    Worth some serious consideration. The previous model didn't sell me on any level so kudos to Hyundai for taking the Tucson up several levels on all fronts (especially the exterior).

    This is a huge improvement over the last generation model in terms of design. Good job Hyundai!

    FYI.. Dumitru, The Tucson is made in Korea. Hyundai Kia has come a long way in developing their products to meet the highest qualities. Recent JD Powers initial quality study proves it. Hyundai came in 4th overall. Over all Japanese auto makers. Toyota and Honda was doing the same thing 25 years ago.. And where are they now? Exactly. Hyundai and Kia is doing the same thing except they're not making another brand to get rid of their previous image. I say Hyundai and Kia is doing a great job with their lineups. Hyundai Kia hires chief of designer from Audi. His designs so yes it looks like an Audi.. A copy? No.. Because it's peters designs. HyunKi recently hired a designer from Bentley/Lamborghini. Hired Albert Beirmann, the BMW guy who developed "M" from bottom ground. HyunKi is wanting to provide quality cars at affordable price. Wake up and get use to the change. Because they're just gonna get better at it.

    I would test drive in this order:
    1. CX-5
    2. 2016 Tucson
    3. Santa Fe Sport (same class if you don't go Ultimate package)
    4. Forester
    5. Escape
    5. CR-V
    6. Rav4
    7. Rogue
    8. If I leased: Countryman or BMW X1

    It would be nice if you took this up Gold Mine hill. There are literally no reviews on TH-cam showing the new differences in the 4x4 system that now has a lock mode and hill descent. Its no Jeep but if it bridges the gap between the crappy AWD systems in most vehicles and true fwd while still getting great fuel economy and driving on-road, it might be the ultimate in snow and light sand for the small SUV class.

    Hey everyone help me out here, Doesn't a turbo engine require Premium gas? This would be a deal breaker for me if I wanted this car. The point of putting 1.6L engine was to get better fuel economy but whats the point if you have to pay more for gas.

    • @Kyle-yf1vh
      @Kyle-yf1vh 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jeremy Wheeler No, My Sonata 2.0 turbo does not require premium fuel and I don't think this Tucson will either. However, even though it's not absolutely required I do still use premium in my Sonata. There is a slight performance difference with premium fuel.

      bmwmsport11 I've been driving the 2011 sonata since it came out and nothing broke down, no problems whatsoever. Hyundais and Kias are a lot more reliable than people think.

    • @masoudm96z
      @masoudm96z 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      bmwmsport11 Hyundai's and Kia's came a long way and now they are far more reliable than they were before 2010. Style-wise they have improved so much and their cars are just damn sexy. But they have learned from the Japanese manufacturers and they are just as reliable as them.

    • @AltaSonata

      dkcrxsi good link. thanks. But initial quality is more of a test for quality control than long term reliability. My dad got a new Nissan and I'm not surprised Nissan is ranked more than average lmao. badges don't line up right, weather strips warped, paint over spray on dash board etc. I know Hyundai is pretty good at QC but that doesn't say anything about durable the door handle will be in 10 years.

    • @Blackfender36
      @Blackfender36 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tigerbalm Plus Turbo engines don't have longevity and reliability which is why Mazda discontinued pairing them to their engines. Mazda focus now is quality/reliability/economy instead of how fast a car can run from 0-60 mph.

    • @davidlyday7373
      @davidlyday7373 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Blackfender36 what are you talking about the cx9 has a turbo 2.5L and Hyundai helped make mainstream commuter turbos popular. Hyundai/Kias 2.0L/1.6L turbo are doing very well in power fuel economy and longevity

    I guess I missed the specs. By the way if I was gonna buy one I'd probably go with the AWD and hope it would be better in the snow. We usely don't get alot where I live but the last 2 winters have been worse than normal for my area. When it does snow the roads suffer cuase they ain't got the equipment Y'All do where it snows all the time.As for the person complaining about the price. I guess you can thank inflation!

    • @maxxgraber
      @maxxgraber 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All depends on how you drive this turbo charged vehicle. Example, on the highway I've gotten 25mpg(sport)-39mpg(eco). It just depends on if I stomp on it or use it economically.

    • @jimpease280
      @jimpease280 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We just got a naturally aspirated Tucson SE FWD about a month ago. It's been used exclusively for my partner to drive back and forth to work in traffic, mostly in ECO mode. The computer says 30 mpg. Of course I was skeptical so I did a gas tank test and darned if it didn't get 29 mpg. Just my two cents.

    Maybe i'm wrong, but this Tucson won't manage with obstacles in the off-road, it's just another pseudo big car for city with small clirence, a lot of eletronic features and so called renovated design. I don't like this tendency to remake great cars in unnecessary crossovers

    I really want a US automaker to make a body on frame RWD crossover these appeal to moms with children not most men I'm not a fan of the FWD plushy quiet I-4 powered SUV's, I think a RWD Twin Turbo V-6 or a N/A V-8 that makes NOISE that isn't trying to be sporty would be cool like the Envoy and Trailblazer V-8's those were some cool SUV's. Not as big as the fullsizer's but still cool and appeal to almost everyone I think all these crossover's are is lifted minivan's without siding doors most I've been in don't have as much room for cargo as a minivan do to the shape usually you think you've got all this room but you don't. I really miss REAL Suv's these are getting so old they almost all look the same now where is the creativity?

    • @riverracerx

    A lot...and when I said a lot, it means a lot of marketing bulkshit, no offence Roman! Compact SUV, sporty, utility, etc......come on....it is just another Korean (proudly made in US) compact (almost subcompact) crossover, nothing more, meaning, a car that should cost 20K at max (fully loaded tax included). That's it! But we live in a world and on a time when money is everything, and a ordinary car should cost as much as a luxury one. Just my 2 cents....
