I didn’t. Bought the kit used. The tensioner was the original Single Bearing design. It was prone to early wear. They had since redesigned it to a dual bearing. A new tensioner and pulley were sent out. All is fixed.
Dude really you grab that tensioner and say "THIS IS A LITTLE WOBBLY, I WONDER IF THAT COULD BE A PROBLEM?" - HIRE A MECHANIC OR GOOD FRIEND. YOU ARE GOING TO BREAK SNUFF
Hilarious. I swapped out my differential, enabled linelock, boost gauge, drive modes, installed GT 4 piston brakes all on a base model Mustang. Not to mention I installed the Procharger kit. The sound was hard pinpoint. I have read numerous posts of mechanics not even being able to determine the tensioner was the source. Lol. 🤦🏻♂️ Move along.
Very helpful thanks for this upload
New tensioner assembly from Procharger is $235 better lube up your rear! I did
I run a P1sc and Procharger states to never touch the center tensioner bolt.

Sounds normal.... metal on metal noise coming when you turn it.
