I can’t express how much I love the ThinkTank Retro bags. My TT Retro 5 has survived trips all over the U.S, getting drenched in Cabo boat ride, sweat on for days in Italy (summer) as well as many more trips. I think you’ll be happy. FWIW, the TT Retro 5 fits in the bottom of my North Face backpack for travel. I’ve since added the TT Retro 7 for more lenses & a small drone. Have fun!
While I really like my R6 and all my Canon lenses, if I would build a kit again, Sony would be the way to go for me. It is sad, that there are so little third party lenses for the RF mount atm.
Since Fuji has recently opened up their lens mount for Tamron and Sigma and other third party manufacturers, the pressure is now on Canon and Nikon to do the same soon, otherwise they might lose out on non professional shooters looking for more affordable gear. So it might happen sooner than you think!
Been researching on diff setups as my first time purchase, looking into buying the A74, and this setup looks like perfection. Will deff be putting the lenses on my wish list
Please create one or two of those short travel films you have created before. Im a big fan of those. I think something like the ''24hrs in Tokyo'' would be amazing
Still hoping for the 20, 35 and 85mm RF Sigma for Canon soon! You are also travel to Holland? And do you use also filters for the DJI Mini 2? greetings from Delft, Holland
Great Content man I purchased your luts and I'm not to great with color grading and was wondering if you planned on making a video showing how to adjust the luts if you haven't already? Also could you explain your export settings in a future video?
Hi Mitch, Do you have any issues with recording sounds from the atmosphere since the mic isn't a stereo type microphone? I am looking to buy the Rode videomic NTG, but I'm not sure which one to take. Does the Videomic pro do good enough for that task? Cheers
Yep - totally valid questions - so there's a big difference between 1.8 and 2.8 when you start losing light in the evenings. I am intending to vlog with the 20mm because it means I can have more than double the shutter speed with the same amount of available light. I want a higher shutter speed because I'm actually using the catalyst browse stabilisation which needs a slightly higher shutter speed to work well without any artifacts. Yes I could just use 20mm as my wide angle but I like have a slightly closer crop of 28 and slightly wider at 17 for certain situations. I've had the two in my bag now for 3 seperate month long trips and don't feel either are redundant.
Hi Mitch would you be reviewing Canon R5c ? I have been c200 and Nikon D810 , D500 shooter . I got into an accident with c200 and had to sell it unfortunately. So looking to upgrade my gears totally, gonna sell my Nikon gears soon. I'm thinking about getting either canon r5c and r6/r5 or Sony fx3 and Sony a9iii(if it releases this year) else a9ii . I want to buy canon R5c (coz I already have a lot of ef lenses) but I'm worried that video af and dynamic range might not be as good as Sony fx3. I shoot weddings, events, fashion, sports. I want to know your opinion on canon R5c .
Why I love Sony, smaller and lighter body’s, open mount to 3rd party brands, and they already downsizing and upgrading all their current lens’s. I was going to switch to canon mirrorless from my old Nikon d750, maybe one day tho I’ll have a canon
Hey what’s going on man. I just started following you on here..love the content. Quick question. I currently have the rp with the 35mm 1.8 and was debating on either selling the 35 and buying the 50 mm 1.2 or upgrading the body to the r6 and keeping the 35mm? I mainly do portrait work.
I would upgrade the body first. The 50mm 1.2 is awesome but the autofocus and dynamic range of the R6 will blow you away coming from the RP. But if the 35 is too wide for you and the RP is serving you well just upgrading to the 50 1.2 would be a good option too…
If you have the money to upgrade to an R6 or 50mm 1.2 you could pick up an 85mm prime instead. I find the 35mm + 85mm prime combo is amazing and the 85mm is great for portraits.
@@MitchLally thanks allot makes a ton of sense. I’m new to it and was wondering if switching from canon to Sony would be a better option. Because of the 3rd party lenses. I’m not dedicated to canon but it would be between the a7iii and the setup I have now with the r6
@@JarraxQ yeah I only had the money to do one or the other. Keep the 35 and upgrade the body to the r6 or keep the rp and upgrade the lens to the 50 1.2. I’m doing ok with the 35mm for now. Do you mean 85 1.2 or the newer 85 with macro
@@kriskreates2931 I'd probably look at an alternative 85mm like a Samyang 85mm f1.4 if you can get your hands on one, but that depends where you are in the world (and it will probably need a firmware update). If you're not invested into Canon yet, Sony might be a better option at the moment with lens & camera choices but it also depends if you're purely into photography or if you also do video. Mitch would have better insight into Sony vs Canon though as I haven't personally used Sony's much.
That's a ton of expensive gear for a trip. I normally limit myself to 1 body, 2 batteries, two lenses, one small flash that uses 2 AA batteries, chargers, and various small support equipment. I want that package to be as small as possible so I can take photos and not worry about $20k in equipment.
Hey Mate! Come to Switzerland 🇨🇭! 🎥
Cant wait to see the content you will be creating! Im excited and happy for you!

With your lens selection I feel like you can’t go wrong ☺️ Can’t wait to see what amazing things you’ll make over there! ❤️

Same here, I backed Canon's mirrorless systems and after a few years, I'm starting to regret it.

COVID really messed it up
Wait wait wait, im reading your comment and the other below, really? Im selling my A73 for a R6... mmmh
@@M4TR1X Depends, if you're purely into photography then yeah the R6 is great. But for hybrid shooters not so much

Really good setup there.
Would you say that you are enjoying the A7R4 more than the canon eos R?
Enjoy my bro… wish I could join. Next trip though.
I didn’t think 20mm would be wide enough for vlogging but seeing you vlog with it, seems pretty wide.
What lens do you use ? A 16mm prime lense ?

Awesomeeee! When are you travelling and where? Would love to meet up if you come to London man!
Sony a7iv or Canon R6 for stills? :) I ask you, because you use both for quite long now.

Why did you pick the gm for you prime and not you zooms.
Like the sigma 35 1.4 dg dn
Is the gm that much better
I LOVE how all your lenses have a 67mm filter thread.. this is what ive been trying to stick to lol

I’m probably not the best person to ask about recording sound but the videomic pro has done what I need it to do for many years now
Why not ditch the 20mm and vlog with the 17-28mm? Or vice versa? Seems like a lot of overlap.
