    Great Content, very informative. I just opened up my 1st studio in October and was looking for more ways to monetize on the space, this helps out tremendously. I'm glad we have creators who give attention to the "Little Guy"!

    • @WalidAzamiTV
      @WalidAzamiTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      YESSSSS!!!!! Congrats on the studio and yes please try this out. I will add one thing though... find a niche to serve. Maybe you serve local chefs/foodies and build a few kitchen type of sets. Or serve fashion bloggers and create a "design studio" type of set for them. And then go really hard on that and be THE GUY for them.

    Thanks Walid .. I have a small space that I can expand which I have wanted to do anyway, but this idea could add some real value, I can dip my toes in and see where it builds.
    Also listened to your interview with Andrew Helmich .. loved it!

      That's a great idea! Let's see where the studio takes you. And you don't need a lot of space. Maybe you can play with a lot of backgrounds but keep the same space.

    Hey buddy !!! Thanks for the tips
    QUESTION: Whats you're most popular feature wall/theme'd space so far? I just built a 10,000 square foot studio space with a white cyc/jungle room/graffiti room etc .. Theres a bunch of different backdrops to shoot with but most of them are built right into the building and are not mobile. Is there a theme or wall feature that you find is your most popular or in highest demand?
    Appreciate your help !!!!!!!!! -FROM your fellow CANADIAN entrepreneur !!!!

    • @WalidAzamiTV
      @WalidAzamiTV  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Congratulations on your studio! The fastest way to change a wall is to have lighting available with gels. So have those available with some examples they can see. I would also ask myself what Canadians don't have... we know it's cold and we know it's not tropical. I would give the people who want that Mexican Tulum vibe, Greek or something Moroccan a backdrop. that means all white steps, palm tree props that create shows on the model or backdrop, etc.. what can they NOT get in their surroundings? I'd give them that. I'd also rotate that around, almost a new set every 3 months and once it's gone - it's gone!

    Haha texas is not cheap. We are at over $3/ft for most locations. I jus signed on approx. 825ft and got a good deal. This is a good way to gain income since I'm only in there a small percentage of the time.

    • @WalidAzamiTV
      @WalidAzamiTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Congrats on the studio. I'm looking at it from an LA perspective and we think everyone is cheaper than us. What are some of the cheaper cities in Texas?

    Hey, I just found a storefront to open my first studio. I’m a photographer myself & I have great clientele, but for some reason I’m so nervous.. is this normal? I’ll be paying $770 a month, 550 sq ft, in a great neighborhood, off a busy street, great exposure. I’m a part time news video editor & will be graduating with my BA in film & media May 13th. Should I go for it? I’ll keep my stable part time job. Also, should I negotiate the price?

    • @WalidAzamiTV
      @WalidAzamiTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      CONGRATS ON FINDING YOUR STOREFRONT!!! It's 1000000% normal to be nervous. That means that you're excited and it's worth taking the risk. I am excited for you! I'm sorry this message is two weeks behind, and I'm not sure if you made a deal yet or not. I think it's a fair deal. Do you have other bills to factor in? Of course you have utilities, internet, but what else could there be?

    • @keithwayneoutdoors
      @keithwayneoutdoors 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      ALWAYS negotiate price. Find comparable spaces that are a little cheaper by sq ft and point that out. All they can say is no and then you’re paying what they want. But they might agree to $50 or $100 off per month. That reduces your overhead and makes you more profitable

    Hi Walid, Appreciate the helpful informative content you've shared here! I've been toying with the idea of turning my personal living room space into a studio for photoshoots. With my background in social media marketing, I've been thinking of working with local independent retailers to help them capture content for their marketing purposes. I was wondering if this is a good idea? I assume the answer would be different for every individual and how they use and live in the space. For me though, my living room is very large, completely empty, and never used. Is doing this in the same space I live the smart thing to do? Do you have any tips or advice for people wanting to do this from home? Also, what is the best way to reach you regarding questions on photography/videography etc.? Kind Regards, Jo:)

    • @WalidAzamiTV
      @WalidAzamiTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So it's a good idea IF...
      1. You protect your home and are selective with who enters it
      2. I would be very cautious about allowing people to come into your home. People are crazy.
      3. I have a pricing course that comes with a FB support group. I'm very active in there and it allows you to ask questions from me or others in the community. Think of it as Tech support for your business. That course is called STEP Pricing, so that link is in my bio.

    • @socialwithjo4523

      @@WalidAzamiTV Thanks for the reply and the advice. Yes, I'll be very selective of this for sure, and will also check out the FB group:)

      My pricing course is $145 at the time of this comment. It will eventually increase to mid- $300 range. I'd love to have you in there while there because 2023 will be a great year for those that prepare for it. If you're not in the position to invest in yourself, I have the TH-cam videos on this account which will give you good direction.

  • @piotr.czechowski
    @piotr.czechowski ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you got THAT clients why sell silly guides? Why teaching competition if this is so lucrative? I tell you why - beacuse owning a studio isn't that easy. It takes unlimited amount of money if you want to keep on surface and by renting you need to have booked at least 4 full days to make a profit. Good luck with that.

    Not truly realistic, i've been doing this 40 years! You will not be consistent like you say, up's and downs, don't get me wrong I've made a living for 40 years in photography. These numbers are realistic.

      Glad you’re still in business! 40 years is a lot!! And I’m confident in my numbers and my experience also. It’s important to note that one person’s experience shouldn’t erase that of another. I wish you’re years of success though.
