What is all the BUZZ about Bees in Farming Simulator 22

- Bees take on a new live in Farming Simulator 22. In past Farming Simulator titles we have seen placeables that provide us idle income per hour only. Now we have bees that spawn us honey and give us a bit of a yield bonus on select crops.

It’s alright having an effective radius for each hive, but having a visible radius while placing would be a good idea…
Indeed - a perfect opportunity to expand on the map filter. TL:DW - you're better off simply testing on your own, setting up your own test fields with parameters and discovering the effectiveness. Way too much hearsay and 'I don't know's' for 10 mins worth of your time.
it's kinda cool to have the mechanic of a slight increase in crop yield... but also kinda hilarious how they went about it... bees travel up to 4 miles / 6.44 km from the hive to collect pollen.. it does not matter too much how big the hive is, with the only factor of a bigger hive meaning the near pollen supplies are used up faster.
it would make more sense to not have differing ranges on the different sizes, but differing yield bonuses, as if course a smaller number of bees will not be able to spread as much pollen as 30x the same number of bees will be.
So the metric they lock on is kinda dumb, and the ranged are kinda way too nerfed
The yield bonus is legit only within its radius, large fields would need more hives to cover its acreage. The honey spawn point being anywhere is clever find thanks!
In a previous video I asked you about rollers and i found some info on when to use them within a crops lifespan for maximum yield ill post there here for you:
Mulch
Plow (if needed)
Lime (if needed)
Remove the stones (small ones by rolling, if you have big stones use the picker)
Cultivate (skip to planting if you have plowed or used the stone collector)
plant/sow
Roll
x2 fert
weeds

I like the idea of bees, I just wish there was some more gameplay to them. I find it cheaty to plop down thing and get free money. Though they might be good as part of the cereal chain later in game, as it adds another step onto the mix.
That makes it nice you can put the honey spawn anywhere
What a crock from Giants, I use to keep bees and first off, on average, they will normally fly around a 1 mile from the hive and can be found as far away as 5 or 6 miles. Also the size ,or amount, of hives would not have any effect on how far the individual bee flies, try telling a drone he can only fly 150 Metres when he wants to get his rocks on with a queen a mile up the road.
Anyhow their goes my role playing in the dumpster...nice one Giants, try Googling bees next time.

I've not set out bees yet, but it's in my farm plans. .I'm mainly looking to get the honey for the cereal plant. I own the plant now, so hopefully soon it will be up and running.
I wonder if the 3 to 5 percent increase bonus stacks? Like if i put down 4 beehives next to each other overlapping coverage of a field is it then 12 to 20 percent? Probably not but if so thats a huge bonus.
I would find it interesting if there was a bonus to HONEY production as well when bees were placed near a flowering field. I wonder if anyone has tried to test if that's a thing.

I know you say distance I.E 150mt, 100mt etc. Is that radius or from the front opening in a straight line. Anybody know!!!
Place the beehive spawn point at the building that needs honey for cereal. That's a smart move.

If you can. On ElmCreek you cant put it right at the factory as its on unbuyble land but ya if you can get it close then its not as far to transport.

One fellow already asked this, but he hasn't gotten an answer yet, but is the Beehive range in a radius or diameter? Like, for the largest hive, does it stretch out 150 meters from the hive in any direction, or only 75 meters away, giving it a diameter of 150 meters around the hive?
I've been thinking about setting up some hives for an area that I'm growing Canola, Sunflower and Potatoes in, but I want to try and maximize the area of effect around them with "shared" hives.
I dont know if anyone really knows for a fact but I would suspect its diameter. I wished they showed the area of effect when placing by a glowing circle.
The only thing about the honey you didn’t see is the spawn only spawns the one pallet 120. If you move the pallet each hour you will get another pallet that is the bug spawn only has the one pallet and if you don’t move it that’s the only one you will have even after a few days
Seeing that as well. You get the same amount with any size hive and across days. Needs to be fixed
Yeah, I decided they're not worth it at 120l/pallet
Does the spawn point max out at one pallet?
Yes. If your on PC I found a mod floating around that expands that to up to 8 pallets I think. Maybe its pending testing for all platforms who knows there are so many pending testing right now.
Is it the more beehives u have the more honey it produces?
yes.
For me on PS4 I only get 1 pallet to spawn at a time. I have to watch it and move it when full. Is that the same for everyone else or a, eh hm.. bug?
Yeah every hour you have to move the pallet and get another one
