I congratulate you for your skill in restoring and repairing this type of watches, especially the vintage ones. I have been following you for some time now because I like LED watches, a technology that is largely outdated today but that I still love today... I got to have a Bulova LED in the 80's, I'm about to buy one on Ebay, I hope I'm lucky.
Thank you. Thank you. As always excellent job. I understand you have a lot to do. But always happy to see your very skilful work. I only work on quartz watches so your videos are a real gift
Awesome fix Tiberiu, you always make it look so easy but there's a lot of work that goes into these repairs and restoration outside of this video and as you mentioned sourcing the rare replacement parts.
What an anniversary and happy congratulations on your videos. Nice to see you again and back about the watches on your wall and sometimes with more tutorials.
Thanks RG, there isn't much ro say about oiling digital watches. Only the early ones where you have control from the crown lubrication is needed and you need a manual for that to speciffy where to put oil.
Great videos. I have an led Trafalgar watch which lights up and goes through the time/date cycle fine (with the little push in button) but I cannot get the button which brings up the display or adjusts the time/date to work.Any thoughts on what the problem might be? I can,t see anything wrong visually.I can find virtually no information on troubleshooting/repairing these type of watches.
Hi Tib another great video I have a stainless steel Casio WQV-10 2412 camera watch the screen is faded I cant find any fix solutions any ideas on a fix or where to get a new module pls ?
Hello, if you want to make your collection bigger you should look on soviet quartz watches from 80s, like elektronika 5, there are so many nice watches from this period. I have one elektronika 5, I love it.
great video, I have a vintage 1986 Seiko a904 that works but I cannot get the buttons for the chronograph or the mode button / set etc. to work. any idea what might be the problem?
Hi! I got myself Casio DB-150. What struck me is that it has non volatile memory, so after inserting new battery I saw previous owner telephone numbers ! Was there more watches with eeprom memory?
Hi thank you for the video I bought a 95qs-42, I didn't make an accurate inspection, try to simply change the battery BR 2320 and put a classic CR2016. The display is shown only if I press the light, stay on for 3/4 seconds then fade away. Other buttons seem not to have effects, only the light button (the light works). Thank you
@@VintageDigitalWatches Thanks for the reply, really face this problem for the first time too, if I send you a little video can you find a minute to watch it and tell me if it maybe can be fixable or not waste my time on it? Thank you
I have a Seiko a127 that works ok when off the wrist. However, after wearing for an hour or two it turns off. I have dissambled and cleaned but problem remains. Any advice would be appreciated. Love your content!
The A127 is iffy, I have one clean that doesn't turn on, I'd say something is loose and power gets disconnected OR some component is influenced by the heat on your wrist. Wear it over something with a sleeve and if it still turn's off then it is something mechanical and power cuts off.
Mike over at my retro watches mentioned when you remove e clips you do it in a plastic bag. Which of your videos shows this technique? Thanks in advance for a reply.
We have a vintage casio GL-20 women's LCD that is cracked and we were wondering if that is something that you might be able to fix we can send you pictures or a video if needed please let us know thanks.
I have a Benrus i would love fixed I can’t find the same watch anywhere it’s been a min but I stumbled across this // if you know anyone who would attempt to fix I’d love to hear!
Can you please recommend a tool to allow me to remove the battery hatch of vintage era Seikos?. I live in Australia and the closest coin that I've tried using is our 5c coin, but that is too thin and I end up screwing up the hatch. There must be a specific tool / coin that fits the groove perfectly. I own several 70's Seiko LCD's and a couple are stuck fast and I don't want to ruin them even further trying to open them.
Hey, coins are what I use and most people, maybe get a suitable washer from ahardware store. But if they are stuck then only if you remove the baccvoer of the watch and assist from the other side might help.
@@VintageDigitalWatches thanks for the reply, actually bought this specific Seiko tool but it was useless and just ended up popping the entire back off of the watch. Also do you do repairs?. I have several 70's LED/LCD watches that need repairing.
What country are you located at , i have electronika -1 led, which stopped working after a battery change, and never came back to life , it was my grandfather’s watch. If you interested I can ship it to you.I’m located in USA.
Nice video! I have two elektronika pulsar 1. One it's working and the other maybe with the same problem of the watch on the video. Would be amazing send you and see if you can fix. I'm from Chile! But i will be in Europe in January until April. If you are interested we can talk and see how to send. Greetings from chile
