I have a 2020 Lowrider S. Love my bike! Put 12” t bars on it. Thunderheader 2-1, and a 122 kit! Lady has got some ZIP and sounds and feels incredible. Great video!
Jerry, Beautiful bike, Harley will sell a bunch! I agree with the other guy, Im a chrome and black guy, I have a 2019 base model low rider in chrome and black, I think its one of the most beautiful bikes out there, I get so many compliments on it. I was really hoping Harley was going to bring a 2022 chrome S version out, I was planning on buying it on the spot. The salesman at my Harley dealer don’t understand why Harley dont have a chrome version he gets so many request for chrome.
These ST’s are going for over MSRP here in DFW area of North Texas, getting $5k over MSRP. Adam’s HD and their 6 stores. They said they think the whole country is selling them at over MSRP. I understand supply and demand creating pricing spikes but MSRP should be enough to cover the bills. Consider accessories adds, shop time and loan interest profits. It truly becomes a beautiful thing. It’s Harley Davidson, and besides all the Hedge Fund managers, Attorneys and Accountants gotta ride to. But I digress. Oh yes. The bike is very sweet.
Yeah unfortunately they only manufactured 300-ish STs for the entire nation of H-D dealerships. Basically one for each dealership. Probably to gauge demand but all it’s served to do is enable predatory sales practices. Come on Harley! You should know better!
Things must work differently in the States. If a UK H-D dealer tried to sell a new bike for more than the MSRP (we call it RRP Recommended Retail Price over here) they'd have their bollocks cut off 😁
Thank you for another great review sir. I just got the same bike and was concerned about the “lack of the rear brake pressure”. Use to having forward controls so this was an adjustment on the mids, but I am 5’10” and it’s somewhat comfortable. Not happy on positioning/location of shift lever. Hoping to resolve that when I take her in the get my Bassani road rage 2 in 1 exhaust put on soon. I’d recommend that HD start taking the time to invest in safety functions such as lighting. Yes, the single halo main headlight is great, but I swapped out the amber turn signals and brake ones with LED’s. Ones in rear have red lens caps and work in conjunction with the main rear tail light now as well. Other than everything I’ve mentioned, the bike is fantastic and the torque is unbelievable!
Picked one up yesterday in Gunship Grey. I did have to give more than MSRP which I think is ridiculous but I wanted it and they gave me a decent trade in so I got it. Plenty fast even holding it to 3500 rpm
I'm trying to decide between every S and ST Harley makes and riding a 2021 114 lowrider S and a 2022 117 lowrider ST back to back the 117 pulls like a damn tractor uphill in 4th gear at 30mph with zero complaints
Get the S and look at some Leather Pro bags, the HD bags on the ST are loose for some reason. HD makes a great looking and sporty front fairing that's in between the one that comes on the S and ST,size wise.Still have some dollars leftover for LED'S and cruise control.
Just traded my 2018 Fat Bob FXFBS in for a 2022 Low Rider S. It's at the dealer getting a Stage III and Bassani Sweepers exhaust. Can't wait to pick it up & get out there. The LRS is such a classic looking bike, every time one would pass me by I'd have to do a double take, so finally decided it was time to trade in my Bob for it.
Just got me 2020 Lowrider S back with the 122 kit…. Man! She goes like a rocket and sounds incredible with the 2-1 thunderheader. 12” t bars too bc stock the bars are so low Enjoy when you get her back!

I have a 2020 Softail Standard. The rear brake wasn’t performing at all. I adjusted the pedal height. It didn’t help much. I went to my dealership and they bled the rear brake. It made all the difference in the world. I don’t have or want ABS and I can lock the rear brake easily on purpose. Works for me.
Love your content Jerry, one of the few people that I trust your opinion, hope to see alot more future content! LOL I always wonder why people turn and nearly need 2 lanes to make a turn it bothers me to this day.

Nice video Jerry. Just my opinion but I think the front tire looks a bit narrow 100??? I have a deluxe and like a thicker front tire. Too, would you please explain “trail.” Thanks Ron
I don't think there's any comparison. Do you want the genuine item, or a cheaper knock off? Then when it comes time to sell or trade, Indians resale value is not nearly what Harley Davidsons is. Then there's the after market support and the huge dealer network H.D. has. There are plenty of Chief Bobbers laying around at dealers. Finding a Low Rider S can be challenging. There's a reason for that.
My seat of the pants dyno. Can’t tell the difference between any of the M8 motors. Ok, well slightly tell the difference but it wouldn’t be a deal breaker or a selling point to “upgrade” to any of the bigger motors. Better off getting whichever bike you like. Take whatever engine they aren’t charging markups for and throw in a cam.
I’m considering trading in my Sportster… I made the choice to buy a Sportster because I hadn’t ridden for 30 years.. Even though I had ridden in the past.. I considered myself a beginner.. but after 600 miles..I feel like the Sportster is not enough.. I wish I bought something else in the beginning.. but I’m getting msrp at trade in.. so I’m seriously considering lowrider s or st. Or a fat Bob. It’s a tough decision…

Low Rider gauges should be on the tank. This is no longer a "Low Rider." It's a Super Glide. Harley needs to rename it.
SuperGlide is ok with me! Both are cool.
You mentioned engine heat, do you run a 50 or 60 weight oil in Florida?

Speaking of forward controls...how about heavy breather air cleaner? Is it room for legs?
I had no problem with it.
Do you have any issues with helmet buffeting on the low rider s? I get some major buffeting issues on my 22 at higher speeds.
Does this have a cruise control?
Just picked one up the other day I agree the shifter was way too high. Easy adjustment for sure.
I haven't found the sweet spot yet, the next spline will bring it slightly too low for my HD boots. Sneaker should be fine.
