Ulali is so good. My mom appropriated the hell out of indigenous culture while she was alive but via the conduit of appropriation i have learned a real value of cultural appreciation . Love ya ma. Wherever you are.
My father couldn't really be there so we left and my stepdad was stressed and aggressive. They both had hurt inner children. I am working on forgiving them now.

This is an orchestrated song for the soundtrack of the movie, "Smoke Signals". It is a long song. I want to get to the 'bare bones' of the music...forget the pretty stuff. To each his own - perhaps the 'pretty stuff' is what appeals to most. This is "Forgive Our Fathers Suite" with a slideshow of Native American modern imagery, artwork, & cave paintings. Enjoy!
Thank you Moppet, for introducing me, as you are so talented in this art of of opening eyes, ears and hearts, to a new realm of music. I thank you kindly.
Bill Sampson You are more than welcome! I do have a Native American Playlist on my Channel pages which has a wide spread of this genre from quite flutes to a few songs that sound like it is a scouting war party. I'm trying to figure out how to put annotations on videos & haven't had much luck. I've spent over 7 hours this week trying to do something that simple. I'm sort of a techno dinosaur. Thank you for all the kind things you say. I was lucky & grew up in a household that tuned into college stations & also "underground' fm stations when am was still the norm. My dad brought home old blues from the library when we moved to Ohio when I was in second grade. He "made" me listen & told me stories of old men who had lost fingers or eyes & were working as janitors, but were really musicians. I grew to love the music quickly. and the diversity of music. So I was sort of spoonfed on different music when many were still listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, & Doris Day on the radio. NO negative meant by that...but that is what was on the radio when my dad was letting me hear incredible stuff that didn't get played til the late 70's sometimes. Thank you for so much. It's been a rough week & your comment came on a very good day. My best to you always, Barbara
Bill Sampson Hi. I wrote a novel just now. I went directly to a video that I love. It is by Ulali, but in a bit of a different vein. I took almost all the photos in the video. It is from my aunt's farm...that would have been confiscated if they had found her grandmother was 100% (or as close as you could be) Cherokee. As kids, we couldn't tell anyone she had been an "Indian" as we said in the 50's. I found out before my mother passed away, that it wasn't due to prejudice but there were still laws on the books to confiscate land...my great-great grandma hid in the hills from rounding up of The Trail of Tears. She moved to a different area & passed as white to not be deported. That's how my long ago family ended up in the mountains of West Virginia...hiding from The Trail of Tears. I hope you enjoy the video if you watch it. The waterfall is not my photo & there are perhaps 2 other shots that aren't mine. I love the mountains. My best, Barbara th-cam.com/video/qlQsNWtlgtg/w-d-xo.html
The future belongs to beautiful sincerely loving kindhearted beings like the little boy who just felt safe enough in my presence to fall asleep amidst the insanity created around us by lunatics who surveil us ONLY to destroy us. They're no longer welcome on earth or any where in the cosmos. They've chosen complete destruction. We, the sincerely loving kindhearted beings, especially the CHILDREN, won't be going with them.
If they are on the heart path now going towards sincere Love, healing and evolution, they are forgiven. If they are refusing to learn from their cruelty, abuse and the countless murders of sincerely loving kindhearted beings, they will never be forgiven. They will become extinct like all that have no sincere Love in their intentions and actions......as Divinely intended.
It's important to be able to forgive our fathers. Men make a lot of mistakes. We have to forgive in order to be forgiven
