Dear Scottish friend (you are a friend by now and I look forward to your comments) - she really does leave her mark on every song, but this one was really special for me as explained in the video. I did not used to like it, now I can't get enough of her version.
@@AleksReacts I am so glad! Weirdly, when I heard her sing this (long ago) it made me quite emotional at the ending. More so than the original ever did! Even more weirdly, it STILL makes me emotional after 6 years of listening to it - go figure?
Yeah, she gave this song life, while Chris gave it just a sound. Nice melody, but it didn't hit as hard her performance.

Not really, I am actually trying to go along based on suggestions or more importantly number of suggestions for the same song. If 2+ people suggest the same song, I'm guessing that's the one I should do next. This one was suggested by a total of 7 people.
Another factor that plays into what I'm going for next is how I feel on the day of the recording. Do I feel like hearing more Diana, more Lara, more Dimash or someone totally new to me that was suggested by people who seem to like similar music? I loved all 3 artists initially suggested, and whoever's watching my reaction must have liked them too - so probably similar taste in music.
I think ultimately my mood on the day prevails. No point in reacting to something new if you don't feel open to it. Otherwise, that leads to a fake reaction for reaction's sake.
Btw, it's most likely going to be Rechenka - sounds like it's not in English or French and she's Russian, so I want to hear what that sounds like. Just waiting for the right mood to actually immerse myself.

Rechenka, listen to Rechenka .... you'll be blown away by her versatility ..... and her stage performance. I became a huge fan of Diana's voice and presence, she is so "into" the song, totally absorbed and totally committed. If you have the chance, do also "it is not evening yet", a Russian folksong and sang with such a beautiful low voice ..... goosebumps guaranteed! Greetings from the Netherlands.

- их множество. Мало того Диана очень много раз исполняла эту вещь на концертах и по просьбам зрителей в разных вариантах, множество раз, - акапелло. Существует запись очень интересного исполнения Дианой "Реченка" на "Квартирнике у Маргулиса", - там используются электронные эффекты, чем Диана почти никогда не пользуется. Там ей вроде 15 лет, и это было как бы Посвящение Дианы в музыкальный, актёрский, театральный, певческий ЦЕХ, - зрители, - все - певцы, актёры, музыканты, музыкальные критики, продюсеры...

No, not really. All I'm paying attention to is how wonderfully she changed and performed the song. I'm not a professional musician, so I don't know the nuances behind the final outcome. The outcome though IS unique.
The last judge who pressed the button was simply waiting for the right moment, a pause in the vocals, so as not to interfere. This is a famous composer who in the finale gave Diana an apartment in Moscow.
Makes sense, the moment was perfect. My reaction was more because it was so clear she's amazing way before that moment. Not saying I don't trust his judgement, but I would have if he hadn't turned around at all. 😊
@@AleksReacts This judge, Igor Krutoy, he collaborated with Dimash, Lara Fabian and Andrea Bocelli, he wrote many beautiful songs for them. Lara also wrote lyrics for one of Dimash's song. They all are close friends. Lara and Dimash sang together at Igor’s 65 anniversary. Diana was also offered a job after the contest, but unfortunately she declined the offer.
I suggest you react to the song Tomorrow Is A Liar, written for Lara, performed by Diana with Krutoy’s accompaniment.

This explains a lot, mainly why all three, Lara, Dimash and Diana each have such a unique, memorable style and all three can feel the songs they're performing and evoke a strong emotion in the listener. Very different artists, but in a way kindred souls.

Sweet little Diana was pure magic. Go to her official youtube channel and find her cover of the Beatles Oh Darling at 10 years old live at a local radio station. You can hear her deep, powerful voice even before she was a teenager. If you want to hear her sing in an upper register check out her live performance duet of her original song, "The Day You..." You would appreciate Rechenka. It's her signature performance and she was born to sing Russian Folk (modernized). I think you would like her cover of the Louis Armstrong song, "What a Wonderful World" based on what I've seen from you. :) Enjoyed it. @@AleksReacts If there is no HTB logo on the lower left side of the screen the the video will not give you copyright trouble 90% of the time, in the mail that I will sent you, I will give you all the correct links along with secondary links in case of trouble and i will warn you before hand if there are going to be copyrights or not.

Glad that you managed to upload this, i liked your commentary as usual even though unlike you Wicked game is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.
I rate Diana's version on the same level as Chris's maybe slightly above, for me they are different but both masterpieces.
I have an advice and a proposal for you.
First the advice, if you want the blur thing to work in case you want to use it for future videos on other artists then it has to be 50% blurred anything less is still going to trigger the algorithm, another way to do it is by making the video 65% transparent and have either a logo or a picture behind the video, this will do it.
As for the proposal would you be interested if i sent you on a mail the complete Diana Ankudinova journey from her starting days till now with the most important videos of her career compiled chronologically along with some context for each one of them so that you know a little of what you are watching beforehand?
Thank you so much! As for the advice, I still need to figure out how to do any of that, but I will look it up when time allows. This will be a slow, but persistent journey. As for the proposal, yes, please if it's not too much work for you. That would likely help me get all the suggestions I received so far into some kind of order.
I will probably never catch up fully with the reactions. There's only so many one can do within a specific timeframe, but as far as I am concerned, I have years to do this, so I will hopefully get to most of them.

Diana fixed this song for me. I liked it at first, but then I got so fed up with it as it was always playing somewhere when I was younger. Still, I think I'm being objective when I say that this version is indeed better than the original. I haven't done Human yet, I will though. You can always find all of Diana's songs on the playlist on my channel simply named Diana Ankudinova or simply go to my channel page and type Diana in the search. 😊

As you say there have been countless covers, but Diana's is a complete rewrite and a very different arrangement. BTW the judge, who did not press earlier so as not to interrupt the flow of the song, is Igor Krutoy a famous composer and musician who came out of retirement to work with Dimash, he is a great admirer of Diana's and actually got Diana and her immediate family a flat in Moscow so that Diana could go to university and continue her music studies.
Thank you for a wonderful and thoughtful comment. I have to admit I haven't watched Chris Isaak Wicked Game (Live), mainly because I spent my teenage years avoiding the truly overplayed MTV video. On the other hand, I do agree that Chris Isaak's version is still second to Diana's, as all others I've seen so far have made the song even worse than the original.

She won the show both times over 2 years.
