I'd forgotten to mention in my last comment.... Did you notice the the motion of admiration SuMetal had for their fans ? It was the same time you were wondering who else was singing. SuMetal had taken her earpiece out so she could hear the crowd singing. She definitely shows her respect for her followers and it was amazing to see. Loved it !!!
Their live concerts just seem so COOOL and a experience you'd remember forever! and the song is JAMMING! Thank you for another awesome React Video ABIMETALLLLL! :D
The song was indeed a collaboration with Dragonforce, since Tom Totman and Herman Li (Dragonforce guitarists) helped to write it!! They wrote a hard guitar part because they didn't expect to play it...of course eventually they played together on stage in 2015 😂 they said they respect the Kami Band so much because it's way faster than every Dragonforce song. Moa and Momo have mics so they sing some lines, such as the "wowow" in the middle of the song 😊 I consider Road of Resistance almost THE Babymetal anthem: it brings the crowd together ❤
Great reaction. Unusually this was the second song of the concert (mostly they use it to close their shows, not this time ... I think you would like the official 'live in Japan' from 2015 where it was the closing number if you liked the crowd singing part - it is a lot more extended for that one). This time they had started with an epic opening song and performance that was very theatrical ('Metal Kingdom' live at PIA Arena if you fancy watching that too) so this was the first chance Su-metal had to speak to the audience and to thank them for their support. That was Moa and Momoko (definitely Moa anyway) you could hear singing the "whoa oh" before Su came back in. 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find and build your own new road. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Not Avenged SevenFold, you got it right second time - Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They even played it live together at an awards show in London in 2015. Interestingly DragonForce opened for BABYMETAL a couple or so months ago in the US.
Haha yes! I only thought AX7 because of how I heard 2 guitars harmonizing but then that thought quickly faded as soon as I got the dragon force style guitars haha 2nd guess was best indeed! 🤘🦊🤘
Good reaction! “RoR" is one of the iconic songs of BABYMETAL. Please keep listening to BABYMETAL!🤘🦊 I'm playing basketball with a friend right now. When I get home I'm going to concentrate and watch this video🙏
This song was a collaboration with Dragonforce, who wrote and performed the guitar parts on the original recording. Other influences include Metallica, who are referred to as The Metal Masters in Babymetal lore, and Judas Priest, who are referred to as the Metal God in their lore. Their song Ijime, Dame, Zettai (No More Bullying Forever) used to have a spoken intro, and both the Metal Master and Metal God were referenced in it. Metallica looms large in influence, because back in the 90s they were a big influence on Koba; and later when Babymetal were young, meeting them and seeing them perform was a watershed event. Su at the time was struggling with her Su-metal personality, it was so different than her own offstage personality, which is kind of goofy and quirky. But meeting them as nice guys, and then seeing them perform with all the intensity, helped Su in her development. And seeing them perform is when Su first understood metal, and she shed her Idol veneer and the band embraced metal ever since. Su doesn't act on stage. As their choreographer says, doesn't act like someone on stage, she is someone on stage.
the whoa-o-o-o was the chill part for me. I love when she takes her ear piece out to hear the crowd. At the Sonisphere break-out set she did that and it helped win the crowd. Momobanger! next please.
The instrumentalist collaborated with Herman lie and Sam totman from dragon force, they performed together in 2015 at the Hammer golden god awards and download fest. Check out babymetal black(Moa/yui): GJ,song 4/4 no Uta,sis anger, Onedari daisakusen,, the other two are also great singers.
@@Abigirl_Reacts GJ stands for Good Job. It is a song thanking parents for braving the walls of death in the commuter trains and the mosh pits in the shop sales in their efforts to earn the money to buy them all they needed as they were growing up. Black BABYMETAL was the "sub-unit" consisting of Moa and Yui performing as a duo while Su would get a break during the concerts.
Fun video as always! Some of these live performances have english subs as well, not sure if you noticed but figured i'd let you know, can't wait for the next. ♥
The longest she held that final "Resistance" was about 14 seconds at the last of their 10 year anniversary shows at the Tokyo Budokan in 2021 (Doomsday X). Afterwards they ran around hitting 10 gongs on their way which took them more than 5 minutes.
Not merely a little bit of Dragonforce. This song was co-written by Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce, who also played the guitars on the studio orginal. They have also performed this live with Dragonforce as the entire backing band! During the "woooo" chorus, Moa and Momo are both singing. Su is the only one with a hand mic, but the others both have live headset mics, so their vocals are live also.
Although Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce contributed guitar tracks for the studio version of 'Road of Resistance', they did not write the song. Official song credits are: Lyrics: MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe) and KITSUNE of METAL GOD/KxBxMETAL (Kei Kobayashi). Music: Mish-Mosh (Nobuaki Miyasaka), NORiMETAL (Norikazu Nakayama) and KYT-METAL (Keiji Kusama). Arrangment: Kyôtô.
🤘🦊🤘 I am a 45 old man, been fan since 2016 when I saw them live in Germany, seen them live 2 times in Japan and 2 more times in Europe since then, and yes you are right, the age range is from teens to elderly (talking 65+) and all genders, so yeah you are right it is a very mixed crowd.
It would be great if you could also react to some of their past music when Yui Metal was still with the band. It's fascinating to observe the evolution and growth of these young talents as we delve into their history. True prodigies. 🦊
Good ears, again, Abi. You're picking up details I never would have on a first listen, and that perfect pitch thing is working really well for your reactions (and it must be so rewarding to hear Su-metal hit all those notes). If you want to hear her hold that final note for a whopping 12 seconds, you need to find the Budokan 2021 live version of this song (a quick search only turned up a live compilation video by For the Fox God that has a mismatch of audio and video at that moment, as she's lowering the mic while you still hear her sustain the note, because they pieced together footage from different shows [Budokan 2021, at the height of the Covid crisis and under strict lockdown rules, was a series of ten concerts, so a lot of live footage to pull from]). You should also cross-check the Official Live in Japan version of this (from 2016), which helps understand Su's splitting-the-sea / wall of death pose better and has a prolonged (some say it's too long, but that's of course just heresy ;-)) crowd interaction part, plus the most epic finale.
@@Abigirl_Reacts I have to agree, but there are some notable exceptions where we wouldn't have any pro-shot live versions available if it were not for the compilations. And luckily, the better (if not all) compilations usually use only one audio track, so if all you have available for one song is a compilation, you can (or: need to) just focus on what you're hearing, and take the images as illustration and not actively look for evidence of lip-syncing, because that might be misleading. But don't worry. You can't go wrong with the PIA or Legend MM live videos for present day Babymetal, and The One will point out specific live videos that are worth it although they are compilations. I think the alternate singer versions of Headbanger come to mind here: I'm not sure if there are Moabanger or Momobanger videos that are from just one performance (that sounds odd because there is technically just one performance of each, but to get them not copyright-struck, the uploaders had to put in other footage as well).
"I want this one to be heavier" Well, good news then... lol Herman Li and Sam Totman (from DragonForce) were indeed in the original cut of this song, doing the shredding. Good ear! This one is one of my favorites from their live shows, because not only is it a banger, but the crowd sing part is SO FUN, as you heard. There's another part like that in their song Karate as well!
As I wrote in another thread, and as some also suggest here, Megitsune ("female fox", so kind of a Babymetal anthem) and Headbanger are must see. If you prefer reacting to recent live performances, fine. But at least have to see original music videos too. At least to me, it is so impressive to see girls slaying as teenagers. Plus I saw a few sceptical reactors being after watching those like "Babymetal is as metal as f..k !"
Amazing! Road of Resistance was a 2014 debut and has Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce helping with guitar parts. They played for the studio recording, so good ear! This has been a staple show closer for Babymetal for almost a decade, and always drives the crowd. Momo and Moa were singing when Su wasn’t. Next auggestion: *Akatsuki (Budokan 2014)* for an epic Su-metal solo! 🤘🦊
Notice you've been mostly seeing their newer concerts... Well, if you ever get around to watch Karate, watch the Download 2016 performance, and see how a western metal crowd jam with our girls in the pouring rain... If you want to hear Su's high notes, checkout my fave song From Dusk Till Dawn at the Budokan. 😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
Another great reaction! I so hope you stick with them, watching in reverse order is tough with Babymetal. This song and many of their greats are from years ago and they have been redoing the performances now that they have Momo Metal. Imo no one can touch Babymetal, that being said their old stuff was just magic, seeing the rawness and professionalism of this performance when they were just kids is truly something special. In this performance they tried recreating the magic of the original and it's still amazing but again, IMO, as good as the new stuff is it can't touch the magic of them making their way through these songs when they were young. There's going to be a lot of references and tidbits you won't get because you're watching them in reverse so personally, I would suggest at least watching 1 or 2 of the original 10 yearish old music videos before you get too far into them in reverse order, since you will already know the songs by the time you react to them. Also, I know it's been suggested and I'm throwing my opinion in here. As much as I personally want you to watch them from the beginning forward, I think Monochrome, First Take would become one of you're favorite things, you've ever heard. If you do, expect tears. At any rate, keep it up, you're reactions are very entertaining and you got a sub from me early in your Babymetal journey, you can be sure I'll be watching all your reactions now. =)
Will Monochrome First Take (Piano Version) bring her tears? If it always does that to a 54 year old guy like me, I say that's guaranteed. And yes, she MUST see them when they started. Perhaps "iine" or "Megitsune" music videos would be a good choice to start.
This is absolutely going to be my favorite. I love this song and love piano even more. I literally can't wait! I hope I don't cry though. I've got an ugly cry face LOL
Great reaction! "Road of Resistance" is THE crowd pleaser, and it is often performed as the show closer. Su-Metal command the split quite formally these days, as the crowds split at the intro already, sometimes even demanding the "Wall of Death" themselves 🤣 The crowd at PIA Arena was phenomenal. Really, a part of all BABYMETAL performances. Su-Metal was super happy with them😊 Yep, that´s Moametal singing as Su-Metal´s backup, so that Su could fully enjoy the crowd´s reaction. Moa has a quite unique voice, too. With time you´ll recognize her singing, if she does. But you haven´t listen to anything yet, she is an amazing singer in her own right 😉 Bent66 suggested "From Dusk Till Dawn"... That´s a VERY special one! I second that suggestion!
Awesome reaction :D Pretty sure this song was made with the guitarists of Dragonforce. Su-Metal has also said her dream collaboration is with Metallica, but as far as I know that hasn't happened (yet) ^^
Nice reaction, thanks! Woah! you already have 177 comments. I'm not pretending to say anything new and you probably know more than me about this one now. 🤭 This is their usual closer and she usually extends that last note way more (sometimes until she gets out of air). But not this time, being the first song after the opening number. 🤘🦊
@@Abigirl_Reacts I really appreciate you take your time not only to read the comments but also to answer them. 👍 If you plan to watch other versions, be careful with compilations because I've seen something not very well done at that point in some of them that would lead to confusion because the images are not from the same concert of the audio and the ending just doesn't fit.

At 8:10 you asked who is singing, it is Moa and Momo, you can see them flash passed with their mouths open. They usually do the sections that the-one sings (the fans),The Japanese crowds are very disciplined and do not sing/chant with the lead singer as they are hear to listen to her vocals, so the backing singers lead the fans when it is appropriate; except when our queen orders us to.
You totally made my night and brought an end to a ..🤔...not a good day. (Trying to behave myself lol ) When you said you wanted something heavier, all I could do was smile cuz I knew you had it coming. When you get the chance, listen to their "Live in Japan" version. Not much difference other than Suzuka was maybe 15 (?) at the time. The impactthey had on the crowd at such a young age made it that much more epic. Also, you mentioned something about her range in her voice not long ago. Try "Dusk til Dawn". The range in her voice in that one will leave you in awe and question it at first. Might even send you on an emotional roller coaster if you do the "MOMOMETAL tribute". Goes through the loss of Yui, then just SuMetal and MoaMetal, then the addition of Momometal. A bittersweet adaptation. Anyway Miss Abigirl....thank you for the smile. Your timing was impeccable tonite 🙂💜
My heart, stooooop it haha I'm so happy to have made your day better. You know, it's like I knew you were having a crappy day so I purposely timed the release of this video to make you smile. ^_^ Just for you buddy!
I was at PIA Arena for this show and I'm pretty sure the crowd was around 80:20 men to women. That sounds pretty skewed, but that's actually pretty good for a metal show. Babymetal tends to have a more gender balanced crowd than most metal shows. Babymetal shows tend to have a way more diverse audience than most metal bands, with everything from parents with little kids through to senior citizens all jamming out together. Babymetal brings all demographics together and the vibes are immaculate.
You are correct about dragonforce sound. Herman Li and Sam Totman from Dragonforce wrote the guitar part There are videos and interviews where this is confirmed several times. take a look at this video for confirmation direclly from Hermal Li himself: watch?v=3KqmGckzqyw As a "Grown "@$$ man" myself. I love Babymetal, and I am not afraid to acknowlege it. I consider myself a metalhead, and love alot of different metalbands. Bands i enjoy like Sepultura, Gojira, Lamb of God, Slipknot, Canibal Corpse, Slaughter to Prevail, Rammstein, Behemoth Lorna Shore, Amon Amarth, Parkway Drive to name a few. Babymetal is amongs all those, and on a regular rotation. As for next? My suggestion on going for a tripple headbanger reaction still stands. the channel for the fox god posted momobanger recently that has more correct videocuts than others that have been posted.
@@Abigirl_Reacts from when they became known outside japan, and they got alot of hate from metal elitists. To be completely honest, they are more heavy than other bands that they like, and metal dont need to be heavy just for the sake of being heavy. But i think that some of the hate also comes from the fact they dont like it, because non-metal heads also like it. Metal elitists can be such a snowflakes. On the brighter side thou, most metalheads are very kind, to the point you can compere them to BM off stage in some aspects.
@@Abigirl_Reacts that is true. We are all different, and we all like what we like, it does not affect me what others dont like. But its fun to share with those who like the same, but still different.
@@Abigirl_Reacts Awesome! It's a song they rarely perform. Budokan 2021 would be the best quality. I think it even has subtitles (although the song is entirely in English) :)
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。The crowd involvement (circle pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever BABYMETAL goes on this planet. This anthemic song was played in their almost every show (either in their headline or in huge festival) The audience reaction is always similar to it in this video. The gist of what Su said from 06:07 in your video is : ① BABYMETAL has to go on the uncharted road. ② The existence of all of you and your support enable us to overcome any difficulties and hardships that we are going to face. ③ Let us hear your voice. Then Su screamed at 08:32 "Thank you" after the 3 girls heard supportive chant from the people there including me myself. Her statement and gratitude stoked up our affection toward the girls even more because the Day-2 at Pia Arena "BABYMETAL Clear Night" is the show where the newly born BABYMETAL with Momometal was announced meaning the officially resurrected triangle. You are right. Su's pitch is very very high for too grown up guy like me, a 68-year-old Japanese. Even I chanted in octave lower. The crowd left the venue exhilarated but with hoarse voice🤣.
Hello and thank you for the comment! Haha I can picture you trying to sing along at the end with the very high note ^_^ I understand why you would take it down an octave. Even I would and I am a woman! 🤘🦊🤘thank you for your comment :)
@@martinmetal7481 Foghorn 🤣. When I tried to chant in the same key with Su's, I heard someone being strangled. Surprisingly, that someone was me myself.
They had a concert once where it was all women, that's all that were allowed. I don't remember if it was a festival or not with other bands. I remember the girls said that on stage, it smelled good. All of the perfumes coming from the crowd. Also they have classes outside before the concert. They play tracks, and there are people teaching the concert goers when and what to do and say. As well as some are veterans of BM concerts and teach others. The Japanese concerts are next level. They are also NOT allowed to have cellphones out in Japanese concerts. Did you notice that? In Monochrome at PIA Arena, Su had to tell everyone to take their cellphone out and turn on light. I think performance had subtitles. She was thanking the crowd as they had just come back from a very long hiatus and, at one point, there, continuing was in question since at that point they were over 10 years old. The previous/last concert had Su and Moa (no Momometal at this point) walk upstairs and fly back to the Metalverse and left things in libo. Su was very happy to be back. That's why you can see her taking it all in and smiling and, of course thanking the fans. ❤
_Pizza time!_ and justice forever. 🦊🤘🍕 Welcome back to the Foxhole AbiMetal. Please don't miss out the live in Japan official MV (2015) version, it's even more epic as an ender, with the original trio being more young and with the blaster sound of East Kami Band unlike this one with the West Kami Band and not an ender. They've been rocking out the Europe Tour and the World Tour 2023/2024 in almost every setlist finishing with this song, is definitely one of the flags of Metal Resistance album and chapter and they like to play this song while fans totally get into it with crazy mosh'sh pits and wall of death. Next suggestion: - Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 (2013). Gans Tomas got this clip under Head Bangya tittle safe to react. See you next time 🦊🤘❤
If you want to hear the voices of other members, you can watch the songs "GJ solo MOA version, or headbanger moa version" and "metataro - momo version" only for the momometal version you will see a compilation video. understand copyright very well lalalaalalalala.....😆😆😆😆
@@Abigirl_Reacts 来週はヘドバンガーしましょう🤘🤘🦊楽しみにしてます , it's just better if you play from the first album or watch the babymetal guide so you understand you've entered a fox hole,,😅😅😅and you should never watch and look into the eyes of Sumetal, Moametal, and Momometal, they will eat your soul,,,we are the only ones who have become victims
Hi i have a question for you. Do you write down our suggestions from each video so there's one big list so we don't have to comment them again? Because I don't want any of my suggestions to be lost if I don't keep commenting them lol Also im surprised you picked this version as the iconic legendary performance is the official live in Japan. If you want chills that one would've gotten you all the chills. When you do Ijime Dame zettai eventually make sure u do the 2014 sonosphere as its the best! Also Headbanger do 1997 legend live.
So, I don't have a list of EVERY single suggestion but I do keep a list of the most requested songs! I keep adding to the list as I do more reactions if that makes sense 🤘🦊🤘
sorry i have to comment one more time! a good video to watch next is an early performance of doki doki morning!! i will try to link it in the replies but youtube is finicky about links so if it doesnt post you can find it as "Babymetal doki doki morning 2011" the reason why i highly recommend it is because you have only watched their recent projects so far! i think you might find it very surprising how they started, they were incredibly young and wearing costumes borrowed from friends and family! extremely different to now. su and moa are both original members, and this also features yui who was the third member for many years (no momo in this one unfortunately 😢) they have been on this grind for well over a decade!!! its crazy
Fun react. I was happy surprised you caught the Dragonforce influence. Herman and Sam from that band co-wrote this one. I think you are ready to "head-o-ban" headbang now, but be warned there are different versions of that one with lead parts done by different girls in the group. Momo's version is same song but sung differently than Moa's and Su's etc...
One of the four ever rising talented ladies of Passcode for epicness or passcode band. Is very close friends to Su - metal! Amazing reaction. If you have not done it, please do catch me if you can. What a song it is. Or also try black babymetal, songs like GJ, Sis.Anger, 4NoUta and Onedari daisakusen. thank you for your reaction
@@Abigirl_Reacts you are in for a surprise I tell you. Enjoy Babymetal. May I suggest also watching the not so extensive guide to Babymetal??? You start to know more about them all and how they got to where they are now. After all, we are the one. Babymetal fans.lol
In case you didn't record Megitsune's reaction, the version from the Legend MM show came out today on the same channel, which is more recent, and has become my new favorite version (with Momo on backing vocals).
Well in general not quite. In Germany we counted about 40% females and an age distribution between 5 and 85. The Girls were really shocked when they started 15 years ago Koba promised that they would attract girls, but this never happened and then14 years later they suddenly had a lot of women and men and their daughters. Parents were not crazy enough to send their children to Rock concerts, but if Mommy and Daddy want to go their children will come too. No if she is so soft and silent this is Backtrack. The Mic wouldn't even Pick up her Voice.
@@Abigirl_Reacts It Sounds Broadcast but I think it fits, I saw parents with their five Year old kids, but also old Coupés or ageing old Metalheads in their Concerts.
If you (ever) want to try something other than EC and Babymetal, but assuming that it is such danceable metal, "patrycore", that you now enjoy, here is a couple of suggestions: Hanabie (Japan too), maybe "Be the Gal" first; Ankor (Spain) "Embers"
Great reaction! Also, the part where you see Su not singing, the edit is just weird. They probably didn't have a good drone shot of that one portion so they overlaid another part of the performance. That portion of the song is also traditionally traded off between the girls. Su starts, then Momo, (Used to be Yui) then Moa, and it rotates back to Su. The girls all have featured vocal portions in this song which is one reason its such a fan favorite :) Also, nice catch on Dragon force :) Herman Li is an acquaintance of the girls and wrote some of the guitar for this.
@@Abigirl_Reacts That would dope as hell :) Moametal said in an interview that her favorite bands were Metallica, Bring me the Horizon, and Maneskin, Su's said she likes Sabaton. They've already collabed with BMT and Joakim Brodén from Sabaton, so it'd be great to see a collab with the other two :) Moa also mentioned Limp Bizkit... but Durst said some pretty sussy/disrespectful shit after BM went on at a concert years back (The girls were like 15 years old). She nor the other girls have mentioned Bizkit since then. It's gotta suck having one of your idols disrespect you like that.
@@Abigirl_Reacts th-cam.com/users/shorts8Xl7SHhB10Y well, this was part of it... at a later show he repeated this, and then told the crowd that anyone who agreed with him was weird because the girls were like 11-14 years old. basically he said some sussy shit, then was probably called out for it backstage by someone and covered his ass by playing it off like a joke. There's a reason tons of Bands who have toured with limp bizkit hate this dude lol. I don't normally talk shit about any musicians but Durst consistently (and randomly) ends up on my radar for being gross.
Btw, as an aside, you mentioned Dragonforce (I’m impressed!) and there’s a TH-cam video on his channel of Herman Li auditioning for BAND-MAID; in full Maid outfit, with the two guitarists of BAND-MAID, Lead Kanami and rhythm Miku!!! You should check it out and the check out BAND-MAID! You’ll love them, probably more than anyone you’ve reacted to; I’m pretty confident. 😀🙏🙌🏼🎸🥁🎤🎼🔥😥☮️✌🏼
i think if you listened to more songs that centered around moa or momo's vocals it would be easier for you to tell that they're stepping in when it isn't su singing, or more predominantly, it's usually moa stepping in (as momo wasn't an official member in a lot of these performances, so she just lip synced and danced.) definitely take the time to check out moabanger and momobanger! (aka the two girls' special performances of "headbanger" where they take over the second half of the song for their birthdays! moa's is for her 20th birthday and momo's was celebrated just before she turned 21 since she wasn't an official member when she turned 20.) have fun diving further down the fox hole!!🦊🤘

Yep Dragonforce did the guitar parts for this song :) Herman Li talked about it on his stream once. I have a clip of it in my channel if you wanna check it out.
you caught the dragon force!! im sure others in the comments will tell you but dragonforce did collab with babymetal in the creation of this song!! interestingly, babymetal also used to be banned from the Download music festival because the organizer thought they were too gimmicky... they managed to sneak in and perform one or two songs thanks to dragonforce, who supported them in their early years. dragonforce let babymetal perform during part of their own slot, and even acted as their band so they could do a couple songs. it took years for the organizer to allow babymetal into downlod officially, but thanks to dragonforce they got to perform years in advance of that! they have also cited metallica as one of their biggest inspirations, nice ear!
also... i hope sometime in the future you could check out momobanger! if copyright allows lmao i cant remember if youve seen su perform headbanger yet, if not that probably shoukd go first so you can see what they build off of. but momos birthday performance of headbanger is not only suuuuuper good but demonstrates some of her new talents :0!! and is what i would call one of the most important moments to define their current era!! lovely videos abi ❤❤❤ 🦊 🤘 thank you!!
Great fun watching you react to Babymetal, thank you! One thing to add to your list is a really well done, recent, guide to Babymetal. Aw thanks so much but I'm more interested in where they are now compared to where they started. I may watch this off TH-cam though! It's still interesting to see 🤘🦊🤘
This is my favorite live version of RoR because it’s the first time Momometal performed this as an official member. And not to mention the beginning of a grueling World Tour in 2023. The energy just radiates through the video every time I watch it.🤘🦊

Great reaction! The crowd, and being in the crowd, is definitely a major part of the experience. It's impossible to not join in the chants and dances throughout the show! You do notice that Moa and Momo both have mics, right? I really wish you would go into their older performances too. The original version of this song (2015) is even MORE epic. You really REALLY should do their older stuff. You have no idea what you're missing. When you do, you'll be saying to yourself, "why did I wait so long to react to these?"

this is a joyful "come on together and join the cause" song, usually placed at the end of their set list so the audience left with bright, positive, you can do it, feeling so come on join abi metal 🤟🦊🤟
I enjoyed the reaction, as usual. But, for some reason, your voice was peaking VERY loudly, compared to the rest of the audio. When you got loud, it was a bit painful to listen to, unless I turned the volume down a lot. I've never noticed this with any other video of yours - and I've watched just about all of them. If you can try to do something to the audio to adjust this, it would be great. In any case, keep up the great work. I look forward to more reactions. I'm still enjoying the EC and Babymetal reactions. But, I'm also looking forward to the point where you decide to add in some other content to mix in with those. I suspect it could increase your audience and also turn a lot of people brought in by other videos to these two great groups.
Hmmm I'm sorry about the mic! It's honestly so touchy. I don't change any settings at all but the distance it is away from my mouth makes an incredible difference! It's so annoying! Honestly I just gotta stop using my gaming headset mic but it's all I have. I need a stand alone professional one. And a new camera with better focus. I need a bunch of stuff lol
I could tell she was really feeling it! It sounded like quite the anthem at that moment 🤘🦊🤘
Their live concerts just seem so COOOL and a experience you'd remember forever! and the song is JAMMING! Thank you for another awesome React Video ABIMETALLLLL! :D
My beautiful voice?! Oh my, thank you darling! 🥰
Moa and Momo have mics so they sing some lines, such as the "wowow" in the middle of the song 😊
I consider Road of Resistance almost THE Babymetal anthem: it brings the crowd together ❤
No way! I could definitely hear the dragon force vibes. And I agree 💯, it does sound like an anthem 🤘🦊🤘
So glad you did this one ! Subscribed.
I'm happy too! It's very catchy. Thank you so much for the support! 🤘🦊🤘
🦊💖
Haha yes! I only thought AX7 because of how I heard 2 guitars harmonizing but then that thought quickly faded as soon as I got the dragon force style guitars haha 2nd guess was best indeed! 🤘🦊🤘
Like the crafty hint to Metal Kingdom Grington 😂 I will second that surrgestion PIA Arena version of cause 👍😁

@@Abigirl_Reacts I am glad that you took up BABYMETAL. And I am happy as a Japanese BABYMETAL fan with your nice reaction! Thank you.ありがとう💖

It's as if she takes on a whole new persona on stage, isn't it?! 🤘🦊🤘
the whoa-o-o-o was the chill part for me. I love when she takes her ear piece out to hear the crowd. At the Sonisphere break-out set she did that and it helped win the crowd. Momobanger! next please.
Incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
It was Download 2016 while performing Karate she took ear piece out when crowd sang along loved it 😭😁🤘🏼🦊
The instrumentalist collaborated with Herman lie and Sam totman from dragon force, they performed together in 2015 at the Hammer golden god awards and download fest.
Check out babymetal black(Moa/yui): GJ,song 4/4 no Uta,sis anger, Onedari daisakusen,, the other two are also great singers.
Thank you for the suggestions, do you happen to know what GJ stands for?
Gj is the name of the title
@@Abigirl_Reacts GJ stands for Good Job. It is a song thanking parents for braving the walls of death in the commuter trains and the mosh pits in the shop sales in their efforts to earn the money to buy them all they needed as they were growing up.
Black BABYMETAL was the "sub-unit" consisting of Moa and Yui performing as a duo while Su would get a break during the concerts.
Ahhh I thought so! Thanks for clearing that up ^_^
Fun video as always! Some of these live performances have english subs as well, not sure if you noticed but figured i'd let you know, can't wait for the next.

Thanks for watching! 🤘🦊🤘
The longest she held that final "Resistance" was about 14 seconds at the last of their 10 year anniversary shows at the Tokyo Budokan in 2021 (Doomsday X).
Afterwards they ran around hitting 10 gongs on their way which took them more than 5 minutes.
14 seconds of a held out note by Su seems epic! 🤘🦊🤘
Rember Moa getting that blast of heat behind her the look on her face and Su laughing at her while banging them gongs 🤣🤘🏼🦊
Called it! Haha 🤘🦊🤘
Although Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce contributed guitar tracks for the studio version of 'Road of Resistance', they did not write the song.
Official song credits are:
Lyrics: MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe) and KITSUNE of METAL GOD/KxBxMETAL (Kei Kobayashi).
Music: Mish-Mosh (Nobuaki Miyasaka), NORiMETAL (Norikazu Nakayama) and KYT-METAL (Keiji Kusama).
Arrangment: Kyôtô.

I can tell they have a very diverse crowd 🤘🦊🤘
absolutely amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Indeed! 🤘🦊🤘
It would be great if you could also react to some of their past music when Yui Metal was still with the band. It's fascinating to observe the evolution and growth of these young talents as we delve into their history. True prodigies. 🦊
Maybe one day! 🤘🦊🤘
They are so awesome. Thinking about kicking my family to the curb and going to see them live Thanksgiving weekend and the band is RIDICULOUSLY awesome
Take your family with you!
Oh man, I've been warned to stay away from most compilation videos. Do you agree?
Oh OK that makes sense. We'll see how the momobanger goes very soon ^_^
"I want this one to be heavier"
Well, good news then... lol
Herman Li and Sam Totman (from DragonForce) were indeed in the original cut of this song, doing the shredding. Good ear!
This one is one of my favorites from their live shows, because not only is it a banger, but the crowd sing part is SO FUN, as you heard. There's another part like that in their song Karate as well!
Hehe I could just FEEL the dragonforce vibes in this one! 🤘🦊🤘
I definitely plan to react to those soon actually, can't wait! 🤘🦊🤘

Yes I'm more interested in recent performances. Dusk to dawn is a popular suggestion lately. I'll have to do that one soon! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_ReactsIt's a fantastic performance
Su-Metal was super happy with them😊
Yep, that´s Moametal singing as Su-Metal´s backup, so that Su could fully enjoy the crowd´s reaction. Moa has a quite unique voice, too. With time you´ll recognize her singing, if she does. But you haven´t listen to anything yet, she is an amazing singer in her own right 😉
Bent66 suggested "From Dusk Till Dawn"... That´s a VERY special one! I second that suggestion!
Ooh this one is on my list as well, can't wait! And thank you for clearing that up, wasn't sure if it was moa or momo 🤘🦊🤘

Again... Megitsune.. you need to watch.. 11y old official clip!

Pretty sure this song was made with the guitarists of Dragonforce. Su-Metal has also said her dream collaboration is with Metallica, but as far as I know that hasn't happened (yet) ^^
That would be amazing though wouldn't it?!
The guitarist actually worked with dragon force on this song. If you want to see how talented the Kami band is you should react to rondo of nightmare.
Interesting, first time seeing this suggestion! Thanks so much 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts make sure it is Rondo of Nightmare *with* Mischief of the Metal Gods intro. This is a good version: tmMocP99QkQ

Woah! you already have 177 comments. I'm not pretending to say anything new and you probably know more than me about this one now. 🤭
This is their usual closer and she usually extends that last note way more (sometimes until she gets out of air). But not this time, being the first song after the opening number.
🤘🦊
177?! I'm trying my best to answer everyone's comments hehe yes I've heard she can hold this note for way longer! I'll have to check it out 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts I really appreciate you take your time not only to read the comments but also to answer them. 👍
If you plan to watch other versions, be careful with compilations because I've seen something not very well done at that point in some of them that would lead to confusion because the images are not from the same concert of the audio and the ending just doesn't fit.
I can see myself getting very confused with the compilations so I'll be doing my best to avoid those. Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate you 🤘🦊🤘
Yes .oa and Monoko sing when Su is just listen and admire the crowd. Their are some pre recorded background singing but they always sing live.

Oh got it, they sounded great! 🤘🦊🤘

You totally made my night and brought an end to a ..🤔...not a good day. (Trying to behave myself lol )
When you said you wanted something heavier, all I could do was smile cuz I knew you had it coming.

As a "Grown "@$$ man" myself.
Hehe that's awesome! Have you been a fan of baby metal for a long while now?
@@Abigirl_Reacts from when they became known outside japan, and they got alot of hate from metal elitists. To be completely honest, they are more heavy than other bands that they like, and metal dont need to be heavy just for the sake of being heavy. But i think that some of the hate also comes from the fact they dont like it, because non-metal heads also like it. Metal elitists can be such a snowflakes.
On the brighter side thou, most metalheads are very kind, to the point you can compere them to BM off stage in some aspects.

The gist of what Su said from 06:07 in your video is :
① BABYMETAL has to go on the uncharted road.

I did not notice that, thank you for pointing that out. Is that the norm for Japanese concerts in general (no cell phones out) or is that a BM thing?
@Abigirl_Reacts in Japan you can't have cell phones or recording devices out.
Good to know!
Hey ABIMETAL ! great reaction as usual 👏For the next one, i suggest you PAPAYA or Megitsune, two of my favs 🦊
Megitsune incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to the Foxhole AbiMetal.
Next suggestion:
- Headbanger!! live at Legend 1997 (2013). Gans Tomas got this clip under Head Bangya tittle safe to react.
See you next time 🦊🤘❤
Thanks so much for the info Jake! I've noted the suggestion... BUT I need to hear monochrome piano version next. I can't wait! 🤘🦊🤘
I highly recommend checking out the trilogy of lights.
Starlight
Shine
Arkadia
In that order. BabyMetal at their absolute best.

Hi i have a question for you. Do you write down our suggestions from each video so there's one big list so we don't have to comment them again? Because I don't want any of my suggestions to be lost if I don't keep commenting them lol
Also im surprised you picked this version as the iconic legendary performance is the official live in Japan.
I keep adding to the list as I do more reactions if that makes sense 🤘🦊🤘
great reaction AbiMetal...❤❤❤🦊🦊🦊+🦊
Thanks so much v🤘🦊🤘
sorry i have to comment one more time! a good video to watch next is an early performance of doki doki morning!! i will try to link it in the replies but youtube is finicky about links so if it doesnt post you can find it as "Babymetal doki doki morning 2011"
the reason why i highly recommend it is because you have only watched their recent projects so far! i think you might find it very surprising how they started, they were incredibly young and wearing costumes borrowed from friends and family! extremely different to now.
su and moa are both original members, and this also features yui who was the third member for many years (no momo in this one unfortunately 😢)
they have been on this grind for well over a decade!!! its crazy
oh they do it even earlier too! my bad ... there is one in 2010
lets see if this one goes through th-cam.com/video/C-r4bajuu9Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ubvgwh_XpZSWBvpL
Oh good to know, cool! I'll have to hear all the different versions 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts Su , Moa then MoMo all give their own distinctive style to them 😁

Cause Herman li of DragonForce helped produce, helped make the song. He even say so years ago on his twitch

@@Abigirl_Reacts don't know if he still does cause I don't use twitch, just the clip of what he said was uploaded to youtube that's how I know
I''m sure it's be said, but the performance of this song in the "Live From Japan" video is gotta be the all-time best.
Thank you for the feedback! ^_^
Amazing reaction. If you have not done it, please do catch me if you can. What a song it is. Or also try black babymetal, songs like GJ, Sis.Anger, 4NoUta and Onedari daisakusen. thank you for your reaction

Ages 5 to 85, that's so broad! Haha 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts It Sounds Broadcast but I think it fits, I saw parents with their five Year old kids, but also old Coupés or ageing old Metalheads in their Concerts.

herman lee from droagon force helped write this sond she calling for the wall of death when shes splitting the crowd

If you (ever) want to try something other than EC and Babymetal, but assuming that it is such danceable metal, "patrycore", that you now enjoy, here is a couple of suggestions: Hanabie (Japan too), maybe "Be the Gal" first; Ankor (Spain) "Embers"
I am thinking about starting another rabbit hole, we'll see!
@Abigirl_Reacts Hanabie has a number of good songs with high quality videos, so that may be a good rabbit hole to climb into
What is the next possibly: Babymetal - Headbanger (Momoko ver.) (Legend MM 2024 Live) Eng Subs? 🤘
Yes this one is incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
you need to watch the live from japan version of this song much bertter
Will do! 🤘🦊🤘
The girls all have featured vocal portions in this song which is one reason its such a fan favorite :)
Also, nice catch on Dragon force :) Herman Li is an acquaintance of the girls and wrote some of the guitar for this.
That is so cool that dragon force helped out with this song. Next, we need a metallica collab! Haha
@@Abigirl_Reacts That would dope as hell :) Moametal said in an interview that her favorite bands were Metallica, Bring me the Horizon, and Maneskin,
Su's said she likes Sabaton.
They've already collabed with BMT and Joakim Brodén from Sabaton, so it'd be great to see a collab with the other two :)
Moa also mentioned Limp Bizkit... but Durst said some pretty sussy/disrespectful shit after BM went on at a concert years back (The girls were like 15 years old).
She nor the other girls have mentioned Bizkit since then. It's gotta suck having one of your idols disrespect you like that.
I wonder what was said! O.o
On this song at least Moa is singing live background vocals (Momo may have been).
I heard her! She sounds great 👍
it was co writtenn by herman lee from dragonforce
I can hear that! 🤘🦊🤘
Good reaction as always! :) can you next reacts to YAVA ? They have a live version in their channel.
They cut the Kami band intro on the official channel, better to get it off a fan channel with the Kami band intro.
Yep, I have this on my list. Thank you for the reminder!
@@Hymnodic good point!
They're requested a lot, I'm sure i will soon!
i think if you listened to more songs that centered around moa or momo's vocals it would be easier for you to tell that they're stepping in when it isn't su singing, or more predominantly, it's usually moa stepping in (as momo wasn't an official member in a lot of these performances, so she just lip synced and danced.) definitely take the time to check out moabanger and momobanger!
Momobanger definitely incoming soon! 🤘🦊🤘
@@Abigirl_Reacts In my opinion Moa is the better singer, but Momo does pretty well.

It's not surprising you heard some DragonForce influence in there, since the guitar parts were written by DragonForce guitarist Heman Li. : ^p
So happy I caught this haha
Yep Dragonforce did the guitar parts for this song :) Herman Li talked about it on his stream once. I have a clip of it in my channel if you wanna check it out.
I watched the video! It's so great 👍
you caught the dragon force!! im sure others in the comments will tell you but dragonforce did collab with babymetal in the creation of this song!!
interestingly, babymetal also used to be banned from the Download music festival because the organizer thought they were too gimmicky... they managed to sneak in and perform one or two songs thanks to dragonforce, who supported them in their early years. dragonforce let babymetal perform during part of their own slot, and even acted as their band so they could do a couple songs.
it took years for the organizer to allow babymetal into downlod officially, but thanks to dragonforce they got to perform years in advance of that!
they have also cited metallica as one of their biggest inspirations, nice ear!
also... i hope sometime in the future you could check out momobanger! if copyright allows lmao
i cant remember if youve seen su perform headbanger yet, if not that probably shoukd go first so you can see what they build off of.
