- 👋 After installing the AWE SwitchPath exhaust on our 2024 Audi RS3, and then adding midpipes, let's take a good listen to how awesome the RS3 sounds! This has got to be the best exhaust setup for the Audi RS3! You get that unique V10 soundtrack all with no drone and no check engine lights! I love the AWE Switchpath since it gives us the valve control on the muffler. In Comfort mode the RS3 honestly still sounds nearly stock while slowly driving. When you floor it and get above 4k RPM, the car wakes up a lot in sound. However when in Dynamic mode or RS Performance mode, the RS3 is nearly straight pipes! Sounds so good ripping through the gears. That unique firing order of the inline 5 cylinder engine comes alive and you hear that V10 soundtrack this engine is famous for. Since the mid pipe has no sensors, there is no check engine light thrown by removing the secondary catalytic converters. So this is a great setup to have no issues with your RS3. I love the new sound with the RS3 and it's the perfect blend to have the car tame sounding wile driving around town in slow speeds, no highway drone, but then all the good sounds when you want it!

That's just the stock tuning and how it sounds with the exhaust setup. I'd assume these would all fit. But I'm not too sure. AWE doesn't ship outside USA and Canada. But I'm sure the midpipes you can find anywhere and they should fit both versions

Technically no. A dealer would have to prove the mod caused the issue you bring it in for
How do you think a straight mid pipe setup with stock exhaust behind it would sound? Also would this setup pass emissions? Live in Cali so that’s important 😅
Should sound pretty nice overall! I'm not sure with California. Everything seems illegal there lol. Depends if your inspection person looks under the car or puts anything in the tail pipe to read the exhaust fumes
I have the stock exhaust with a mid pipe kit on my 2023. It does sound a little bit louder, deeper tone, and you can hear the dsg pops when hitting it harder, but it's not super loud. Don't expect it to sound like you have much of a modified exhaust system. With regular cruising, it still sounds stock.
Obviously it's going to sound a lot better on the outside, but in the interior, the RS3 already sounds perfect, even if it's amplified sounds from the speakers or just some fake sounds added in lol!! I'm only concerned about how it affects me from a driving standpoint, and guy's that owned the 8V says the new RS3 sounds better inside the car, which i find very impressive!!
Yeah it sounds really good from the interior too. But fro the outside it sounds insane now with the midpipes!
@BrosFOURRSpeed Those midpipes help out on what you hear inside the car much, or was it mainly the actual exhaust system?
Both. The AWE made the car sound very good. Then the midpipes just added a bit more volume when the valves are open. So this combo is the perfect setup

U think I can get an equal trade for 8y rs3 for Supra?
probably not. 8Ys are stupidly still selling over MSRP keeping value a bit high. Supras about a $53-55k car new, the 8Y is a $65-70k car new. Maybe if you find one with 25-30k miles on it
Depends on mileage. But our RS3, we paid $65k. Used market we could sell it for about what we paid. My manual Supra would probably sell for about $63k on the used market. An auto Supra can be bought anywhere from $45k+. So would depend
Depends on the dealer. We got ours for sticker. But it was an 18 month wait. Used market these go for about MSRP or $5k more. Manual Supra on the used market would be about this price
Is it stock blow of valve?
Yes. The intake I have makes the blow off sound much louder.
That’s nice even with stock air intake still making blow noises 🤔 but my car doesn’t 🤷🏻♂️ I thought you add diverter valve spacer
@@alqatary07 The stock intake you can hear it a bit. I added a valve adapter to connect the hose to the new intakes since the current intakes don’t have the same pipe as previous generation. But a new intake will add all the sound. Or you can get the diverter valve spacer

Sounds good, but please be aware that the clamps that AWE provides are junk. People all over forums have had problems with AWE products leaking at the band clamps. Spend 300-400 dollars more and get a GRAIL exhaust imported from Germany. The GRAIL sounds better than this!
Mine in fact does leak at the band clamps lol. They can be upgraded easily though.

I currently have awe touring exhaust on my fk8 and I have a whistle noise at 6-7k rpms idk if those clamps are related
Thanks for the video. So you removed the two OPF(cats) and didn't need a remap? No engine lights? I was told there are sensors there and if you remove them they will be detected and a remap is needed. Is this not the case
honestly, until we can get a downpipe, this car is far too quiet. The stock downpipes is choking the life out of the car. Waiting to pull the trigger on my 485 exhaust (3.5" to 3" exhaust) until we get full open capabilities. Sounds nice of course, just not rowdy enough.
Yeah I would like a high flow catted DP like I did on my Supra. We'll see if a good one comes out. But the midpipes really woke it up!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yeah...I will say your video tempts me to pull the trigger, even if its not 100% what I want at the moment...maybe Ill be happy with the volume *shrug*. Like I said though, it does sound good man!
We have no complaints with this setup. The AWE Track exhaust is a bit louder over this one too you could always do
