- (HONEST INFO, NO BOUGHT SUBS, NO SUBS4SUBS). DORMANT MELANOCYTES CAN BE A KEY FACTOR IN WHY YOUR HAIR IS GREY DUE TO HIGH LEVELS OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE THAT CATALASE CAN'T COPE WITH. In this video we look at the issues with persistent grey hair, grey hair that won't budge with "normal" supplements like NAC, L-Methionine, Ubiquinone or Ubiquinol etc. Can you actually do something for grey hairs that won't budge and is there medicaments in the pipeline, well that we look at in this video on persistent grey hairs, grey hairs that simply won't budge.

Let me ask you, what will be the today’s advice if trying to invert the greying hair (which products, in what quantity and when to take it)?
As far as I unterstand you’re suggesting:
1) DL/L-Methionine 3 scoops/daily (1 scoop = 5 ml = 2 mg), means 1 @ morning, 1 @ afternoon, 1 @ evening).
2) NAC 600 mg (still the same dose)?
3) Glycine 1000 mg (yes or no)?
4) Ubiquinone (-none!) 200-300mg/d
5) L-MethylFolate 1000 mcg?
6) Taurine Amino Acid?
7) French Grape Seed Extract 100 mg (9 capsules)?
8) vitamin B5
9) vitamin B6
10) vitamin B10 (paba)
11) vitamin B12
12) vitamin C
13) vitamin E
14) Anything else?
***In my case I don’t have any vitamins and minerals deficiency, including copper, iron, zinc, vitamin E, vitamins B (B-complex) and so on …
Thank you in advance!
H e y its my guy Jesper!!!! You look fabulous!!!
NMN seems to help too. Lots of videos about it on here.
Me grandmother is indigenous Colombian had a some grey hair areas before cancer treatment. After treatment her hair came back black and straight like when she was a child and my family thought it was some sort of miracle. Lol
Does anyone have any idea why that happened? Maybe the cancer was causing the gray?

I learn a lot from your supplement videos! Keep it up!
Hi Jesper, what exactly did you take to reverse yours? And what did your husband take? Just NAC & Ubiquinol? I’m confused which combo to take to get results.
1. NAC, Ubiquinol and l-methionine
2. Only NAC & Ubiquinol
3. NAC, taurine, folate
I want to limit to 2-4 max supplements if possible.
Also for oxidative stress which I believe gave me the early greying do you recommend the Oligomeric or Quercetin? Thanks
Agree. Same questions please.
Me too I’m confused
Pick a combo and try it! Tyrosine is another he's mentioned.
Very interesting and well-documented:))
@jesper, I am using NAc, folate and taurin for more than 2 months and I cannot see much reductions in my white hair growing. I am 36 and since 1-2 years I start getting so much white hair,
Head n beard is nearly 50% white and even the medication is not helping with oxidation.
Any ideas
I just left the supplement store and forgot the Nac 🤦🏾♀️
Hi Nikki lane_roblox, thanks for commenting. If you are in the US it might not be in the shops due to the FDA but it should be possible to buy on Amazon.co.uk

What is best for reducing inflammation in body? What specific supplement ?
Hi Abcd, thanks for your question. As I mention in the video is Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins anti-inflammatory and I would make sure I did that if wanting to do something about inflammation in the body, I explain in the video what I do.

What is the impact of iron ferritin and vitamin deficiency??
Hi Melina Koufalis, thanks for your question. In general does lack of vitamins and minerals impact our health and most likely also our hair (hair and nails are not "important" to the body so it will prioritise other parts when nutrients are scares). If you suspect an iron deficiency (not eating meat, tiredness, heavy bleedings, and that sort of thing) then have it checked with a medical doctor (GP) as supplementing, perhaps causing too much iron, can be problematic too, so best to get it right. Liver is rather an all-round source of nutrients, inclusive of Iron, and it is cheap too, but some might not like it or won't eat it for other reasons.

Hey Jesper. New update. Still no change despite my taking Grape seed extract. I got the feeling there"s no way I can restore my natural color. Dunno what to do next. What would you suggest ? Do you think I should add pycnogenol knowing that grape seed extract does not work ?
Thanks.

Hi again MattDavies, well, it is difficult to exactly say what goes on, but I remember it as that you are young in a sense that the grey hairs are a little early, so maybe if you can have a standard panel done at your GP, like just to check for any irregularities of maybe certain low vitamins or minerals, doing lots of antioxidants might be a little wasteful if one perhaps is low in something that was easier to fix. After my latest video on grey hair, I have taken 3 capsules of Luteolin and my husband too and though there are other benefits but for hair it is still too early to say something definitively about the impact on grey hair, however, I have regularly sprayed his scalp with a water solution of Luteolin as in the article about the mice but still too early to say much about it. However, if you try that, be patient and use gloves, as it will colour your cuticles yellow (it's a yellow pigment) and it can give a yellow hue to the hair, but it seems possible to wash off but not from the nail area. The spray bottle makes it a lot easier to spray the scalp and not just the hair. I use one capsule with the content dissolved in 100 ml water in a spray bottle, don't keep it for more than a few days if not using preservatives, anything blurry in the solution and you throw it away.
I have, as said in the latest grey hair video taken 9 capsules of the grape seed extract that I spoke of (vitaflavan, French grape seed extract from California Gold Nutrition), and it seems I have gotten more growing hair and I'll talk about that later, but as such it seems to have a positive impact on hair, so I would not ditch it just yet.

@@JesperOffersenBSc Hey Jesper. Thanks for your detailed response. I think I must have deficiencies in vitamins and minerals as I do work out a lot and sweat like crazy. My eyelid often twitches, which seems to indicate magnesium deficiency.
Once again, thanks for your time and your wonderful videos.

Hi Jesper, what are your thoughts on SOD supplementation for hair greying prevention?
Hi Elliot, thanks for your question. SOD is an Enzyme, meaning it consists of a multitude of Amino Acids in long chains folded up in various ways, essentially a bundle of proteins. Proteins are broken down in the digestive tract into Amino Acids, typically do we take up single Amino Acids and up to maybe tripeptides (3 Amino Acids connected), so SOD will have completely lost its function when reaching the point of entering the blood stream. An example of the use of Liposomal SOD you can read about in the article below. It involves the substance being injected into the body cavity (where the bowels and all that is contained).

@@JesperOffersenBSc Thank you for that. I’m currently using L-Methyfolate 1700mcg DFE, NAC 1200mg and Taurine daily as my hair greying prevention stack, is there anything else I can do as I feel I’m losing the battle a little?

Update?
Hi, I have same issue like others that’s why I ended up here lol, thanks for the lovely info 🙏 I’m guna use L-Methylfolate 1000mcg- and (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) 600 mg with taurine amino acid daily is that ok ? and I don’t take any medication, I just take vitamin d with other supplements from Holland & barrats ,, thanks
Hi The relaxing Hub, thanks for your comments and question. That I would say is a good start, I also think Ubiquinone and L-Methionine are worth doing, to start somewhere, without it being overwhelming. For some NAC is enough, don't do L-Methionine without NAC. Try and have a look at the other hair videos too, it gives a good overview of what is going on. (As I don't know which other supplements you talk of I can't comment on them).

@@JesperOffersenBSc thanks for that 🙏, I’m just trying to prevent grey hairs I have a few and during the pandemic I drank too much alcohol lol I enjoyed too much so that could be a reason too, and if I take the above supplements how long do you think it will be before I see the results? I’m know it will work different on every individual but just just generally speaking . Thanks
Hi again The relaxing Hub, if the Melanocytes are responsive it should not take long but the hair needs to grow as it's only for new growth.

@@JesperOffersenBSc 🙏 I will update in 3 months thanks :)
I started taking catalase organic supplements
Hi mm 12, thanks for your info. Catalase is an enzyme, enzymes consists of long chains of amino acids folded up in various ways. Long chains of amino acids are broken down in the digestive tract into small fragments (oligopeptides), we take up single amino acids and dipeptides (2 amino acids combined), maybe tripeptides but they are dismantled in the liver. In short, Catalase is great when produced inside the body but it is very unlikely it will survive intact through the digestive system and even more unlikely that it would end up in the blood stream.

Hi Jesper, I've made a purchase of the following to hopefully combat my premature greying.
L-Methionine, NAC, Taurine, L-Lysine - (POWDER)
MTFHR Folate, B Complex - (CAPSUAL)
Can you please advise the best dosage and time for the above?
NB: I've been using Natural medicine for other reasons for years so my threshold is quite high.
Thank you in advance.
Did those supplements work?
What about finasteride?
Hi Mr Nordic Nicklas, thanks for your question. Finasteride is for thinning hair that is caused by DHT, male pattern baldness, you can read an article about it here www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK513329/

Hey jesper, can u clarify this? Why do online health experts ask to avoid PILLS given by doctors calling them synthetic hence non natural so harmful,
But, when it comes to SUPPLEMENTS(NAC, vit d3, alcar, choline ,methionine and hundreds of others) which are also pills , they recommend it; arent these too synthetics and supposed to be harmful like the former?
Hi j d, thanks for your question. Well, there are people who seems to think that everything natural is great, when in fact there are lots of poison in nature, mainly to ward off pests, however, some of those poisons has been adjusted and tested again and again as to make medication that you are given by your medical doctor when necessary, some stuff can then be made synthetically, similar to the natural counterpart but it's cheaper that way and one has more control over it. NAC is synthetic and originally made as a medication, hence the FDA in the US has stopped it (after it being available for decades) from being sold as a supplement (not that it's suddenly deemed dangerous but rather simply because it first was approved as medication, hence certain rules apply and the FDA feels suddenly that they want to enforce them). Some might not know NAC is a synthetic medication given by doctors at times, hence push it as natural perhaps, when it's not. Not everything synthetic is good nor bad, likewise for natural stuff. I think the issue is that a lot of synthetic stuff is made to make products cheaper than the real thing, like, particularly in the food industry, to make things taste as something it is not but profit from it is great, though it is not that great for one's body. Medication often has side effects or risks that one tolerates because the alternative is worse but one has to also be careful with herbal extracts and supplements as they are not regulated like one's doctor's medication. Some synthetic made stuff is as the natural one's but some are not and can chemically be mirror images for example and therefore not the same and will not be accepted in the body in the same way as the natural more expensively extracted stuff for example, it depends on what one is talking about.
Natural can be bad and it can be good, likewise can synthetic be bad and good, it depends.

Does this work if you have a lot of grays? I have a lot now. I'm 34.
Hi a lleiN, thanks for your question. Have a look at all the videos in the hair care play list, they explain all I know at present about the situation. In short if your melanocytes are dormant or oxidation is too strong, but the melanocytes are able to produce pigment, then it should work as it did for me. However, if one's melanocytes are beyond repair it won't. As I discover more, I will make more videos on the matter.
