Really love your DP video...long overdue to have informative videos on the finest of all sequencers. Please do more! I use your CMD/ arrow up & down command quite frequently, though these useful shortcuts were not even the intention of your presentation. Great information, much appreciated!
Chris Bandy It sounds like it is a problem with the recording, not with the pitch editor. There are some editing tricks to get rid of it. Spot it in the soundbite using the Zoom tool and delete it, usually pops are very easy to find when zooming, then do a half cycle crossfade and it’s gone
Could you please do a video on burning cds using only DP 8? It used to work for me in the past on DP 6 as outlined in the SOS article, but it doesn't seem to work anymore. It seems many are having trouble with this, and in my experience that means something simple is being missed (like some setting not being at right). what do you think. A step by step for us less versed DP fans?
I know the value of a digital Merge function but in this tutorial, I don't understand the operation performed on the Soundbites presented at the end of this function Merge Tutorial !
hi is there a way to "save as" and save the pitch settings? every time i do that, i lose all my changes??? thanks its intruding on my christmas present!
Can someone help me with a question.. Adjusting pitch note-for-note Need to actually change a note in the vocal or other recorded instrument track? Just grab the pitch segment for the note and drag it up or down to the desired pitch. Command-drag to make micro-tonal adjustments. Digital Performer adjusts the pitch curve accordingly, ensuring a smooth transition between the note you drag and surrounding notes. For some reason on my laptop I can not perform this function.. when I press the command button and drag the vocal it only moves by half-step.. not mircro-tonally.. might you know how I can fix that or where I can get the answer? I think something has to be setup or selected but I do not know where in the software to make the adjustment?
How does Melodyne compare? I'm sure each have their strengths so I'm not asking which is better; I'm just curious to know what one has that the other doesn't. I've seen people buy Melodyne to use within digital performer, so I'm assuming there is something that it does that DP doesn't.
Ro Halfhide Thanks Ro! You're absolutely right. The guys on Motunation said the same thing. I actually bought DP and Melodyne Editor and I can confirm that Melodyne definitely has the upper-hand on the polyphonic manipulation.

you can use your open dialog preview option, but unfortunately that wont work with asio sound drivers (in windows)

Here's a tricky question..... if I record in 432hz instead of 440hz..... how do I tell the PITCH control??

Melodie does multi phonic pitch shifting. DP pitch shifting only works with single notes, not with harmonies.
