    What about selective service? Those who were required to register but did not?

    • @DaSilvaDiego
      @DaSilvaDiego 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      You have to show that you registered for selective service or were not required to do so, I had to show proof of it when I did mine back in 2022.

    • @ceuser3555
      @ceuser3555 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Currently failure to register seems okay as long as you apply for naturalization at a certain age due to their discretion. I think that will not pass with Trump. You fail to register because of your fault, then you lose the ability to naturalize.

    • @DaSilvaDiego
      @DaSilvaDiego 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @ceuser3555 Honestly, most people do not even know about it. Many American born friends I have do not know about it until they apply for financial aid at college, so it is not fair not to give a change for someone who came from another culture to register after time. I naturalized under Biden's presidency, and I was required to send proof of selected service enlistment even though I was naturalizing under military service conditions.

    I do actually think the other way round. A person with 'good character' would be the last one to become a US citizen, as from statistics. Under Trump, you should act similar to Trump. You should go out of your way to even commit felonies, file for bankruptcy, or evade your taxes if you ever want to be a citizen. If not bold enough, just skip these 4 years and apply afterwards 😊

    I became a citizen last summer and was shocked some got to do their test in another language, one lady had a child translating for her and there was no recitation of pledge of allegiance at the ceremony. Felt like people there were not really loving this country. It was awkward and not want I had envisioned as a patriotic American.
    The sense was yay we made it!! now.. I can bring here my whole family and said families seemed rather old.. How does that happen?!? Some people looked retirement age! Some fully niqab wearing women with little boys as translator. That's not America, that's Isis style modesty rules.

    Will people who have criminal records but were granted Deferral of Removal under the Convention Against Torture be safe from deportation under the upcoming Trump Presidency?

      People granted deferral of removal are safe from deportation however there are instances where they can be detained. It's unlikely unless you've been convicted of a new crime since you were granted deferral of removal.

      The law is 3 years for legal immigrants got their green card through marriage and 5 years for others. All are legal process. There is already lot of restriction currently. I think the reason you commented on it because you haven’t go through process of naturalization.
