Outstanding run.
The commentary was interesting and funny.
Each runner was very familiar with the run and very organized.
I LOVED how they had a 4 player co-op. especially with the 4 players, one controller final boss.
It made me think of them as the giants, saving Termina as they worked together to stop Majora(:
I felt kinda bad for thief bug lol. It was like he one of the most stressful segments with the gold dust glitch, goron race, and then the notorious stone tower temple (which has a lot of hard tricks, chances to die, and twinmold).
I dunno about gold dust, it's a 2 frame window and only consists of mashing. But yeah, all of those are pretty bad run killers.

I split up this ru. Throughout 3 days watching it on and off. It was a great run in fact one of the best runs I've watched. Right from the get-go we're amazing tricks but what makes this one better than most? Is the excellent couch commentary. They each support one another and it's amazing watching someone setup a trick that another one will have to finish in their part. They offer great insight on each trick and overall this was by far the best couch comm AGDQ has had imo

35:00 I love how this game has so many incredible exploitative glitches that doesn't bother the game at all, but having a flask early, THAT is the straw that breaks the camel's back and causes it to softlock. Wonderful!
My dad once used ice arrows and chatteu romani to get out to the great bay temple you can see from the beach. Its just a cardbaord cuttout with an effect.

So many people hating on the donation reader for saying "Ratchet and Clark" instead of "Ratchet and Clank". How do you know she wasn't just reading something that had a typo? When you have a job like that, you read stuff exactly as it's written, because even if she noticed the typo, it might have been exactly what the writer meant to say. Obviously that ended up not being the case, but she couldn't have known without blatantly calling attention to it. Plus, I see so few of you criticizing whoever wrote those text overlays for saying "Shovel Night" instead of Knight.

people caring about spelling mistakes or anything like that are one of the only two kinds of people, that deserve cancer (or aids, im not picky). the other ones are the attention whoring donators who HAVE to let everyone know that any motherfcker close to them died when they donate. like who the fuck cares? i guess even more people care about spelling mistakes than about these people.

man there are so many good parts in this run. during the dog race where the whole room cheered gave me chills. so many people laughing and having a good time over a silly dog race in a Zelda game c: I hope I can attend one of these wonderful events someday. Also I would have loved to see the amount of frankerZ spam in the chat during the dog race

By far probably one of the most entertaining Zelda runs I've seen. The runners were constantly explaining things and making things very interesting. Awesome job

Was looking up some random stuf, apperently this run is faster than the 10th pb on the ranking. Also 4 days ago Trevperson got a run under 5 hours. Awesome run, loved the Blindfolded fight, I hope there will be more long interesting runs like this on future GDQ events.
Seriously one of the best runs I’ve seen at these events. The couch was really engaging the entire time and there were always tricks being done. The finale is also really great.

Watched it during the event but I'm gonna watch it again, just because it was my absolute favourite. I love everything about this run; the skill, the commentary, the sheer entertainment value. It's all good.
Awesome! I'm getting really into speedruns. Zelda Majora's Mask is one of my favorite games even though many people don't like the constant pressure of the 3 day cycle. I think this game really stands on is own since it's the only console Zelda that is playing in a different world with a different setting and there is no princess Zelda at all!
The 100% category shows pretty much the entire game except for story details. And there are a lot of little NPC stories to discover in this game. Just think about the little girl with the zombie father in a house surrounded by zombies!
When I was a kid I tried to achieve a somewhat "perfect" story cycle. In this game you can revisit the dungeons after you beat them and go directly to the boss-fights to "heal" the different areas again. So in this cycle my goal would be to make as many people as possible happy, defeat all the bosses of course and go to fight Majora in the end.
The challenge is pretty much the same as in your second cycle, there's a lot of stuff to do. And a lot of it happens on specific points in time. In order to do the lovers quest there are many points in time you have to be.
Seeing this goal makes me want to achieve this goal again. I think I'll give it a try :-)

The archery mini-game is way easier on the 3DS versions - aiming with the gyro sensor is a doddle!
Yea, especially since the sharp tip of the arrow is exactly where it's going to hit, it's so much more accurate!
Just finished watching through the entire thing single segment. Easily one of the best runs I've seen at one of these events. Right up there in my personal top 5 with most enjoyable runs. Great job guys.

Honestly my favorite run of the marathon. Since AGDQ I think I've watched it about 4 times (including staying up to the unholy hours that it was originally broadcast at) because this game and run are just that good! Really hoping that this run comes back at future GDQ events because it was a blast to watch

I love that they can get 4 people to play MM at the same time, but can't get 4 people to play 4 Swords Adventure at the same time.
"Swamp archery is way easier than town archery" Really? The town archery is pretty easy for me, I have a lot more trouble with the swamp. The town targets are large and stationary and a lot easier to hit imo.

I've watched this so many times, and I have tried to play Majora's Mask through so many times but I always got stuck at certain parts. Ended up going back to play it recently mostly because of this run. After beating the game, this is so much more impressive to see.

Just saw this year's Relay but it did not hit the same.
Every time I get down I always seem to pull this speed run up and it never fails to cheer me up.
I was gonna watch this while doing some grinding but I was so captiated I just watched the whole thing by itself. Really fun run withy some great commentators. A++ totally recommended.

It took me years to even play this game because it scared me as a child and to this day it still spooks me, but damn after finally getting the courage, it's my fav game ever and this speedrun just made me happy. I just got into speedruns and this is a great one, entertaining, great commentary, my fav game, AND 5 HOURS! POPCORN TIME!
Great run! Very proficient tricks, helpful (and supportive) couch commentary, an energetic crowd and runners, and a timely announcer. One of the best I've watched so far for such a good game! Sad it had to end.

Spectacular run, with many interesting tricks and *fantastic* commentary. In my eyes, GDQ is as much about the couch commentary as it is about the run itself; you could just watch any given streamer, but the beauty of GDQ is that the tricks, glitches, and route are explained to those unfamiliar with the game. This is probably my new favorite run :)

What do the donators mean by "kill the animals"?
It's a donation incentive for Super Metroid. At the end of the game you can take a detour to save some animals. Or you can choose to ignore them, thus killing them, to save time.
It has been a GDQ tradition and it's always an ungoing "donation war" which one of the two that will win =).

they're actually playing on the Wii Virtual Console. the N64 that's under the title just mentions where the game was first released.

I think the announcer is one of the best I’ve ever seen at GDQ’s, she’s very expressive, respectful of the comments she reads aloud AND the runners. It really peeves me when announcers are too distracting from the run and commentary but this one knows what she’s doing. I know it was all a few years ago but I still wanted to say that ♥️
