This is awesome ive been thinking of building one also having seem one in use in the Coronas music video 2 suggestions for you seeing as you retained the plug could you install a charger into the body of the hoover also so you pull out the plug and charge it then wind up when done ? The green switch could maybe be used to activate the charger The gap with the wheels could be addressed by cutting another set of wheels in half and bonding them to the originals or plastic weld them on for a better finish Do you have a parts list of what you used ? I was thinking of buying an rc car and using its parts to make the drivetrain for henry however i like that you retained the original front caster wheels and instead opted for individual motors on the rears to control direction great job 👌
Hi! thanks for your thoughts! Yes using the plug would be a smart move plus using a lead acid battery means a relatively simple charging system. I suspect i could get a second set of wheels from eBay. Your suggestions are on the improvement list. I don’t have a parts list, but it’s not too difficult. If you want a slightly more detailed list, you may enjoy this page. www.shorturl.at/fgsP4. Thanks for your comment 😊
Hello, your clearly a smart cookie! Would you be able to modify a Henry Hoover with a remote on/off control? I want to be able to control it whilst using power tools as an dust extractor. So simply have a small pocket remote with a single click control. Hole to hear from you soon, I'm based in Brighton.
I am wondering about doing something very similar to this, and just wondering what motors you used? I already have a dead henry hoover in store for the project. :)
I used motors from Argos drills, you can find more info here www.fightingrobots.co.uk/threads/13461-new-style-argos-drill-motors-a-look-inside-and-review
I love this idea, if only the motor still work and you could still vacuum with it oh well

@@slick.productions do you have an updated link for the parts list?

I got kinda the opposite. Wanna use the controller from an old vacuum to drive an rc car with an angle grinder for the motor
That's going to be some kick ass rc car. What batteries are you planning on using?
Looking good sweetie!
