In CA we get 1.5 x per overtime hour worked. But then again, CA living cost is much higher than Texas so it all balances out in some way or form.
there is a wide variety of things that could be deemed challenging. For me personally it’s been following up behind people that do the job to the full extent so it throws extra work on my day. Also salesmen can send heavy loads on the days you dread going to work haha

I briefly worked as a Pepsi merchandiser in 2021 and they didn’t pay us to travel to work or back home. I had 3 stores once which were like 1, maybe 2 miles apart and I had to travel at least 30 miles to get there. So I only get reimbursed for 2 miles? Such a BS job lol
No. Most markets Pepsi will only pay you mileage from your first store to your last. There are some that will pay you from your home to your first store.

In my region we do place orders on salesmen days off. It all depends on location for sure but not all merchandisers will have to. We have a total of 14 merchandisers and only 5 place orders.
sales rep is the person who places the order for stores. They are on a different pay scale because they make money on commission + the hourly rate they have. I’m not really sure what that is but some guys said they money is good.

Its been 2 months ago so this may not matter but I am a sales rep for Coke. We do merchandise as well. Our pay is based on salary plus a nickel for every case sold. It's a decent living but having a good relationship with your merchandiser is key communication is imperative. You can quickly watch a store go to crap if salesmen and merchandisers are not on the same level.

To make really good money as a merch you have to work a ton of hours. Extra hours five days a week and coming in on your off days. Once you divide the salary by the total hours you have ended up working you quickly see it's not worth it.
