Great video, nice to see that "finnish" (Finlands flag is blue and white) boat being finish. But I saw a PC-fan in danger, 12V battery power will shorten the lifetime for any 12V PC-fan. By putting a resistor in series with the fan will protect the fan. Formula for the resistor in (13,8V-12V)/current, current is the value stamped on the fan an the result is in ohm. And if you not have a name on the boat, my suggestion is "Fish happens".
Wow - just fantastic! I think that the 'Suzuki Fishing Team' are absolutely brilliant for adding you because something like boating or fishing (from a boat) can be daunting to take up just because there is a perception of being difficult to join or do (especially here in Japan). The Suzuki Fishing Team have in one single action made it look welcoming and accessible. That alone give one the confidence to walk into a marina and ask questions. Naturally, there isn't any reason why anyone shouldn't do that, but removing ridiculous perceptions that people like myself have is really welcome. Simon and Gemma are also contributing massively to encouraging many to consider taking up boating and/or fishing.
What a wonderful comment, and if we can do it, anyone can! I'm so happy we can help show people that anything can be done, since we started our journey into fishing, the one thing that has blown me away is how supportive and helpful the community is! X
One silly suggestion, when you go for cushions et-al BRIGHT COLORS just in case you have any sort of emergency you will be easier to spot. Your hull color scheme is beautiful but blends into many sea conditions, having things beside the life jackets that are hi vis (even if not real high vis but bright colors.
Looks like you guys are getting some material recognition for the TITANIC amount of work you put into the channels. Your videos make me believe that you deserve it. Enjoy the fruits of your labour!
Thinking you should consider if you haven’t already, some ventilation in the battery compartment. They will put out fumes as they charge and your power supply may suffer from the fumes. Love your content and look forward to all your videos been watching your videos for a very long time.
I was gobsmacked at how quiet that engine was on tickover, ok its gonna scream like a spoiled toddler when Simon is thrashing it over the sea but thats all part of the fun. Well done team Robbins 👍
I’m impressed with the Suzuki guys installing the engine for you and setting it up. Don’t really get that kind of service much anymore. Great job guys.
That is an insanely good-looking little boat, you have done an incredible job of bringing an old girl back to life and you deserve all that sponsorship, you worked damn hard for it.
Batteries - we ran a similar setup with one "engine" battery and one "electrics" battery but we also had a cross-link switch between the two so that in the event that one died you could use the other to, usually, try and start the engine. Always call the coastguard to let them know what's happening before you flatten both batteries though :) A mains powered smart batter charger is great to make sure that you are always ready to go and makes the batteries last longer.
Simon you should encapsulate those transom holes with epoxy by drilling them larger and filling the hole with epoxy than when it cures drill the right size hole for the bolts that is required. That way the transom won't rof from the bolt holes.
That's what I was going to say. Drill a bigger hole. Full with epoxy resin. Then drill through this to the correct bolt hole size. That way, no wood is directly bolted through but the load is taken by the strength of an epoxy area.
It is interesting to see you two in your comfort zone. This episode is basically you walking us through what you guys do for a living. Granted it’s on a boat, but this is all standard jobs on building customizing RV’s. Most probably don’t know that about you all unless they dig a little bit.
Hi for the glow in the dark attractor's use a camera flash in milliseconds they will be great. Tried and tested 👍 Then you can use the grow light to grow some Herbs ,well I was going to say pot 😂✌
Hay! Your enthusiasm for the two projects is tenacious (stalwart, stout, strong, sturdy, and tough. While all these words mean "showing power to resist or to endure," tenacious suggests strength in seizing, retaining, clinging to, or holding together.)
Nice work, like the use of 'wasted space'. Now this is where this [15:50 in] portable power station thing goes between the starting and house battery? Excellent idea! My thoughtifs your not good a fishin, and you want to win the fishin comp, take a sticka jelly, light it, chuck it in and DUCK! Nice job on the stickerin Gem. Lubly Jubly motor 2 but. I've seen your boats big sista photo of Facebook. Gotta tellya, a pro boat against your rebuild, it close. Nice work! Thanks m8s!
Well done for your sponsorships just need the fish to bite love the boat you have done a cracking job that is one beautiful engine good work on the electrics especially the conduit idea just need a portable electric rings for cooking now to go with the power station 😊😊😊
Well done, you’ve both worked hard as always on another project, something to have and get some relaxing time away from your main project, after all, everyone needs a break. By getting sponsors on this project just goes to show they have faith that they will get some good publicity from yourselves. Cannot wait to see you on your first seaboat trial and your fishing practice for the competition.
I like that you've fitted an auxillary bracket. Most boats don't have them now. I've been told its because modern engines "don't break down" and yet I've had to tow a few back to the ramp with my old tinny. I've been a fan of Suzuki outboards for a few decades now. Good gear. Don't let having a smaller boat make you think you won't do well in her. I've won a few competitions in various events fishing out of boats under 15' while others were using 30 footers and couldn't turn a trick.
I have launched several new boats my latest yesterday one thing I loath at boat launches are the people who say "will it sink" grrrrrrrrrr spoiler alert they never do usually they have issues or faults but rarely serious. The one I launched yesterday was a sculling dory and its fault was the rowlock position I will move that 50mm aft. Great boat god bless her and all who sail in her :) and haven't modern outboards come a long way.
What a great transformation! Your little fishing boat looks great! And I imaging that it would be well suited as a dingy in the future. And congratulations on being picked up by Suzuki!!
Very nice episode! And it is good to have at least one maiden voyage of yours in the immediate future! (waiting for the other one ... but I know that takes time) So, looking forward to seeing you NOT sink!
That boat looks amazing. As much as I love seeing the ship being worked on this has been a nice change. How funny it would be if you won the competition 😂😂😂. Never miss a video that you put out. Keep up the amazing work you do.
What a great video. I am SO happy for you. You certainly have worked hard for the support. I know what ever happens out on the water, you will produce some great content for your 77,000 subscribers and have a good time ! Best of luck, always 😊
If the boat is tail heavy , put a 50 litre plastic tank ( the tanks are very strong and safe assuming its well mounted ) up the front mounted under the deck ,inside the cabin . Then you have a deck fill and the breather / overflow goes out through the side of the boat . I have done this to one of my boats , it made a big difference . It also made a difference to steering at low speed , no more side to side .
Credit where its due, as a diehard dangler from The Solent area, the uv light idea is a stroke of genius! Ditch the muppets though and get some proper plastic! 👌
Hands down the best outboard, loved mine, Btw get a can of Inox and spray under the cowling all the metal will keep and it does not 'eat plastics or rubber.. best used after wash down while the motor is still warm... mine looked brand new after nearly 10 yrs of sea use...
Well done dear friends well done. You should be proud of what you both have accomplished in rehabilitating that little boat (and the Sarinda too). God bless and keep you both well.
Congratulations on all of your progress! I thought that your idea of the UV lighting to charge your fishing lures was brilliant! BTW...does your boat have a name, or is that revealed during a proper christening?
I was watching wondering what size motor you would go with and I was thinking for the size of the Boat you would only get a 30 hp on the transom before it would be oversized But I am thinking old size motors and that 60 is absolutely perfect for the Boat the Motors have come down in size dramatically That Boat you Built is Absolutely amazing You Two are Going to KILL IT FISHING stay Safe
You could put a resistor inline with the fan to reduce the rpm and noise by a lot without losing much air flow, just get one of the right ohm and that can handle the wattage. Formulas to calculate the ohm´s is on line. You could get a variable resistor to control the speed of the fan but the higher wattage ones cost a lot more. I recommend conformal coating or similar to keep the batteries and cables under the sink from shorting as water will be in the vicinity.
Just a thought for the batteries to help absorb impact underneath a rubber car mat under the batteries as will absorb impacts that is what we did to our boats. Dont forget you drain plugs before in the water.
Thats a sweet engine and looks the biz on the back of the boat. I remember my teens on Lough Derg on holiday hanging onto a 3 HP Seagull Engine. Bomb proof little engines, but the vibration and sound like road drill on the end of your arm; you couldn't write your name after twenty minutes. Great holidays. Never caught anything other than one measly perch in all the holidays. I'd do it all over again. Had a thought in relation to your fan under the console. Fit a rheostat control, so you can reduce the noise for one and slow down the flow of air into the cabin to what's comfortable. It's cold on the water at night.
Absolutely love your shows! The two of you are completely amazing together and it shows in the great content you consistently create. I'm always looking forward to your next installment. Thanks for all the laughs!
Totally amazing. You guys have done a fantastic job on the boat it looks incredible. Congratulations on your sponsors and a massive welldone too you both on this awesome project.
That conduit trick is genius! What fantastic support. It might be easier to say 'anglers' rather than 'fisher people'. I smiled my way through the whole episode. Chuffed for you.
What about a fish box’s/bait box or you just going to use the glow in the dark plastic squid. You will need out riggers for the round fish like blue tuna. What about down riggers for cod. You have some large species of fish if you plan on winning in the contest , but pretty boats don’t catch fish.
The fan may run on 5v quieter? Which would be nice, that noise would drive me bonkers. Noctua also sell resistor fan adapter cables to slow them down, make them run quieter
How nice is that boat! That’s the way to sort it. I see many of these looking very sad on people’s driveways. Also great zapping of the sticker, send some my way and I see how many ships I can get the on……….
You, perhaps should have put a light grey tint on the windscreen and side screens, it would protect the polycarbonate and....that would have raised the WOW ! factor considerably.....It is not too late ! ! ! ! !

Might it be more convenient if the 'Raymarine' battery were to be placed along the hull and the new inverter placed in front so that the sockets faced into the cabin?
I hope Simon that you soldered those push on wiring connections to stop corrosion ingress into your wires. Some people will say it's all right but specially in salt water corroded connections can cause all sorts of problems.

Red would look great with the color scheme, same as the floor pin-striping!

Great job guys, g’day from Brisbane Oz again….
Thinking you should consider if you haven’t already, some ventilation in the battery compartment. They will put out fumes as they charge and your power supply may suffer from the fumes. Love your content and look forward to all your videos been watching your videos for a very long time.
Highly agree. Vented to outside to also get rid of heat even if those might be sealed batteries , didn't notice .
Brilliant job guys!👏👏
But definitely ventilation in the battery area, a couple of smaller computer fans?
Well done!
I was gobsmacked at how quiet that engine was on tickover, ok its gonna scream like a spoiled toddler when Simon is thrashing it over the sea but thats all part of the fun.
Well done team Robbins 👍
it still won't scream, those Suzies are crazy quiet even by modern 4-stroke standards.
Can't hardly wait until we see the boat in the water. Looks Great 👍

Hi Guys the boat looks fantastic and great work on Suzuki Fishing Team Sponsorship.
The PERFECT motor for that boat! Suzuki 4 stroke 60 HP.
Congratulations on your sponsorship from Suzuki
Hay! Your enthusiasm for the two projects is tenacious (stalwart, stout, strong, sturdy, and tough. While all these words mean "showing power to resist or to endure," tenacious suggests strength in seizing, retaining, clinging to, or holding together.)
It's turning out to be quite a good looking boat
Wow Simon, You do a better job cutting a round hole with a saber saw than I do with a hole saw!
If only the big boat project could be completed in the time it took to complete this project. Looking forward to seeing you two actually fish.
You guys did a fantastic job on this boat. Happy boating!
Great job with the boat can hardly wait to see her on the water.
You deserve the best for all your hard work, you'll catch some huge fish! Tight Lines!
So glad you got everything to be safe and the fantastic sponsors Including Japanese Suzuki wow it looks so good.
The outboard is something else. the boat is looking so good.
Oh heck yeah! Suzuki makes a great product!
The boat is looking great. I have enjoyed the build series. I look forward to the next video and seeing it in the water.

Lanolin works even better. It looks a bit messy but nothing corrodes thru that stuff.
Awesome lookin outboard !
Well done dear friends well done. You should be proud of what you both have accomplished in rehabilitating that little boat (and the Sarinda too). God bless and keep you both well.
Congratulations guys. 🎉. Boat looks awesome
Go out and catch some fish and have fun. Be safe. 😎👍
So wonderful! Cannot believe its the same boat!
Congratulations on all of your progress! I thought that your idea of the UV lighting to charge your fishing lures was brilliant! BTW...does your boat have a name, or is that revealed during a proper christening?
Love it! Such a great looking boat and motor combo!
Suzuki - awesome & righteous company! Always loved their products way back into the late 60'''s.
One baaad boat right there! I really dig the horn. You should be able to catch Jaws now.😉👍
fantastic vlog carnt wait to see the next one and see how the boat handles
Definitely THE coolest fishing boat !!
quite the epic motor installation music !!!

you should think about a battery parallel switch so if one is low the other can assist

That's a fantastic looking boat. Well done you two.
Like the led fuse board great choice for when there no power to blown fuse.
Totally amazing. You guys have done a fantastic job on the boat it looks incredible. Congratulations on your sponsors and a massive welldone too you both on this awesome project.
I think i would have mounted those battery switches as high up as possible. If you swamp you want them to be the last thing that goes under water.
Wow! That conduit hack is amazing! Thanks!
Makes it easier for sure!
It’s a fantastic idea. You will be able to add additional single wires using an 8mm ring spanner.
Now you’ve got to fish up a storm, normally you need to win some stuff to get this level of sponsorship, but your a good team to have on anyones side
I Love you guys. You work so hard, you get on so well, and there is real talent in those bones. I want to see you go fishing...

I'm so happy for you guys, Hampshire 🇬🇧
Will you be covering all the safety equipment and gear? Also, do you have a little backup motor in case the big one decides it wants a rest?
The boat looks awesome well done and good luck with your fishing 🎣 adventures
That conduit trick is genius! What fantastic support. It might be easier to say 'anglers' rather than 'fisher people'. I smiled my way through the whole episode. Chuffed for you.

Congratulations you guys, Suzuki fishing team! The fishing boat looks great! Raring to go!
What a sharp looking boat, I absolutely love it.👏🍻
Look forward to welcoming you to Gunwharf Quays Marina.
Looking forward to it so much!!!
Great work! Just need to add a small solar panel to run the fan when your not on the boat to keep it fresh in there!
You, perhaps should have put a light grey tint on the windscreen and side screens, it would protect the polycarbonate and....that would have raised the WOW ! factor considerably.....It is not too late ! ! ! ! !
Excellent video! What an achievement, not only the boat building but on the PR and sponsor side, that is enviable! Well done! Looking forward to seeing you catch that tuna...
All you need now is to watch "Man's favourite Sport", a movie starring Rock Hudson and Paula Prentiss (For the fishing tips)🙂
Well done
I think it might help to reduce mold and musty odors in the cabin if you fitted a metal louver to the lower part of the cabin door. With all the work to be done on Sarinda, your 'Fishing and Tip Hauler' will sit closed up for long periods. To prevent the nasty growths from getting started, mix a cup of vinegar and a 1/2 cup of water with an 1/8th teaspoon tea tree oil. Spray all the hidden spaces where mold likes to grow...And, just my opinion, I think a 'faux' porthole in the top of the cabin door would look spiffy! Lastly, will the Sprogs be coming fishing, or will it be to intense for them?...
Boat looks great a good pointer to how well you do your camper conversions anybody looking to get an RV conversion should give these guys a shout well done both love from Liverpool
I guess it's a good time to learn to fish and swim now? Outstanding presentation. Just love you guys and your joy of life and abilities.
that boat is gonna fly!
That skiff tricked out nice :)
Nice motor!
Get a nice noctua quiet fan and a finer intake filter that seals better. As more of a computer guy they do make a difference. You can even get magnetic filters that are quick change and clean. I use them for building cnc control units.
realy nice boat, you guys have worked hard
The boat looks awesome, it should catch a lot of fish.
Looks fantastic just needs a seat for whoever manouvers the boat.. and cup holders
It has 4 Railblaza Cup holds
Lovely, just love watching you all do stuf.
Love from the south coast
With this UV light in the lil box, you have also a lure for flies n' other pesky insects. All you need is a glue-board.
