It seems to me that Jean is just taking the approach of “I don’t want to be the Phoenix. What if I had done THIS differently or THAT differently?” Instead of taking “what if we took ORCHIS a tad bit more seriously and DID SOMETHING ABOUT THEM SOONER?”
She's getting to that but she's got to figure out the self resurrection which she only did with the Phoenix and may need to channel that Power to do it again so...... It's going somewhere.

@@devegas4910I think u r looking at it from the wrong angle. I think she is figuring out what the problem in general is and where it originated from. Orchis is just the result of the problem. One issue at a time. It will take time for her to figure it out. But the Orchis problem came from somewhere
It was already stated the Jean will the the main hero in Helfire Gala 2023 and that she will be the center of it all and the one to fix it. So this will take some time
I agree. There's a single moment that if she did it differently things would have changed. And there's no way shit like AvX or Decimation or any of the recent X-Events go the way they did with her around.
Its my head canon that when Jean dies, she literally goes to the lobby.
She sits in the White Hot room and comes up with a game plan before rejoining the match.
Maybe that's her last stop. Shit pops off in the white hot room
I think the moment will be her not accepting the Phoenix when she comes back in Resurrection. I think she will go back and accept the Phoenix. Just my thoughts from what I've read so far.
That could work. I'd be interested to see it play out.
My crazy theory is everything went wrong when both Jean and Scott left Krakoa to form a new X-Men against the council's wishes. Jean quit her Council position and Scott relinquished being Krakoa's General was the start of the Fall. I know it was touched upon in Judgment Day and Jean had no regrets then but maybe now she will... That's my dumbass guess.
The phoenix needs to go back to burning any & everybody who isn’t omega level. I hate that the phoenix has been reduced to plot point for literally anybody to wield and gain a power boost

I hate the idea of the Phoenix Force bonding with whoever, it feels so desperate. Originally it was only with Psychics with immense power which made sense..
Bcz the Phoenix Force is the nexus of all psionic energies, that only Omega level Psychics could house its powers.
They made the Phoenix Force a joke and just a power boost which is ridiculous. Its more than passion. It doesnt look for passion...
It looks for fulfillment, avatars that do the Phoenix work and the true Phoenix.
Phoenix is more or less like Venom. Anyone can bond with a Phoenix but not everyone uses it effectively. At least that's how I've always interpreted it. Hell, even other powerful psychics don't always handle it well (looking at you, Emma Frost). And it's not like either Cyclops or Wolverine actually had any control. So I think what you're worried about isn't actually happening. It just appears that way. Phoenix gets used a lot, but few can actually use it without being used by it.
I thought the pheonix was attracted to strong psychics and thats why it chose Jean? I felt like that was established a while ago. I could be wrong. I know the pheonix is more x men drama. But My what if person for carrying the pheonix is Sam Wilson. It just makes sense that a guy who uses his psychic powers to connect with birds and closest friends would try and connect with a cosmic bird. And im surprised out of all the Phoenix host in comics that he was never an option.
Well if we're sticking with psychics, he's not a particularly powerful one. But honestly the Phoenix is attracted to power. Jean had it had it. Psychics, sure. But the Phoenix has had more hosts than people realize, and a lot them weren't psychic
@@BlerdWithoutFear Okay I always thought the ones who weren't psychic were just like what ifs and not canon. But I understand and that's cool that they expanded it. I def wouldn't put Sam Wilson on the level of xavier. The only reason why I would disagree that isn't a powerful one in his own right. Because he has great feats with his powers and great control. He's sensed when people were in trouble from miles away in his sleep. He's controlled other animals, and he's gathered a number of birds that aren't even in the United states. It's just his stories or the stories he's in don't particularly try to expand on what he can do. The last time they even mentioned them is when they tried to ask if he was a mutant and that went nowhere. I think he can be powerful enough to take it on not without any difficulty of course. Even the most powerful psychics have had a hard time holding the Phoenix. It's just a psychic I would love to see try it as it can at least expand or unlock something. Even Jean got a boost on her powers after the Phoenix of course there was other things as well. But the Phoenix was a huge part of that power boost.
I was thinking her biggest regret was leaving the Quiet Council.

The key significant part of this story was that Jean was still the one who called upon The Phoenix to help Wolverine...she did so indirectly...yet never realized it.
Meh. I thought Jean was chosen not only because she could psychically absorb the pilot's skills/knowledge of piloting the shuttle, but also because she could telekinetically protect herself (at least for a time) from the deadly radiation. So, if the whole piloting thing really isn't' an issue, then I could see Logan being chosen. But Storm (who can manipulate the atmosphere, & several forms of energy, including radiation) might've been a good choice.
Wait a minute, Jean oversaw a lot of his memories in the Marvel Unlimited Infinity Comic, Life of Wolverine. Jim Zub wrote it, while X(Ten) Lives of Wolverine was happening.
Didn't read it, but this takes place in the 70's, or at least the comics from then. So 🤷🏿♂️
Wolverine wasn't chosen because his powers hadn't been fully fleshed out. Jean Makes sense because of her obvious ability to create tk shields.
Well that and Claremont really wanted to tell a Jean centric story. But Wolverine didn't need anything like that then. He was already stupid popular.
She needed to be true to herself. Move forward but move forward with confidence and be true to who you are.

Like that’s the message behind it… all this jumping back in time is hurting there character and who knows if they are altered but how many times they travel back to the past.
My theory is that by the end of this book we’ll have an ultimatum. Jean and Krakoa aren’t meant to co-exist. We can’t have a phoenix wielding omega level Jean Grey AND a thriving mutant nation.
I've read before that the Phoenix has been watching Jean since her powers manifested. Also, what would the Phoenix want with somebody who isn't a powerful telepath? The Phoenix loves to play with people's minds.

Things might have gone differently. Especially if Jean was able to talk to Wanda. Jean's good at talking people down off the ledge.

the issue is, if she were to change her death at the hands of xorn, then all the stuff that happened with Emma taking her place will go drastically different, especially Emma and Scott being together.

For Jean, I think the moment that she is looking for is examining her time as the White Phoenix of the Crown and what she could’ve done at that time then. She had by all account temporal manipulation powers and projected herself into events like AVX, but more importantly I want to focus on the moments of utopia where the Phoenix left the cuckoos. I think it could’ve been then that she had time to not only secure the full power of the phoenix, but truly aid in the events leading up to the mutants downfall…the vampires, the schism, AVX, and so much more.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she becomes the Phoenix again…that whole story of her rejecting the Phoenix was a whole point being made that she was born to be the Phoenix but that she is choosing to no longer be stuck to that destiny…she’s always been at odds with the Phoenix…I’d love to see her at the end of this finally accepting her purpose and becoming THE ONE AND ONLY PHOENIX…2 entities becoming one.
I honestly would have been interested in a what if, of if Cyclops was the one to get the power of the Phoenix first ?
Because that would make me wonder just how much it would shift the story ?

I.M.P having polaris pilot the ship would have endangered none of them. Then the Phoenix would have possessed anyone on the shuttle.
Polaris with the Phoenix would have been cool or even Storm. Even Wanda with Phoenix would have been interesting.
That would have been interesting but sadly Polaris wasn't present for that issue. But if she was it would've worked.

I see a lot of people say this but here's the thing... no one is "wielding the Phoenix Force" like Jean does. Pretty much everyone else other than Echo has largely been incapable of controlling it long-term. That said... you might wanna get over Echo. 🤣🤣🤣

I would predict that without Jean Grey, the Phoenix force would have been lured to a Magik user, such as Ilyana Rasputin before her time in Limbo! Now that would have made her long stay in Limbo an interesting time and could have produced a realm as disjointed and vast a rare jewel with perpetual destruction and change full of Life force, ever changing and with the multiple Demensional paths to the Timeless realm it could have the results of a Cancer-verse like realm of change to fill in all other dimensions only without the Evil Agenda of the Multi Angled Ones!

I know people like the story line, but I have to say, I hate it, as it rewrites the history of other stories about the Phoenix at the time and ignores other parts of the story. If I recall back then, everyone believed it was Jean that was the Phoenix, and died on the moon. However, wasn't it in the Avengers issues later on, when Jean came back up alive that it wasn't Jean that died on the moon, but the Phoenix force and that Jean was found encapsulated in the waters of the bay where the shuttle crashed? If the Phoenix force seeking the passion, made itself a duplicate of Jean, with all the physiological and psychology nuances of Jean that everyone examining her at the time, thought she was the original Jean Grey, then wouldn't it have done the same with Wolverine? If the Phoenix force is such an all-powerful entity to resurrect itself and why would it need to possess when it can clone and replace entirely. If Jean is the omega level on her abilities now, resurrecting herself is not contingent on the phoenix force now, since it's no longer possessing her or is it she was nor Omega level until she was possessed by Phoenix, but then everyone ever possessed by Phoenix is opened the potential for omega level? If the latter, then might be more power in several of those possessed by the force. That might be interesting, such Rachel, per say has acted like the phoenix but I don't think she was possessed by the actual phoenix force. Others like Emma, Scott, Magik, Colossus, Namor, Echo, Hope. It might be interesting why none of them were replaced by the Phoenix entity and why Jean was the only one.

Power like a god of the infinity of reality is the Phoenix forse a powerful being without a gentle mind it takes someone or an rage to hold that power in only to let it out like a raging beast of gamma blooded creature of a gamma bomb so what if there's another not a mutant but mutated human with the anger issues but still a hint of humanity somewhere inside the Hulk what if the Phoenix chose Bruce Banner but not the Hulk unfortunately the Hulk side gained a foothold on this and changed into a large problem in the universe Phoenix Hulk part gamma and part phoenix, but something else happened Banner went insane and tore reality apart by bringing his darker side out World Breaker Phoenix? Galactus then appears with the Watchers, then all hell breaks out?
Jean actually did not become the Phoenix. The Phoenix became Jean while Jean was in a cocoon at the bottom of Jamaica Bay recovering from her near death experience due to the radiation she absorbed upon reentry through the Van Allan belt. Jean Grey has never even gone dark Phoenix. Ever.
I’m glad it wasn’t Storm and I hoped it wouldn’t have been Jean because the Phoenix took away from the character…when you mention Jean you think Phoenix but we forget that Phoenix only embodied Jean’s form and personality. I wish cyclops would’ve killed two lane birds with one stone but Marvel had already explained the truth that if Jean wasn’t there then it would have been Storm..that there was no other beings at the time that could’ve hosted the Phoenix force. I haven’t bought or read the comic and won’t because I just know that Phoenix will be the highlight of it so I won’t even waste my time nor my money. Marvel is just horrible with X-Men solo comics…the mutant never progresses and never any character development ever..just stalled in past events that won’t change anything in the future
Still a bit lost as to why she is going so far back. From my understanding she should start at the beginning of the krokoan era.
