One of the really big takebacks of this video that will affect workflow a ton is the fact that merge drop honors muted channels and doesn't copy those. Awesome!
Actually found out about this by accident when playing around with the vocoder when they released it, very useful for both vocals, guitar and basically everything you want to record, it’s excellent. I really like the looper workflow, gonna try it out. Thanks!
I was just testing now, and i managed to turn my op1 into a theremin both with gyro and SUM, Thanks for the inspiration man! I really wish there was a way to affect incoming voice with the LFO, it kinda works with pitch and volume. The only way to really do what i want is to sample it and then apply the LFO. The SP404 can do it though, kinda odd, but they both have their odds and ends. Loving the content man, still waiting for that adlib cm15 sample pack. I need some 90s style, or even just your own mannerisms adlibs. I've already done some sampling like that, you have such great voice for that. I would def pay for that!
Doesn’t work for me, at all. I put the vocoder on, and the mix to just the straight, dry vocal, then put a master affect like reverb on. Once I record a two bar, vocal, through the vocorder, and then playback with the master effect turned off, the vocal on tape is dry. Maybe you’re experiencing some bleedthrough from a speaker, or something.
Soooo sick. I've searched at least 20 times for best way to do vocal effects and had no luck. THANKS!
Right there with you. When I discovered this I was like HOLD UP!
Searched on YT for this, and I remembered I watched this video before. Awesome tip! 🤩
One of the coolest and most important “hidden” features on the op1 field I’ve discovered yet!
