Spiderman 2018 had one of the best stories in superhero games.. almost as good as the Arkham games, which is a pretty difficult thing to be better than. When it comes to superhero games, they rarely have stories that involve true loss or meaningful relationships. Spiderman 2018 achieved a good story while also making the game a really fun beat-em-up style game. Rewatching the cutscenes from SM 2018 reminded me that not many games in this genre are as good as this one was.

Yeah I agree. I grew up with the Arkham games and probably find them some of the most nostalgic games to replay. But when marvels Spider-Man came out I honestly couldn’t decide which game I would rather have if I had to choose. I still play all of them to this day, especially now Spider-Man is out on pc. Such amazing games honestly

It’s crazy cause the narrative of the Spider-Man 2 game with Harry finding out about Peter and then telling him about the lab, he didn’t seem as mad as in the narrative of the Spider-Man 3 game. In SM3 he wanted to kill Peter. I know they try to follow the narrative of the movies while twisting it a bit but they coulda made that part more realistic
I'm sure that was before they had Harry's character planned in Spider-Man 3
Development for these games take place at the same time as the movie, yes they twist things a little bit but they also only get to read the script and try to follow it the way its written.
All the time movies have an original script but wind up changing things if they think it'll work better in the movie

I don’t know why but I find the boss fight against dock ock in insomniac Spider-Man to be so amazing
Ok I know it was a cutscene and I’ve never seen any gameplay, but Edge of Time looks absolutely unreal for a game made in 2011. Those graphics and lighting are insane, not realistic-looking like the graphics in something like Far Cry 6 or The Division 2 but this game was made in 2011 and I feel like they weren’t targeting realistic body structure or weight or whatnot, they were targeting the kinda “cgi” look and movement, and that’s an absolutely outstanding job for a game made in 2011.
