- Due to being stuck at home with the whole COVID-19, I've gotten enough free time to sit and watch many Netflix shows. This one being among them...
A friend recommended me to watch this and when I say I laughed and cried through it all.. oh my god, this whole drama was one hell of a masterpiece. EVERYTHING.. I mean the acting, the music, the emotions.. the whole story portrayed.. was all amazingly done! It's one of those drama's that you're going to be left with so much nostalgia once finish. It's a drama that's pretty much going to stick with me forever.
The character Wei Wuxian - you're going to fall in love with him. What he went through was quite a heavy journey. I tried to fit as much as I could on here but really there's so much more to it. Those who haven't watched it won't probably understand but to those who have I hope you enjoy this tribute and cry with me about it. ╥﹏╥

No, he had no idea of knowing what 'everything' meant at that time. It cost him his honor, his cultivation, his relationships, and even his life. But what truly made his character remarkable was that despite having been unjustly forfeited of it all, in the end, he bound no one to himself nor did he let his past take away his freedom to live and to be happy. This fmv is amazing. I'm dead on the inside.
I can’t think of a better representation than Wei Ying for “wearing your heart on your sleeve”. ❤️

All the boy wanted to do was to live a good life with those he loved while also bringing justice to those who deserved it. It’s so sad that in the end of trying to do what he thought and knew was right he was brought down so hard and mistreated like that which also caused so many tragedies for those he loved.

butting in 😳 (sorry of my eng) but this is what happens when you have two stubborn siblings who love each other tremendously. would do anything to protect and not have the other live with any guilt of the remainder of their life for what they done. Knowing their characters I don’t think it would been avoided but we could imagine ...
@@MONDFILMS even if wwx had told jc or even lwj it would not change the fact that wwx learned demonic cultivation because if you remember immediately wwx gave jc his golden core he was captured by wen chao and was thrown into the cursed Yiling Burial Mounds making him learn demonic cultivation to survive... it would not change the fact that people would fear him because he had the stygian tiger amulet.
@@taye1893 after having rewatched this drama and gone through so many of the scenes so many times after my first watch... I completely agree with you.
and another thing that gets me feeling sad is that the thought of wwx not giving away his golden core to jc never once crossed his mind because he cares so much for him, and even if jc wasn’t around that day to lure away the wen sect from capturing wwx, he would have still gotten his golden core ripped off by wen zhuliu and either thrown off somewhere too. The path for him of learning demonic cultivation was destined to him.

I don’t even know you but I’m crying. This was put together so well. A masterpiece !!
wwx is my favorite character, he was so selfless and stuck to his morals all the way to the end, even when it costed him SO much. his incredibly self-sacrificial nature, especially with giving his golden core to jiang cheng, made me feel so much love and pain for him. the internal torment he dealt with when things led to the way they did....it wasn't his fault, but he feared that it was. by sacrificing himself to do the right thing, everyone turned against him, and in the end even his sister, the only one who believed in him to the very end, died. he had absolutely no will to live after this. after his revival, lan wangji continued to stick by him. before he felt like a demonic cultivator like him could never walk the same path as the esteemed lan disciple, but lan wangji constantly proved his unwavering loyalty. it touched him, and he realized it was always lan wangji who was there for him. trusting him now, he allowed himself to open his heart and fall in love. i also admire how he is able to smile and forget the bad things. he tries not to hold onto the past. i'm glad he and lan wangji got their happy ending, but it still kinda sucks that he no longer has a golden core and i hope one day he and jiang cheng can reconcile.

I believe he got a new golden core when he got Mo Xuanyu's body, though it's much weaker and less developed than his original one. Recall that he tells Lan Zhan at one point that his spiritual power is weak in that body, and thus he needs to be protected.

Only found this drama this year (via Heaven Official’s Blessing) - now I am addicted - the characters, the storyline, the acting - incredible. The book is slightly different but I can firmly say The Untamed is a drama I find myself watching over and over again. I actually forget they are speaking a language I don’t speak - I am so absorbed in the story.
I've been on a cql run today watching many FMV's and coming now to yours.. it has to be one that has stood out to me. It's different. This is incredibly well pieced together. In just 7 minutes and 52 seconds you've managed to put this characters whole story. And what makes this even more incredible is the clips and voice overs you picked out, and the music you chose that just makes everything pop out even more beautifully. Such a nice job doing this, I'm in love with it and will definitely be rewatching this on the days that I miss this drama and want to be reminded on how tragic yet beautiful Wei Wuxian's story is. Thank you.

Such a beautiful edit. The Untamed is my favourite high fantasy show of all time and Wei Wuxian has to be one of the best characters ever. I am here bawling my eyes out after watching this. Okay but in all seriousness this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen made about this show. It's editing was perfect it's song selection was perfect, the scenes were perfect. I honestly can't get over this. If you don't already, you need to get a job making film trailers. I'm not even joking that was amazing. I can't get over that. It's 2022 and decided to feel pain again. Idk but WangXian really pierced my heart to bits. The novel itself is already open-ended with so much words left unsaid, and The Untamed perfectly showed every emotion that will leave me empty forever.
