Hello, the pulsating can be fixed by going into forward programming and change the esc low voltage cutoff to disabled. This is a fail safe built into the ESC which is not intended/shouldn't be used on edf's. Hope this helps.
Will pray for a successful cataract surgery! Had mine 4 years ago-wow! Best vision I've ever had. No real drama-just a lot of pre-and post-operative care. I'm a hunter, so I asked my doctor if Bausch & Lomb could put cross-hairs on my right lens; he declined! Oh well........

Several reviewers and I received this F-16 with the ESC installed upside down. Take the vertical fin off and see if the cooling fins are facing up. If it is, take the clear plastic cover off inside the thrust tube, turn the ESC over, and glue the cover back down. Some say they rotated it 90 degrees so that both sides see airflow. I’m in Texas and mine has been ok after rotating it 180 degrees.

Thanks! Currently, I'm resting my eyes for 2 weeks so the doc can get good measurements. So i basically can't see much. 😕

I am surprised you even attempted to fly the F-16. 🤔 Fast high performance plane and reduced vision sounds like a formula for video titled “How to Re-Kit a Fighting Falcon!” You are braver than I am. I have had plenty of “those” experiences and as such have become quite the fair weather flyer so to speak. You gonna take a break from flying videos and make some bench top style videos or just wait till after the surgery to make more content? If editing does NOT stress your eyes you could make a series of shorts like “Top 10 Crashes in 10 seconds.” A ten second short showing a different impact every second. Not typically my style of video but people seem to like watching the preverbal “train wrecks.” If you are going to wait to produce content until you visual situation improves, which I totally understand, I would imagine that you might consider making very quick “update” videos periodically informing your followers to the situation so that they do not think you have stopped making content. Take care and I will be rooting for ya! Wish you the best!

@@IJustGotHere I hear ya. There is a lot to process. Glad to hear you have some recorded flights. Main thing, which you are obviously aware of, is to take care of yourself. If it gets down to it we can all wait till you are back in the saddle. If the editing stresses your eyes and you need some assistance I could attempt to edit a few videos for ya. I have some very limited experience with it but believe I could put something together. Let me know if I can help.
@Know Your Joe the biggest problem is they have me wearing glasses tuned for reading only. I can't even drive right now. Hopefully, I can still edit videos. 👍
Nice one again Gazza! Be careful the lens selection with the Cataracts, I went for the multifocal and they are no good in the rain and night driving with the glare from oncoming lights. I would go for the long distance lens and use reading glass for close up
Yeah, I was already thinking that. The stigmatism I have is likely the same as what you are talking about.
Good luck with your surgery. I just had cataract surgery at the end of September. I thought I'd not be flying for a while but was out at the field within a week. So much clearer vision now. The other eye is slated for December.
As for the Viper, i have the eflite 80mm F-16 T-bird and the Freewing 70mm Arctic cammo. Both fly awesome and no need for flaps. You can slow them down plenty for landing. Just raise the nose and use power to control the descent. Try up high first doing high alpha, that 80mm has plenty of power.
As for your pulsing, did you check the pack cells? You might have a low cell going bad.

That's right!! You were going to have surgery. Did you go yet? I have the same plane but I setup thrust reverse, so you don't have that long rollout at the end of the runway. I only fly it with ordinance when at a show. I hate the tipping, so I just fly with the rails. I hate that the missiles can drag on the asphalt. Asphalt is like a very course cheese grater!!! No Bueno!! LOL
I get one next week and then again right before Christmas. 👍
Great Flying! But I'll have to disagree with the title and thumbnail, Any flight with a safe take-off and landing is a BIG SUCCESS! 😃👏

Thanks! I'm glad to have safely landed but it was for sure not running properly. I haven't retried it yet. After I can see again, this will be one of my first return flights. 👍
I figured out why it pulses. The battery voltage sags under load below 3.4v, which triggers the low voltage cut off. As this happens, voltage recovers and you get this engine pulsing. If you disable LVC, it stops.
nice looking flight...If you search around youtube, some pilots have had to *lower the motor timing* useing the radio, ESC programming; *high timing causing the pulse*...just a thought...have a good one

Some people, myself included, received this plane with the ESC installed upside down and it wasn't getting sufficient airflow..
Come on GG, you know the best way to deal with a bad noise is ignoring it!

The 90 VIPER did the same to me on the bench ? Tried different lipos and same deal … pulsing at full throttle! Never found the issue / never put it up due to that ?
I should have a follow-up next month. Unfortunately, I can't see right now to fly.
