@@robertwiesler381 Just think of the gems on Neil Young & Crazy Horse's Zuma Al;bum---released before the epic "dark, drunken, raw emotional album", "Tonight's the Night. Zuma's song list is bright, cheery, and hopeful... but, then again, there's always the darkness and doubts hanging around right around the corner. in Neil's fertile mind. I have been playing and singin on guitar, Barstool "Blues, for 45 yrs now; deeply personal to me. A few years ago, I read in Rolling Stone Magazine, Songtress and Beautiifully talented Nora Jones---the daughter of Ravi Shankar=---talk about what a huge Neil Young fan she was and has alwayhs been. She listed her Top 10 Neil Young Songs; one of which, is Barstool Blues. She wrote, that growing up, her friends and her would take guitars to the beach at night with bottles of wine and beer, and sing Barstoon Blues at the top of their lungs. That mustt have been a real Kodak Moment---wish I had been there to join in! Robert, I am totally familiar with every Neil Young album, save 2 or 3, since Buffalo Springfield. I feel Zuma ranks in the top 5, right next to Tonight's the Night, Harvest, Ragged Glory and Live Rust...but they are ALL genius! p.s. Having grown up in Santa Monica, California, I HAVE brought my guitar to sing with friends at Zuma Beach in Malibu, Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach, and other Beaches in the Bay Area. Old times---but good times!
@@donriley3349 that's interesting I listen to his music nearly every day Of course I have all his official albums and even more of the - well - 'unofficial' ones Unfortunately I have only seen him 2 times so far 2014 in Vienna with Crazy Horse 2019 in Munich with Promise of the Real I hope he comes back to Europe soon I will be there for sure Greetings from Austria, my friend
finally got to see these guys a few years ago. only had wait 10 or so years( neil doesn't tour the 3rd world very often). one of the finer things i've ever seen.
9 years later and he's still wearing that "EARTH" T-shirt. RiP Rick Rosas...Pancho no longer plays with CH. Talbot had a Stroke, Ben Keith left us years ago, Tim Drummond gone, Jack Neitzsche passed. Neil and Ralph Molina like the only two still kinda standing. Danny Whitten missed since the second album. Elliott, Mazer missing too. God Help us All. Music Remains.
Don't you understand that Rock AND Roll is not a model of perfection or conformity? You are watching and hearing (well maybe not you) Rock n Roll in it's absolute purest form. It has to ROCK!!! but it has to Swing (Roll) too. Neil is old enough to remember Link Wray and Roy Orbison
Absolutely fantastic
One of the best bands on this planet
I saw them in Vienna, I will never forget this
Neil will play forever
RIP Rick
Happy Birthday,Mr.Young!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Yep. If anyone asked me to recommend an example of Neil’s music, I’d have them give Zuma a spin🎶✨

Der Song ist so banal, aber es ist mein Lieblingssong von Neil Young !!!
yeayea but the band is a zombie squad
Crazy Horse
Born To Rock!
They're very businesslike. I prefer it.
It's a Pity! He does not reach to the tone!. He's singing out of tune!. Poor old Neil! Time for retiring?
It's a Neil Young thing, you don't understand
It's indeed not about singing in or out of tune. You have got to feel
He can never retire!!!!!!
Go back and listen to the original song from the Zuma album, it's not far off!
