  • In 1991 in the earliest days of Oasis, all the band's songs were written by Liam Gallagher and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs. The most popular of these early songs was 'Take Me'

I’m glad someone’s covered this. This is the song that made me want to start a band when I saw the scene from the Supersonic documentary. I went to the location of the old boardwalk which was abit surreal to think they played this tune there, 30 years ago.
I covered this by ear when I was 15 so 2/3 years ago now which has kinda become my like spirit song as I know it inside and out haha. I also did this for a project at college which sounded immense to hear through huge monitors after my own rebuild.
I did play this at an open mic once when I said, here’s take me by oasis. Everyone was so confused.
Just a banger which deserves some shine

Also speaking about Bonehead, this might sound silly, but I have a strange request. Recently I've been trying to imagine how that version of Champaigne Supernova on acoustic sung by Noel in the back of the tour van might have sounded like. That version that notoriously made Bonehead cry.
We have acoustic versions for all the songs on MG, but not for that one. Would that have been in A, or in G with a capo? Arpeggiated or strummed? Maybe only Noel and Bonehead remember at this point 😅
