I can't believe Ed O'Neil didn't choose to talk about the greatest game of all time to talk about, where Al Bundy threw 4 touchdowns in one game for Polk Highschool.
My dad watched Married With Children when I was a teen - I’d watch it with him. I thought it was okay. Fast forward 25 years… I went to a job I hated for years, my dreams for my future have died, and the wisdom of Al Bundy makes perfect sense to me.
@@ChristopherSzampaner My job wasn’t great, but nowhere as bad as Al Bundy. If the Al’s of the world could get themselves to work each day, I could face mine. Al Bundy is the American every man.
This was the best interview on this show. Ed O’Neil is my favorite actor nobody can play Al Bundy like he did. I didn’t know he was a professional football player. Great show
When he played Al Bundy, it was like South Park before South Park. When transitioned to Modern Family, I loved his entire arc as an actor. Watching this interview was the cherry on top.
I had no idea Ed played football. He’s officially one of my favorite guys for quotes and my favorite is “women understand women and they hate other woman”, something like that.
First time I watched Ed on TV was Modern Family, my dad said “that’s Al bundy!” Got my history on that and loved watching his movies/shows since. Great actor and seems like a great guy in general!
Hey guys, hocking county born and raised, current athens ohio resident. Hearing you and Ed talk about the hocking river and OU is probably the single coolest thing I've heard this year. My home getting recognition 🙌
This show left me loving both Ed and Jules more than my prior bromances! Great job to the games with names team for supporting and making the whole production so well done. Loved hearing all those great names and teams and times from my childhood long since forgotten.
I watched this whole thing. It's great. My idiot brain injuries don't allow me to do much of anything for long. I'll be asleep again soon and it's worth it. Outstanding show. 😊
Best thing I’ve watched since last NFL season. You guys really got something here. Man I wish we could (picture in picture) the game though while the discussions are going on. Very cool. Great job.
Surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode. I never watched His shows or a fan of the Patriots but I could listen to these stories the guests tell all day.
Come on Jules, Bubba Smith!!! Great career, epic Lite Beer commercials, topped off with a pretty good acting career highlighted by Police Academy... LEGEND!!!
Julian, it is so obvious that you worked hard to present a great podcast. The visuals are wonderful and easy on the eyes. So many podcasts do not spend time on with this. Having a long couch with you and the guest on either side is genius. The field of view and close-ups are well done. Having your guest in a situation where he or she is at ease is Rogan-ish, and will serve you well. PS: I so enjoyed this video with the great Ed O’Neil.
Great episode. Freshman year in college....our scout team was called "F-Troop." We kicked ass over the starters. One of the best scout team names, imo. In a 10 yard dash, no one one could beat me. As a sophomore, i was all league. Quick feet and understanding/anticipation.....wins the day. But had worst coach ever in college. Wrong peeps in wrong positions. You guys touched upon it. I appreciated that. Keep up the good work and tks for letting us all into your world.
Also Little Giants really helped shape my football career lol 😅 still cold one of my best friends to this day icebox cuz she reminds me so much of icebox
Julian is my favorite player of all time. I've never seen anyone with more heart. How many times did he throw himself into a speeding truck and make the play? I never thought someone could replace Welker but he said hold my beer.
I’m sure this is prob mentioned at some point during the episode but a few months ago I wrote down every Super Bowl winner and their opponent year by year, and I realized Bud Grant’s Vikings were the early 90’s Buffalo Bills before the early 90’s Buffalo Bills.
Wow. Those stories were fantastic. It was so sweet when his quiet dad gave him a chance to tap out without shame if he wanted. That would have been a huge sign of affection back then.
Another great episode! Jules definitely give Gracie University BJJ combatives a try. Great program, well designed to prevent injury. If this 59 year old retired Marine can do it, I know you can. I am positive you’ll like it when you try it.
An idea just hit me. Ed O’Neal or some guys of his caliber talking about old-school football from the 60s 70s and 80s. It was awesome hearing him talk about Deacon Jones and Bubba Smith.
Wow, I LOOOOOOVE Ed O’Neil!!!! Al Bundy is my FAVORITE character, and Ed is a BRILLIANT ACTOR!!! But to know Ed O’Neil roots for my Giants!!!!! Man, that takes the cake!!!
What other actors would you want to see on the show?⬇
Glen Powell. He’s writing and starring in the new Hulu series Chad Powers after the Eli Manning skit.
Cole Hauser.
Paul Rudd!
Michael Keaton
Joe Manginello he’s a big Steelers fan and was cool with Franco Harris
Ed’s knowledge of football is crazy. It’s impressive. There won’t be a more authentic good guy on that couch, for a while. Great interview.
I can't believe Ed O'Neil didn't choose to talk about the greatest game of all time to talk about, where Al Bundy threw 4 touchdowns in one game for Polk Highschool.
😂😂😂
Facts
Al was a RB. He ran for four TDs in the 1966 city championship game
If I remember right, he was a Fullback
They couldn't find the clips in TH-cam
Ed O Neil?! Massive W guest and episode. Thank you Jules!
Holy shit. Greatest cut story of all time? What a day Ed had.
Yeah I got cut the day we landed on the moon… wtf lol
Yes! I was gonna say that
Absolutely. A guy walks into a bar..
Ed O'Neill is faaaaar more impressive than I already thought.
I could always tell Ed was an Ol Footballer
Legend!
I didn't think the Ernie Adams episode could be topped, but here we are. Amazing!
My dad watched Married With Children when I was a teen - I’d watch it with him. I thought it was okay.

Facts do you work with shoes though 😂

Yeah, they do hate each other.
Watch his old segments on Rich Eisen's show.
Hey, this man scored 4 touchdowns in one game!
First time I watched Ed on TV was Modern Family, my dad said “that’s Al bundy!” Got my history on that and loved watching his movies/shows since. Great actor and seems like a great guy in general!
“I got a black belt from the old man” coldest line of the pod
IFYKYK
I'll be 58 soon and I grew up watching Ed. So much respect for him.
You guys have some of the most diverse guests.
I am 40 min in and this is my favorite episode so far. Al Bundy for the win. Thanks Jules and Team.
Jules thank you bro!! I love listening to you bro. Having you and ed together was a treat. Polk High!!
I met O'Neil in the Napa Valley, he signed a football for me and put 4 TDS in one game inscription , Great guy
Ed is a national treasure. Immensely entertaining
40:00 is the best sudden Lovitz’s impression ever.
Hey guys, hocking county born and raised, current athens ohio resident. Hearing you and Ed talk about the hocking river and OU is probably the single coolest thing I've heard this year. My home getting recognition 🙌
I’m from hocking county myself cool to hear al bundy talk about the hocking river.
Ed O’Neil great guest! Love the stories.
Thanks for this just amazing stories from Ed O'Neil.
Dutch is so underrated! Ed was so hilarious!!
When the hooker is trying to steal his ring and squirts something into his mouth was so funny!
Dutch is so funny! I saw it at a theatre in the early 90s.
You need to get Randy Moss on the show
Needs to have Randy and Jason Williams on together. Would be amazing
Eddlenut
Edlenut couldn't handle it
EDEL🥜 GO GET MY GATORADE
Can't wait ❤
This was so fun to watch. Ed O'Neill is amazing. Great episode.
This was the best podcast I've seen in a long time
I believe Ed was refering to Rollie Fingers when he was talking about the A's pitcher, great show as always!
Cheers from Brazil
Oh this is gonna be a great episode. Ed is so dang cool.

Ed O'Neil is the best. What a guest 👏!!
My favorite interview. So much more they could have talked about. Need a part 2
Straight from Instagram, soooo f*cking excited!!
Best thing I’ve watched since last NFL season.
You guys really got something here.
Man I wish we could (picture in picture) the game though while the discussions are going on.
Very cool. Great job.
Great episode. Jeez Ed is a talker. So many great stories. 👏
Surprised by how much I enjoyed this episode. I never watched His shows or a fan of the Patriots but I could listen to these stories the guests tell all day.

Ed O’Neill is a great storyteller.

39:52 Ed O Neils John Lovitz impression is uncanny... Holy crap
He’s fantastic as Donald Sterling in Clipped.
Ed absolutely CRUSHED Donald Sterling in Clipped. He was the best part of the series for sure
Greatest episode yet fellas, well done ❤
This was a great episode.I never knew ed played football. I'd like to see
Another hour or two of him On the couch.
Ed O'Neil is a legend loved this episode
Great conversation. Ed’s knowledge of football and game history is matched up nicely with his knowledge of bars and mobsters.
Huge Al Bundy fan here so thanks Jules for having Ed as your guest! Al Bundy for HoF!!!
Wow his Jon Lovitz was on point! Never thought of Ed O Neill as a guy that could impersonate such a distinct voice from his own
Gotta love 'Al Bundy' just chillin' and talking football.
Ed O'Neil is awesome, down to earth, solid dude.
I checked out that "violent world of Sam Huff" documentary and it was pretty cool
Ed reminds me of my Dad, probably why I like him so much. Great dude.
I am screaming at my phone “ speak into the mic!”, Ed!
that Chris farley story is absolute gold.
Ed has become a national treasure.

The ninja turtle arcade game is AWESOME. That game sucked up hundreds of my quarters
Just the look of that cabinet gives me so much nostalgia.
This a treat Julian. Thank you! ❤😂
Ed O'Neill was awesome, I never knew he was into Jiu jitsu.
Also Little Giants really helped shape my football career lol 😅 still cold one of my best friends to this day icebox cuz she reminds me so much of icebox
Ice box is gorgeous now.
Jules rocking the Pre-season's.... i like it. 👍
Great interview!
He's such a cool guy! Loved him in Marries with Children as a teenager, and absolutely loved him as Jay in Modern Family!
Great conversation!
Them talking about Terry Bradshaw being a dog was hilarious
This was an amazing episode.
I just ordered my Polk High #33 Bundy Jersey. I mean, he scored four touchdowns in one game.
He’s played some all-time characters
Ed O'Neil and Jewels in a wife beater.... 😂 Football heritage at its finest. 4 touchdowns ☝️game ❤
Jules?
@@SenorEmborracho he is Jules the Jewel.
Julian is my favorite player of all time. I've never seen anyone with more heart. How many times did he throw himself into a speeding truck and make the play? I never thought someone could replace Welker but he said hold my beer.
Been a fan of Ed O’Neill since childhood. Today, if someone scores 4 touchdowns in a single game, I refer to it as “pulling an Al Bundy.”
Ed is awesome!
I’m sure this is prob mentioned at some point during the episode but a few months ago I wrote down every Super Bowl winner and their opponent year by year, and I realized Bud Grant’s Vikings were the early 90’s Buffalo Bills before the early 90’s Buffalo Bills.
I love Ed! He is my TV dad. For real, I didn't have a dad. I love AL BUNDY!
@@softjones3128 Obviously, it was immaculate, just like Franco Harris' reception. 😜
Great episode.
Wow. Those stories were fantastic. It was so sweet when his quiet dad gave him a chance to tap out without shame if he wanted. That would have been a huge sign of affection back then.
I could listen to Ed O'Neil talk Football ALL EFFING DAY
Amazing episode
Legendary dude!!! Love you ed and ed😂😂
great interview
Frantic Fran Tarketon. I wonder how many yards he accumulated running for his life ? I loved the Steel Curtain Defense.
He probably ran farther backward as he did forward in those games
what a football life. proves you don't need to be at the highest level to live one. Cheers to you Ed O'Neill. Best game in the world.
Best one yet!!
They Cohen brothers based Walter Sobchak from the Big Lebowski on John Milius. Check out the documentary called Milius and he is the spitting image.
Coen*
Bubba is the special teams coach for the Browns now Jules
I saw a short if this. Git me wanting ti watch the full thing, but not today.
The Drive with John Elway would be Awesome
Love Ed. Super cool guy. Great show guys.
Another great episode! Jules definitely give Gracie University BJJ combatives a try. Great program, well designed to prevent injury. If this 59 year old retired Marine can do it, I know you can. I am positive you’ll like it when you try it.

How does Julian not know who Bubba Smith is???? Does he not even know him from the Police Academy movie(s)?
This is brilliant.
Giving some love for the football movie “little giants” ed was unreal in it.
Wow, I LOOOOOOVE Ed O’Neil!!!! Al Bundy is my FAVORITE character, and Ed is a BRILLIANT ACTOR!!! But to know Ed O’Neil roots for my Giants!!!!! Man, that takes the cake!!!
AWESOME show with a LEGEND !! Loved it !! UP coming wish list ---- Jellyroll , Pete Rose , or Keanu Reeves .
How did you not lead with Bubba Smith being in Police Academy.
Ed been a black belt in bjj for decades. Look how massive those wrists are. If he got a hold of ya then u bout to get twisted up like a pretzel
I think he fought in the golden gloves too
Needed this
First introduced to him in Little Giants. What a Legend
Great show
Edelman on that Freddy Mercury Vibe
His memory is so sharp at 70

He got out of football just in time.
