    Thank you for this walkthrough and the link to FreedAI. I wonder how it would manage a psychiatric visit, ie Psych eval part, you wouldn't necessarily speak the components aloud. This could keep in the field another ten years... rather than ditching for the knitting shop cafe i was dreaming about!

      You could always vocalize the psych eval after you walk out of the room. It would act more as a dictation at that point. Freed AI is also working on utilizing templates (has not officially been released yet) which would be very helpful for this type of visit!

    Can you do a complicated H&P with multiple diagnoses, chronic conditions and multiple problems?

    • @npchartingschool
      @npchartingschool  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can! I try to make sure the conversation is organized for better flow from Freed AI. For example, I will say "Now lets talk about your diabetes." Sometimes the information will be out of order so I will have to edit for it to make sense. I also have perfectionist tendencies when it comes to charting and I like my notes easy to read 🤪

    I tried using it and it looks amazing. Our practice is using Athena. Is this something that can be built in it or be used as an extension?

      I know some of the larger EHR systems are starting to get their own AI technology. This often comes with increased cost and having to complete a complex EHR integration. What is nice about Freed AI is nurse practitioners can sign up themselves and start using right away! I do feel like AI will be the future of healthcare so we may see a lot more innovation in the next few years.

    I have been using Freed AI and it is amazing. However, the one thing I have an problem with is there is a note from 1-12-24 that continues to spin the wheel of death on and every note thereafter is doing the same. You have no contact for the company to reset anything. So, there is no technical support if there is a glitch!

      Have you tried emailing this address: support@getfreed.ai
      If you will can't get through, let me know and I will get a hold of my contact at Freed AI.

    How does the system enter lab reports, physical exam, findings, biopsy discussions, assessment of all the data and all of the prescriptions, and possible interactions?

    • @npchartingschool
      @npchartingschool  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Freed AI uses voice recognition. So if you were talking about the lab reports with the patient and talking about medications, interactions, etc. it would populate into the SOAP note format. You could always talk into your computer to when you come out of the room (if you wanted to add information but not say it in front of the patient).

      @@npchartingschool have you tried to use this in Athena? Athena is not a blank page like epic… Labs and prescriptions under specific diagnosis with ICD 10 codes or they will not be approved… You can't just document like you did in the 1970s… In these days we just dictated to a human being on a tape recorder and it did what you are talking about… Humans were exceptionally good at this as Transcriptions

      @@cathompson58 Do you use templates within Athena? How do you save time charting with the EHR?
      Freed AI allows you to "copy and paste" into your EHR so you can chose which sections to use. For example, in my EHR I have templates built out that "pull over" past medical history, lab results, medications prescribed, etc. I also have a "normal" exam that I can update for each specific patient. Therefore, I do not use the physical exam or objective findings portion of Freed AI. I do use the history of present illness and sometimes the diagnoses and assessment/plan of care. The benefit of Freed AI is you just pull up the website and can begin using it. No complicated integration with an EHR. I hope that makes sense!

      Why promote copying and pasting? This not best practice and prone to errors, just get an AI medical scribe that integrates with your EHR, they are the same price as freed nowadays@@npchartingschool

    The examples were fairly simple complaints. I see very complicated patients with multiple chronic illnesses, how would this work? Thank you

    • @npchartingschool
      @npchartingschool  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Freed AI will abstract the important information said during the visit and then you can chose what you copy and paste into your charting system. For example, during a visit, a patient also mentioned the symptoms their son was experiencing. Freed AI included this information, but I did not copy this section into the chart. Freed AI will include all the information, diagnoses/plan for a complicated patient! They offer the first 10 chart free so you can always trial it before purchase!

    How long does it take the system to scribe a 15-minute meeting? That's approximately the time I see patients. It could be problematic if takes a couple of minutes... It doesn't save time that way and the patient will have to wait..

    • @npchartingschool
      @npchartingschool  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It takes Freed AI about 1-2 minutes to prepare the SOAP note post visit. I usually push the "end visit" as I am walking out of the patient room and by the time I place orders, send prescriptions the note is prepared! I then copy and paste into my charting template and sign the chart note before the patient visit.
      Freed AI offers 10 free visits so feel free to try it out before you subscribe!

    sure it might save you time for this visit, but I don't want to end up with 4 pages of useless documentation where it is literally saying obvious things like , we will draw troponing, we will do ECG etc.......this will make more efficiencies down the road. I want literally less than one page....less is more. May be this is okay for low level health care providers like nurses or nurse practitioners but probably not good for actual doctors

      You know, you do not need to insult someone else’s profession to make a point. Of course if you’re spending time writing out your note, you’re going to want it to be as concise as possible so you can get on with the day. But if something like this is typing it out for you, it takes less time than even your bare bones free-text documentation with more information. How about you go and get a life instead of wasting time writing negative comments under someone else’s video who’s trying to showcase a program that may help someone?

      This is probably the most troll-ish reply I've seen in a medical community dialogue. I'm not sure the person writing the comment has legitimate experience to make a judgment... having read 1000s of 'doctor' notes in my career I can tell you this would be an incredibly high step up!

      A true professional would not make a snyde remark like this one. And if it is a "higher" level provider...whatever the heck that is...I sure am glad I dont know them in any capacity@@annmd1735
