The first enemy party that got surprised was not because you got them... It was because they couldn't believe someone would be overconfident enough to send just one antiquarian to a long exterminate mission gg btw
@@youtubeisgarbage900 I love the game, but the rng system can be infuriating when you have stuff hitting you for 1% chance while you miss 99% chance hits, much like when in xcom you miss point blank shots. On the other hand its unlikely for you to risk hitting something at those odds since you might miss a turn. D&D has this same system where you miss when you roll a 1 no matter your attack/enemies armor class, so it is in fact a 95% chance to hit at most. but if you think about it, out there somewhere (statistically possible) there is a master swordsman that fails to hit a novice (keeps rolling 1s) while there is a novice that keeps hitting and ends up killing a master (keeps rolling 20s at a minimum 1 damage). That makes 0 sense. Its all a product of rng. Nobody likes to leave their fates in the hand of chance, imagine if in chess you had to roll a coin each time you captured a piece? You'd go mad.
This solidifies Antiquarian as the main protagonist of Darkest Dungeon. Josefina Joestar goes through the entire run without her Highwayman stand. It must be a prequel or the training arc of the saga.
Well, imagine being a bandit, and not just a normal one, an elite one, working deep inside a cove filled with deadly creatures of alien descent, and this one girl comes inside your room, standing there with fish blood on herself, having made all her way there somehow managing to kill everyone else
The sword feesh when they're in the backranks don't have any attacks that can hit position 1. So they just pass, which is really funny when it does happen.

She had Eldritch Slayer early on before she lost it, that helped a lot. Aside from that and having Natural Swing locked in the game has a hidden ACC modifier. Every time you miss an enemy your accuracy gets increased by +4 until you eventually hit them. Once you do the modifier resets.
Smoking Skull gives +35 dodge Ancestor's Coat gives +15 dodge Luminous gives +5 dodge and using Get Down gives me +25 dodge for 3 turns all that on top of Antiquarian's naturally high dodge
Now do the same thing in 0 light and do a blood moon campaign with 1 antiquarian 0 light all bosses. Can't be that hard. After all dd is not a difficult game after you play it for 3 hours.
