guys let me give my testimony. i made my wire transfer on April 19 and received the welcome letter and investment instruction letter on May 6 which shows it can go as long as 17 days before you receive them so just to be safe open your gic account as early as possible

Hello! Since I have two names which I put a dash in between, I e-mailed Scotiabank for them to update my first name and to replace the dash with a space. Do I need to wait for Scotiabank to update my name before I can go to the bank to make the transfer?

Hi Sir, i hope you’re doing well. I just want to ask if worst comes to worst in incases of Visa Refusal. The money transferred in Scotia Bank can be refunded ba in FULL or with deductions already? If yes how much would the deductions be? And if ever naman magkano yung interest na babalik sayo after 12 months?
I believe it can be refunded in full, except for the $200 fee. You can double check on other sources to be sure.

Hello I have a question what if i deposited in the GIC amounts of $20,000 CAD since mine as a student 10k + 4K for my husband + 6k for my 2 kids. I understand for the student how about the rest for my husband and my kids? What is the process?
They will only accommodate the student. So you'll have to deposit everything under your student account. They can open their own once they get here.
Hi sir, i forgot to include my Transit Number on my application last week but all other datas such as SWIFT Codes and all identifiers were correct and included. Will that affect my application? I filed my application last May 24, 2021 and i have not received any email yet from their end. I am worried that my wire transfer wasn’t successful. If ever there is something wrong with your application, it will just bounce back. Also it does take some time, like 10 to 14 days before you get a response.

for wire transferring money coming from the local bank here in the philippines they asking for the route number of the scotia bank is it real that do i need to get route number..as per scotia bank they dont have route number
They should have. Or at least an equivalent designated number. If you apply, they will give you a sheet with all details. Sometimes PH bank tellers are also confused with these transactions since this is not part of their usual routine. Go to a different branch or ask for a manager.

Hi. Yes, you’ll be receiving 2000 CAD. That’s part of the amount you deposited. Then then every month they will give you 667 CAD. Something like that depending on the interest rate. That’s for one year if you deposited 10,000 CAD.
Hi, As per ur first name I have my middle name or father's name along with my first name in the passport. So I can put - between my first name and my middle name right? So my full name can be exactly like my passport?
I think they do not need the last name of your father. You only put on your first name the names given to you. I understand it’s different with each culture though. Best is to chat with their hotline if you are unsure.

@@janmarczacarias4093 I’m not sure with your bank, but in my case, I had to buy USD first then the receiving bank will convert it to CAD.
And now i'm planning to bring my usd money as bank draft and when i arrived at canada i will be the one to deposit it in my scotiabank account. Is that okay sir to bring usd money as international student?
Hi sir, in the application i put my address here in the Philippines. So when i went to the bank and fill up the form in benificiary information part, I put my address here in PH but they told me that the address should be in Canada. Should I change my address on the application? My mom is in Canada i can put her address instead. Thanks

Sir i have paid my GIC on 10 may and amount debited in the same evening. But till now i didn't get any confirmation mail from Scotia bank. How much time they take to verify the payment?
It can take around 10 to 14 days.
I paid on 12th may didn’t get response
But one of my friend got confirmation within 6 days
