keeping up, aside form motorcycles (the other brand) I ride a Cannondale SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD Sram Red, street bicycle and the one thing I've learned about both aspects (motorcycles and bicycles) is that, during noncompetitive riding.... the fastest bike or cyclist is as fast as the slowest bike or cyclist.. that's what keeps it Fun and allows "everybody" to have a good time. Nice Bike Lauren !!!
Congratulations! I have the exact same bike (year and color). Certainly not suggesting anything mod-wise (except for engine and saddlebag bars), but trust me...you can go just BANANAS with the upgrades. Enjoy!

That`s a big heavy bike with a huge engine! My first motorcycle was a honda shadow 600. Very exciting getting a new motorcycle, good for you. The touring capabilities on the Heritage is a huge plus. First bike doesn't have to be a smaller bike with a smaller motor. My first street bike was a CBR600. And my first Harley was a VROD. She will grow right into the motor and not have to upgrade 6 mos from now to keep up with everyone else. Hell, the bikes only "heavy" when you have to pick it up lol
I havent liked the looks of the heritage for the past few years but this one is beautiful. I was set in my ways and favored the big studded bags, and seat, but this one changed my mind. Great choice!! Ride safe. I have a 96 heritage softail special that rarely gets ridden, but i wont sell it because i know i would miss it.

Tip to getting bike off side stand..place your right hand on grab and left hand fingers at base of gas tank and lift. Amazingly it will glide right up!old timer told this old timer that’s how he handles his tourer

Heritage is an incredible bike, rides a lot lighter than it is. I went through about 5 different Harleys in 5 years before I settled on my 2018 Heritage. LOVE IT!
Had a 2020 Heritage in the spruce green color. Loved that bike, seating position on it felt almost perfect, seemed like you got into that bike instead of onto it. It was light enough I could throw it around when doing slow speed skills in the parking lot. That 114 is incredibly torquey and has tons of power. Only reason I sold it was I fell in love with a Road King Special with the snake venom paint, the ride quality is just night and day different. Sacrificed Miss Softail for a new car for my wife. Lauren's going to love the Heritage as her first bike, great choice.

Heritage is an incredible bike, rides a lot lighter than it is. I went through about 5 different Harleys in 5 years before I settled on my 2018 Heritage. LOVE IT!

Had a 2020 Heritage in the spruce green color. Loved that bike, seating position on it felt almost perfect, seemed like you got into that bike instead of onto it. It was light enough I could throw it around when doing slow speed skills in the parking lot. That 114 is incredibly torquey and has tons of power. Only reason I sold it was I fell in love with a Road King Special with the snake venom paint, the ride quality is just night and day different. Sacrificed Miss Softail for a new car for my wife. Lauren's going to love the Heritage as her first bike, great choice.
