Unk COOP.. and well respected and love from PASADENA to LA to the HALL OF FAME.. priceless and well deserve .. get EDDIE JONES . Next in all the smoke , to see what he knew on KOBE in PHILLY to the lakers . And great brothers and family.. 🙏💪🏆
I met Coop when I was a kid at Roger's Park in Inglewood. He was the only one of 3 Lakers who were there who actually talked to me. Cool as a mf! He's been my favorite Laker ever since. 21 is still my favorite number too! 🫡 Cooooop!
I met him at Rowley Park near Gardena. I wanna say it was 1994 or 95. Me and my friends had been hoopin and was just about to leave when he walked in. He was cool. He was up there yo worl out with someone. We didn't stick around to find out..
Some of my first memories of watching the game of basketball in the late 80s is this man (Michael Cooper) purple and gold jersey and high socks, he was the first 3 and D Player, Coop would lockdown his man, run the wing, dunk and shoot the 3, he never stopped running, the cardio of the Old School Players should be studied, because he could run all day!
I always loved watching him and Bird go at it. But his most amazing matchup was watching him go against Walter Davis before Walter blew his knee out. I still can't believe no team gave him the chance to coach an NBA team after all the success he's had coaching in the WNBA.
Think about what he said early on about how he was a scoring machine in college before going pro. Dennis Rodman was the same way at the school he went to before going pro.
Every player today should pay homage to the 80s Lakers/Celtics. NBA wouldn't exist and the money. Barkley made 200K a year when he became a star. First million dollar player didn't happen until late 80s.
the characterization of jerry west on that awful show was an all-out assassination. it was despicable, entertainment or not.. hated it.. and i don't even like the lakers.. saw every series in the 80s though.. RIP NBA.
Michael Cooper all time great defender and Laker Legend 👌
So much respect for Michael Cooper 👏🏿
Bird is my favorite and much respect for Coop. Honestly I have zero issue with that old Lakers squad. Was great basketball.

Coop inspired my sportsman like gangsta on the court and the field of play. Best #6 legend in the game!
Come on fellas. The reason why the guy who played Norm Nixon did it so well was because it was his son DeVaughn Nixon.
Im glad I stuck around to the very end to hear Jason hit those vocals! 😅😂
Michael Cooper used to rock the highest socks. I made this comment before I heard it in the interview lol
Wow!!! Cool story from coop👏👏👏
