While rappers like Drake have had their career and reputation tarnished by fans not giving him the credit he feels he deserves, other artists like Kanye remain to be praised regardless of never really penning his rhymes in the first place. So what happens after an artist gets EXPOSED for this cardinal sin in rapping? We find out today...

Drake 100% doesn’t write all his own raps. His lyricism is too inconsistent. He doesn’t have a ghostwriter, he has multiple ghostwriters and changes them often.
He also doesn’t understand the culture of the audience he try’s to appeal to even though he never started from the bottom

Knew Kanye would be here soon as I saw the title. One example that stands out to me is when T Pain told a story of how he was helping with Watch the Throne, and he was working on his own rap mixtape. And the story starts just like practically every Kanye story, "Kanye West wants to me? Kanye West?! Word. Say less". So he goes to his studio, works with him, lets him listen to his mixtape. Pain spits a lyric, Kanye tells him that the lyric was corny and that he shouldnt use it, then goes and uses the lyric in his own song. Basically saying dont say that cause i want to now

IMO if you use ghostwriters, that immediately disqualifies you from any consideration for GOAT status. But you can still absolutely achieve legend status like Eazy and Biz.
Khalid and Diddy aren't producers tho. They're EXECUTIVE producers; they coordinate and oversee projects coming together......but They don't make beats.

miller is a nice guy and it makes sense why everything turned like this for him. the industry is a dirty game, most artists use ghost writers and the best thing he could have done is play into the narrative that he is a ghost writer, he could have been probably more established by now. this what i always talk about, people always focus on what they think they need to pursue and because of this, many people miss so many opportunities.

I remember hearing that some of the songs on Drake’s album Take Care, were actually songs that were gonna be on Weeknd’s House of Ballons EP (ex. Crew Love), is there any other instances ??
