@@AutoMotiv8ed the oem radiator has a half inch over lip between the radiator fins and the upper and lower rail so i layed the fan shround on top of the bottom side rail and just used some plumbing pipe strap to secure the top side to the radiator oem fan bolts. I can make a quick video showing what i mean if the above didnt make good sense
i have this issue on my forged IS300 making 650hp, i have the Koyo Rad, and its running hot 95-99, im looking at getting bigger fans maybe the PHR ones.
My 98 Supra ran 200-210F in HOT Florida 95F with 80% humidity in traffic with the oem mechanical fan AND the elec fans running for the ac. I removed the mechanical fan and the 3 stock elec fans and put in the IS300 dual 12's and set the thermostat to kick the fans on at 200F .. They cycle just fine
I had the same issue on my supra,, I ripped the mishimoto fans out and put 2x 14inch ebay fans and cut the alloy shroud out to suit and worked a treat
Interesting man!! Love to see that the ebay fans fixed your issues!
Peak contraption haha, love to see its fixed
Thank you sir!! Can't wait to see your Supra on the road!
I had the exact same problem with my wrx last year I removed the mishimoto fans and shroud because of overheating problems not enough air flow
Interesting! So far all I've heard is nothing but issues with these fans and shrouds
I use the IS300 dual 12 inch elec fans
How did you mount them to the rad? PHR shroud or did the is300 shroud fit as a direct bolt on?

Are you still running the stock is300 fans or are they mishimoto fans?
