    I know like most people I struggle with consistency… you guys give me the grace to just do a little. I went to the gyms today and did 2 exercises. I would have stayed I felt better but time was the issue today. At least I made it there!

    I have autoimmune issues that affects my gut/digestion. I start most mornings in pain/discomfort. I have to remind myself that getting in the gym and doing just 1-2 sets will get my nervous system activated and relieve my symptoms. It’s hard to want to exercise when I’m feeling bad but it ALWAYS makes me feel better.

    • @SmilesBot
      @SmilesBot หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kudos to you! I don’t think people realize what a hill it is to climb just getting into the gym each day with an auto immune disease. During flare ups I give myself the grace to drop the weight significantly, or even just the bar for heavy exercises. Getting movement in is such a win and helps me feel capable when otherwise it’s easy to feel defeated.

    Starting off the episode with Metal concerts / Mosh pit stories - now we talking my language 🤘😎
    .
    I have to say, the evolution of slam pits have evolved a lot in the past 30 years.
    There's several versions out there now.
    Traditional circle pits, the lame HxC pit ninjas, wall of death stuff, etc.

    Female late 50s -- all about the moshpit! Grew up in the 80s SF Bay Area hardcore punk straightedge kid and spent time in the grunge scene moshpits in the PNW in the early 90s. It's awesome. I haven't gone in a long time but it really was a great feeling. I'm a total pacifist outside of it but I think being in that scene keeps some of us in balance and able to be peaceful otherwise.

    I really needed to hear this today. I’ve been very run down and not sleeping well lately, and I know it’s not smart to hit a heavy, hard workout as much as I want to push through. I pushed through two weeks ago and injured my back. Lesson learned, I’m focusing on walking. mobility, less volume, and lighter weight for my compound lifts until I’m sleeping and recovering better.

    I can relate to the teacher that called in (pretty sure most of us can). I am lucky to have two sons in boy scouts, so I exercise to be able to keep up with them and go along on the fun trips they do (backpacking, canoeing, climbing, etc.). Not sure how I will trick myself to be motivated when they age out, but I'll figure something out. :)

    I'm trying to decide what to do next. My son and I finished Anabolic, and we are almost done with Performance. I know aesthetic is next in the RGB series, but we don't care about aesthetics as much right now. Our current goals are purely strength and performance-based right now. I'm thinking of maybe Powerlift or Strong, or maybe anabolic advanced.

    Its not the tobacco that is at fault it is the chemicals "they" add to the tobacco that is the cause. Nicotine is very healing in its organic natural form. Our bodies have nicotine receptors all over our bodies. Soaking your feet even in organic natural tobacco has helped with ridding the long C##id from people that were very sick indeed. I cant remember the name of the chemical (one of many) - it is the one that keeps you wanting more more more of their cigs.
