  • Rappers are hella sensitive these days. So today, I got some examples of how the sensitivity is ruining hiphop. Even Kendrick Lamar hates that soft stuff, as he mentioned it in his diss battle towards Drake.😭

Why? Logic has his legacy. At the end of the day he brought what he did to the world, he focused on the wrong things, got clowned for it and never chose to elevate the conversation. At that point it's not just about the music, it's the conversations between you fanbase, you and the greater hip hop community. Same thing with Drake. His name and fanbase are constantly focused on non-hiphop oriented conversations. If hendecides he's going to focus on good things that make hiphop look serious, creative and artistic then I'll give him a break but him and his fortnight, streamer bullshit, superficial biracial politics that do more harm than good, then I could care less about his legacy.

The problem is not that biracial ppl aren’t black enough it’s just that some biracial ppl can’t just stand in their blackness without complaining that they aren’t accepted enough and then it becomes like a whole personality for them. Like J Cole said just stop caring and ppl won’t bother you. The more you complain about ppl talking shit about you the more ppl will dig in because you’re getting reactions. I think developing a shield against criticism especially fake criticism which is just ppl talking is super important. Especially in the internet age.

@Shockguey It's not. There's a lot of context surrounding what you're claiming that you are missing. At the very base level, Dre is from the States and doesn't simply use black culture for his own personal gain and then disrespect it when it's beneficial to him. He also respects artists. You think he'd tell dot to quit rapping like he's tryna get the slaves freed? No. Bc at the very least, he respects ppl that stand for something. Drake does not & stands for nothing.

Just imagine being logic…. Just pretend you are logic for a while and you realize that the feedback, criticism, hatred you get is absolutely depressing and very damaging. That’s not right fuck people for taking that out of line
Edit: too much to respond to.
You guys gotta realize logic is human too his face is out there, goes live shows, interviews, puts himself out there and when he gets hate, of course it will make him feel impacted in a negative way. Most of yall act like you wouldn’t feel some type of way if you’re in his position. It’s easy to say “get over it” easy to blame logic but if you get put in that test majority of yall would crumble. It’s not easy to control your composure when you get attacked like that.

He still too sensitive at the end of the day. He so busy whining, that he ended up arming his critics even further. He created a self fulfilling prophecy.
Logic’s problem is that he is very insecure about both his blackness and his position in hip hop, which makes him easy to trigger. Weakness like that is very problematic if you want to be famous, and most people aren’t going to sympathize with that when other musicians have gone through way worse public scrutiny.
Like J Cole told him, he needs to get over it. He is mixed race just like Logic, yet he clearly isn’t sensitive because he is fully secure in who he is. Logic isn’t, that is a personal problem only he can address.

This goes double though for people who specifically put out work for the public to criticize, such as a musician. So basically the lesson here is don't entertain what anyone says. If your'e rich and sucessful, haters will automatically come out of the woodwork. It comes with the territory, as a rapper you either diss them or don't even dignify it with a response.
