I want more flannel please. Flannel plaid shirts can no longer be found here in central NC. I will ask friends to go thru their closets. Thanku Tracy. OH and I use gel bleach in a recycled detergent squeeze bottle for making swirls, skipping the swiping method. Then rinse it out under the bath tub spigot before putting thru the washer. The pink jean jacket I did this to sold in just a few days. Victory! Lavoie Boho NC USA 2023
I just finished listening to the podcast you are a very generous woman. You hit on all the right things that prevent people from living their best and fun lives. You my girl are very Brave and oh so creative. It's so refreshing to find someone in this crazy world that will Give themselves and knowledge to anyone willing to listen. You are this Tribes champion ❤❤
So I found a map where a buried box was hidden. I dug up the box and found tmeyers handmade TH-cam channel. I have been binging your videos forgetting to stop to eat. LOL. You are my alter-ego for sure. This project is a home run. Thank you. I aspire to be as creative as you. @76 years old I’m taking my time but I’m not giving up. Thank you, thank you & thank you. My last video was about recycling shipping air pillows. I also have a video on using coaxial cable ends as tassel tops. It’s all such fun.
Dear Tracy, you are inspiring people all over the world..I just watched the channel 'my fairy treasures' and she mentioned you all the time, she is obsessed on you like me when I discovered you. Congratulations 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝 The video is: "ALL OF THE CLOTHING I HAVE UPCYCLED USING TMYERS HANDMADE TECHNIQUES IN THE BOHO/LAGEN LOOK STYLE."
Thankyou for another fantastic tutorial ❤️ I listened to yr podcast, i have so many positive things to say about it you were great, it is fear that keeps people procrastinating & thinking their not good enough, you are the shining light my friend, holding the torch for us all to follow, being self taught, i tried recycling an Italian linen top i bought new, ive loved it to death it needs transforming, so i found some linen serviettes to put on new sleeves, it worked i never would have done that before, thanks to you, Thankyou for getting up in the morning to do this, because you inspire me to do the same ❤🎉💐🥰💜💙💖
Traci, once again. Thank you so much for your inspiration and motivation. Not just in upcycling, but in general. I've been through hell over the summer. All I had was my phone my crocheting and a pair of overalls to redo. I was in the hospital and rehab. I had to liven up those boring overalls! Thank you, Traci.
Love 😍this applique flannel. I am heading to Savers to search for a fall colored one. Thank you for teaching us the trick to making trim from the doilies.🐦
I have been making upcycled flannels to take to a craft fair. I take a bunch of flannel shirts outside and lay them on my driveway and sprinkle bleach on them with a squirt bottle. After they sit for about 10 minutes, I rinse them with a water hose and then wash and dry in my machines. Then I get to decorate them with Lace and patchwork and parts of old quilts. I have been collecting doilies and trims and cutter quilts for years. I have several dozen fancy flannel shirts ready to go for fall festivals. Love the one you made! 😊
Traci, I just found your videos a few days ago and I am enjoying them so much. I have been sewing for close to 60 years and I have gathered a craft room full of trims, buttons, vintage sheets and fabrics. I am not able to do much anymore due to arthritis in my hands, but your videos make me want to try again. My adult granddaughter would love the vintage and boho looks you demo in your tutorials. Thank you for the great ideas! The flannel jacket was amazing- I would never have guessed what it was before! I wanted to mention a tool for your sewing machine that I think you might like. It is called a ruffler or a ruffling foot. They are made to fit most sewing machines and ruffle the fabric as you sew, so you don't have to pleat it- although sometimes pleats are what you want, of course. But the ruffler is adjustable to make the ruffles subtle, at a lower number, or you can adjust it to feed up to 4'x the fabric as what you are adding the ruffle to. I used it a lot in making home decor like curtains. Joann's or Hobby Lobby may sell them, or they may be cheaper on Amazon. Have a great day! 😊
Be sure you get the exact ruffler for your machine's model number, not just the brand since they can be different for different models. Also there are tutorial videos on You Tube (I just love tutorials! Lol). Thank you again for all the great inspiration!
That podcast was fantastic!! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to show us all of your creativity and ideas and teaching your ways. I just got a sewing machine and have been working on a space in my basement hoping to one day make some of your ideas and hope to sell them someday. I hope you are doing well and keep bringing us your invaluable videos! Happy thrifting and I hope to see more when you’re at the thrift stores as well as your thrift hauls when you talk us through your ideas and thoughts of what to look for and what cool stuff you’ve found. You’re such a treasure!! ❤
Love this! Really enjoyed the podcast you linked, too!!! It's really cool to get even more of your story! Thanks for always aharing and putting yourself out here, Traci! ❤ As always, I'm forever checking to see when you've uploaded a new video. I'm one of those very inspired loyal admirers. Just finished my flannel shirt , using your tutorial. I had a collection of wide white crocheted trim which I dyed pink and toned down the color with tea dyeing. I made a pocket with a little vintage doily trimmed in dusty blue tatting. Thank you SO much for these wonderful videos! ❤
Love this shirt so much! Another project for me 😂. Listened to the podcast. You were great and continue to inspire me. I can't thank you enough. Hoping you will consider creating a long maxi boho denim coat! 🤞Hint hint 😂
Once again, I am visualizing a design, what I have in my house to cut up, & what I have to beg, trade, or run to thrift store for. 😊 Thanks. Always fun and instructive videos. ❤ I hope my creation will be on par with yours. If not, the neighbor's may really scratch their heads.🙀
@@tmyershandmade978 What a lovely interview on the podcast with you ❤️ It was so truly interesting to "get to know you more" 🤗 Your experiences and your thoughts were very giving 😍 That you are a truly wonderful Lady is clear in your super videos, but it was a true treat to hear more of the woman behind the scene. Thank you so much for your openness, wise advices, pepping and great generosity sharing and caring for everyone ❤️🤗😘
Traci, this is a great video. The podcast is great. You've really inspired me. I go to my thrift store every week and I can't stop upcycling. I will add to your mantra " Be brave" is "be ruthless" when you cut up your clothing!!!!

Another amazing tutorial. Going to listen to your interview in a minute. This technique with the bleach would be superb for tons of other crafts, but the recycled shirt is beyond amazing, thank you Tracy! 🤩😍😍😍
