That weekend at Imola in 1994 seemed like it was cursed. Barichello crashing on Friday, Ratzenberger passing away on Saturday, Lehto and Lamy crashing at the start of the race, Senna passing away on lap 7 and a Ferrari mechanic getting injured by a tyre bouncing into the pits. I've been watching F1 since 1986 and I've never known a weekend like it, before or since.
@@Spike-sk7ql they were, unfortunately. 8 or 9 people, including a policeman, were injured after the crash between Lehto and Lamy at the start. I think it was Lehto that stalled on the grid and everyone avoided him, apart from Lamy.
They had very beautyful looking cars. It's a pitty that SIMTEK could not end this Formula 1 Season. I think their car was faster than FORTI, FOOTWORK or PACIFIC.
For me the most exciting is the smaller F1 teams. Their cars wasn't quick but in formula 1 to design a chassis an engine ,a gearbox, suspension , aerodynamics many scientists have spend many years of their life in universities and polytechnics , studying imathematics , physics thermodynamic , strength of materials , mechanical of fluids and I have respect to all these people. Coloni , Pacific , Simtek , Minardi, Life , Zakspeed, Larousse, Toleman , Footwork, AGS , Ram , Onyx , Lola , Prost Fondmetal , Dallara , Forti , Andrea Moda , Modena lambo , Osella , Eurobrun , March , Leyton house , Spyker , Hispano racing , Haas , Marussia , Virgin and teams with better results like Stewart ,Tyrrell Jaquar , ligier Arrows , Brabham Akfa Romeo two teams Also I like many small F 1 engines constructors like Ilmor , Carlo chiti Motor modeni , Judd , Hart , Asiatech I collect models from all these teams
At 1:57 there is a failure: Roland Ratzenberger wasn't born in 1962, his birthdate was july 4th 1960. He had made himself two years younger for his career but it was a "fake date".

Weren't some people in the stands injured by a tire that flew into the stands from the crash at the start?

Beautiful indeed, the Footwork was faster but the Minardi slower.

Think argentina was one of verstappen's favoriete track's
'96 points with footwork
'97 retired in 5th or 6th with tyrell
Indeed. This track reminded Verstappen of a go-kart track and he liked that.

Great to know, this video part was taken from the 1994 F1 official review video.
Eurosport with Ben Edwards and John Watson... the best. Two years ago both where back on F1 TV. superb!
Une jolie monoplace, malheureusement, peu de budget: peu de performances...
Jos the Boss. Benetton should have persisted with him........ How I miss these days, apart from the bias Pommy commentators.
Thanks for watching! I was a real Jos fan back in the day.
Wonder what happen to the cars?
The got sold on the liquidation auction. I have seen them appearing on Boss GP races and I think at least 1 is still in working condition.
Simtek in 1994 Look at it, it is in par with McLaren in-93..
4:02 let's leave it that, in 1994, Simtek drivers weren't good, as simple as that.
Car was underfunded.
The team which gave us Taki Inoue and a purple livery.
Nothing of value was lost.
Your ignorance is evident for all to see.
Embarrassingly off the pace
Never had enough money,..
Awful team
