PECRON just updated the android version of the ap to 1.5 for public release today jan 11, 2023 :) Make sure that you become a member of the "SCRIBER" family When you need help or have a question, the scriber family comes running to help :)
I have issues with my Pecron 1.4.0 app connecting when my E1500 is running and trying to link with my iPhone SE 3rd gen. I’ll try resetting it as you’ve shown here, but I’m looking forward to that Bluetooth improvement version in 1.5. Thanks Bob for the great help and support!
1.5 is MUCH better than 1.2 or 1.4 :) we beta tested 1.5 for 24 hours straight for pecron on 3 different phones to make sure that less people have headaches :) P.S. Teamwork is how we get stuff done around here....WOOOOOOOO !!!!!
Great video Bob. Still no joy on my end with ‘Wi-Fi binding’ on my Apple iPhone 13 using a lower Wi-Fi rate, not 5G. The flashing Bluetooth icon vanishes for 3-4 seconds, comes back on, but will not ‘bind’, but times out. My Percron version from the Apple Store is version 1.4. Notifications and locations are on and lesser settings, camera/photo albums are turned off.
Maybe give it full access, just to see if that works? P.S. You can always go through and disable all the access after you try it to see if that works? *We are android users over here (version 1.6) never tried the IOS :( note: Try to use the camera and scan that QR code thingy, that worked for us :) P.P.S. PECRON, Fix your app please :(
I tried scanning the bar code, and like others, the bar code wouldn’t scan. NOW, for grins I tried scanning with an installed QR reading app, and it scanned it immediately.
@@RamblinBobReviews Yes, nearby devices works well pulling up the 1500 icon. Camera access is on ...scanner is doing it's thing across the bar code, but is never able to read the bar code using the Pecron bar code reader.
We had problems linking at first when we had 1.4 & 1.5 apps on some phones. Then pecron updated the android version to 1.6 and then it worked. Send them a message and tell them what version phone you are using and see if they have an update for IOS or something. *FINGERS CROSSED*
I am having huge huge issues connecting this thing to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, I want to connect through Wi-Fi and it does not want to work! I have version V1.6.0. I am able to connect any other device to my Samsung s20 no problem whatsoever but this thing has been the hugest headache I have ever encountered with the device to hook up to Wi-Fi!! Can you offer me any help? I have reached out to Amazon seller waiting for his response on what's going on here?? I own the new Pecron EFL 1500
I followed this video exactly, but kept getting the "binding timeout" error. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, and reset the wifi on the unit, but nothing worked. I also couldn't get the app to recognize the barcode on the bottom (possibly because it's so small and I couldn't get my phone close enough to make it larger without it being out of focus). Oddly, what finally worked was me turning the wifi on my phone off, starting the pairing process, then turning the wifi back on and selecting my network. When I did that, it suddenly connected.
Hi. I tried resetting the wifi by holding down the ac and dc buttons and once the battery icon blinks, i just release the hold. The problem here is that it does not show the wifi icon blinking, as if it does not exist. Is there a way to make that wifi pop in the screen as shown on your video. I am kind of desperate to have it working. Need your help in this badly. Thanks.
Interesting that Bluetooth is much more "snappy" than WIFI. I would have thought Wifi would be faster and Bluetooth "laggy". I don't want to turn Wifi off my phone so I'll probably just stick with WIFI but I hope Pecron continues to update the app. The latest IOS update seemed to help at first but I can't tell much of a difference to be honest. It's still slow to populate data.
Bluettoth is always faster than wifi...simple reason, bluettoth dongle is about 1-3 feet in front of me inside the system, while the wifi has to go all the way through the network and back to the phone... The app updates were for stability and quickness for the values, and yes, we would love to see more updates for that app.
@@RamblinBobReviews Hey Bob, I tried mine this morning with Bluetooth only after disconnecting WIFi from my phone and I found the Bluetooth to be worse than WiFi. I guess it depends on individual situations but I'm going to stick with WIFI for now. Thanks for all of the help you're giving Pecron users.

Have you tried to install "nearby devices" as well?
I know that you have to give the camera "access" in the app to be able to read the QR code

We made a video showing exactly how to do it. did you reset the wifi like we showed in the video?

Glad to see it worked at last :)

It never shows up after the wire frame blinks?
it takes a few minutes sometimes to show up, you have to wait before you try again.
Don't mean to be a spammer but can you do a website coverage on the black view power max 3600 I like when you do those "website reviews"
no worries, we LOVE looking at power stations :)
We will make a first look review for it this week :)

Gee Thanks.....for some reason....it only worked for me after I did the QR code on the bottom....
No worries, Glad we could help :)
