    I have the Steeda Axle Back. Love the sound. No drone. Quiet while crusing and loud at half and full throttle. You can hear it approx mile away. I live in the woods/back roads. . Thinking about adding an H Pipe.

      The h pipe gives a deep sound over raspy which is why I went with the h pipe. Yea I wanted the steeda axle back cause they sound good but went with outlaws instead.

    Just ordered a Steeda H pipe last night. Should have it in a week hopefully. My Roush axle-back exhaust is loud already, this is gonna make it crazy. And this is for my wifes '19 GT convertible.

    5.0PRIM.0, great video. I just bought a 2020 GT and I’m going to be installing a Steeda H-Pipe this week. I just wanted to confirm that you place the H Pipe mid-way on the front Stock clamps and then make the marks to cut the tail pipes, as I don’t want to remove the tail pipes. Thank you.

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is correct. The front you use stock clamps and for the rear make the marks and cut the end of the resonator and use clamps provided.

    So the rear pipes do not insert into the rear of the H pipe? When you cut them they just fit flush and the clamps create a seal?

      Correct. Same with the front.

    Is it possible to use a pipe expander so the rear section of the h pipe slips inside the axle back pipes for a less exhaust leak?

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might be able to. If that's the case might as well get a muffler shop to weld it.

    Hey primo quick question how hard is it to just weld it in the back section towards the mufflers. Cuz im planning to do that. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shouldn't be hard just remove the exhaust from the back hangers so it can drop some to give you a better angle. But have like a trans jack still supporting. If doing on the floor might be a bit more tough.

      @primofx2sport  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! Well I went with a flowmaster outlaw along with this. I got a vid posted on the channel. It's crazy loud so dont really need a different setup. Although corsa did come out with a double h pipe. Curious how that sounds. But I'll do long tubes before switching to another exhaust setup.

    • @yurboygoose4202
      @yurboygoose4202 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are expensive! My brother wants the corsa double helix one but with long tubes it's like 3-4k lol

    I wonder if it would be raspy like that with the active exhaust?

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because with the active exhaust the exhaust is able to open up more. The restrictions on the non active exhaust is what makes it sound raspy but the h pipe gives it that deep tone. It will sound good on active. I have another vid on the channel with flowmaster outlaws axle back.

    • @wade998
      @wade998 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The base exhaust sounds much better.

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wade998 i had to go aftermarket being boosted. There was way too much restriction from the stock exhaust.

  • @scatpack1381
    @scatpack1381 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why does that h-pipe sound more raspy than deep?

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because of the stock mufflers non active exhaust. Too much restriction. If would been active exhaust it would sounded way better! Ended up putting a flowmaster outlaw axle back and the tone was deep over raspy.

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's because the stock mufflers are still present so there's rasp at higher rpm. It doesn't sound anything like that now with my flowmaster outlaw axle back. I'll be doing my catless longtubes this weekend so I should have a video of that up soon.

  • @jaspreetdhaliwal6241
    @jaspreetdhaliwal6241 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    what’s the reason behind all the rasp is it a x pipe or just the camera

    • @primofx2sport
      @primofx2sport  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really its the stock mufflers. Its a h pipe that was installed and it give a deep tone but with the stock mufflers it still has restrictions. The restriction is what causes the rasp once it gets into higher rpms. If you watch my other vid I got rid of the stock mufflers and installed a axle back. It got rid of the rasp. Its just a deep tone now because I went with flowmaster outlaws.
