@@jxmar_ Well it's well known that Toyota tunes back performance to better give what the majority of drivers want. I personally like how the car handles and performs much better in the v6 than the v4. That alone makes it worth it. I'm not drag stripping the thing lol.
I mean it is not bad at all. My whole thing with Accord, Camrym Altima was that their base engines were good and more then adequate. They offered the performance engine ( usually a v6) back in the day and they were outright fast. I feel ALL of these cars shoudl have an R-line, S-line, N line etc..
Give them time, hybrid engines will get even better, with electric motor providing instant torque you get performance along with great fuel economy those V-6 only dream of.
I think I saw a video between the front wheel drive version and the all-wheel drive version. Apparently the all-wheel drive version is 3/10 of a second faster than the front wheel drive.
Sadly V6 model discontinued. The next-gen high performence powertrain I'm looking forward is PHEV. Same engine with 300~310HP output on RAV4 Prime and NX450h+. If there is Camry Prime, 0-60 can be easily achieved in 5.5 sec.
@@parfumextraitfan7453 60mpg at normal driving style and whatever mpg when you floor it. Definitely, for 500 bhp you can't expect 60mpg. I think it could be a reality, if they can make a turbo on demand system for the 2.5 engine. So in normal mode, you have your atkinson cycle 2.5 200 - ish HP that gives you 60mpg. When you put it into sport mode, then engine goes out of atkinson cycle and some flaps open in order to activate a turbo system, that normally it's closed/off/bypassed. Then, with the turbo you could get 400-500hp from the engine + electric motor.

This is the same 0-60 you would get with an auto Toyota GR86, not bad at all for a Camry, and of course it was not meant to be a performance car, it is meant to be fuel efficient and reliable, you can't compare this new Camry to the previous V-6 one, the V-6 Camry never gets 50mpg ;) good job Toyota.
@@chiefdp213 225/232 horse ain’t doing 0-60 sub 6 seconds 🤦🏼♂️ Under ideal conditions, the previous gen with 301 hp v6 could pull that off. The instant power from those electric motors aren’t enough to make up for that huge hp loss. 6.5 seconds might be doable.

What a beautiful machine!
Redline Reviews tested the FWD and AWD. The fastest he got was with the AWD, which was 6.4 seconds. And that was on a 3% downhill grade.
Holy crap that’s fast asf! If you wouldn’t tell me I’d think this was a vid of a prime model Toyota. Now just image a PHEV Camry w AWD and 302 hp🤯
its not fast lol its quick enough to not be slow
The LE trim is faster.
I wish they brought back the V6, this isn’t the same.
I’m fine with that. If they have GR version of it they should bring V6
This is barely slower than the V6, while getting over double the fuel economy.
Nobody bought a Camry to drag race, and barely anyone bought the V6.
I had the v6 Camry. It’s nice but the transmission really holds it back in terms of performance.
The v6 isn’t much faster. Especially w the 2018-2024 gen. The v6 Camrys simply couldn’t put the power down compared to this

If the FWD does it in 6 seconds, the AWD might be faster.
This is similar to the V6, while getting way better fuel economy.
