Drake 100% doesn’t write all his own raps. His lyricism is too inconsistent. He doesn’t have a ghostwriter, he has multiple ghostwriters and changes them often.
He also doesn’t understand the culture of the audience he try’s to appeal to even though he never started from the bottom
Thank you for commenting this 👏🏾
Exactly! That family matters was all over the place, you could tell it wasn't just one person's train of thought. It's like copy and paste different parts just put together, it just doesn't flow right
Hiring writers/producers/ image consultants will likely enhance the quality of your product translating into higher market presence.

Knew Kanye would be here soon as I saw the title. One example that stands out to me is when T Pain told a story of how he was helping with Watch the Throne, and he was working on his own rap mixtape. And the story starts just like practically every Kanye story, "Kanye West wants to me? Kanye West?! Word. Say less". So he goes to his studio, works with him, lets him listen to his mixtape. Pain spits a lyric, Kanye tells him that the lyric was corny and that he shouldnt use it, then goes and uses the lyric in his own song. Basically saying dont say that cause i want to now
Kanye needs ghostwriters and ghost producers… yet he’s a genius. Lol.

Im surprised no one could tell with dr. dre... Dre literally flows like whoever hes working with at the time! The man grew up being on a TV show. Drake has always been an entertainer, never a rapper
To clarify my post a little more, Drake is like the dude muddying the water right now. He’s taking the spotlight off what rap truly is, an expression of what life is like growing up in a difficult environment
@ClayJunior-lf2qe I would guess it comes down to not respecting him for that same reason
@ClayJunior-lf2qei mean would you be happy that an entertainer is CONSTANTLY getting compared to you? as an artist i certainly wouldn't
But this is the same one who told us that he started from the bottom. Come to Chicago, you'll find out what the bottom is. He's just a celebrity.
@ClayJunior-lf2qeWhat you're saying is like. Why did the linebacker.Tackle the The field goal kicker. Because he's on the field. And bro, you know the name of the game? You don't want to be tackled. Don't be on the field.
@ClayJunior-lf2qe First of all, the comment is about rappers being exposed for having ghostwriters. Secondly, you're asking. Why are people flipping on him? When you feel he's just entertained or an actor meanwhile, he's spilling raps, he's dropping albums. No, you're disingenuous for what you're saying to me, Bro. How you feel is how you feel, but what it Is, Is what it is.

miller is a nice guy and it makes sense why everything turned like this for him. the industry is a dirty game, most artists use ghost writers and the best thing he could have done is play into the narrative that he is a ghost writer, he could have been probably more established by now. this what i always talk about, people always focus on what they think they need to pursue and because of this, many people miss so many opportunities.
Poor Quentin...
People don’t understand what writers credits really mean imo, and some of the biggest artists in the world use ghost writers and reference tracks🤷🏼♂️
There's no problem with that. That's true, everything you said, in R and B and gospel. No problem and hip-hop you have a problem.👻✍️🗣🔫🪦
Hip-hop started as a flex of lyrical writing skills on beats, that's why it matters in this genre
Listen, real lyrical rappers have a writing style. Most hip-hop artists have ghostwriters that is just a fact, you can tell because their style is all over the place. Look at artist that always writes their own sh*t like Em, Nas, Little Wayen ETC every song is not the same but they all have a style that from their writing you can tell they wrote it. I can name 50 famous rappers that don't write their own sh*t you can just tell.
Drake’s strong suit is networking, not song writing.
😂😂😂😂😂
Get his ass
Justice for my fellow Q-man
Dre BEEN said he wasn't a rapper and who tf didn't know Dre had cats writing for him... So what.
Dre a producer always had been ever since his NWA days and he does beats he just happens to be in the group upfront and be in the videos p Diddy, dj Khalid they just hop on from time to time and throw on a lil bar here and there they main role is producer
Yeah same for Eazy-E. And Biz Markie didn't write his rhymes either. I think the important part is that they ever fronted and tried to lie, deny, or cover that up. So it's all above board and Biz, Eazy, and Dre are all legends of hip hop.
IMO if you use ghostwriters, that immediately disqualifies you from any consideration for GOAT status. But you can still absolutely achieve legend status like Eazy and Biz.
Khalid and Diddy aren't producers tho. They're EXECUTIVE producers; they coordinate and oversee projects coming together......but They don't make beats.
@@md.s2536 Right. No denying Eazy and Biz's contributions to hip hop are undeniable. However, my beef with Drake (whose music I used to like) is that he steals waves. Drake mines an artists' creative force like a parasite then discards them after they express achieving individual success. The Weeknd was really only the successful one who got away because he was already bubbling, smart, never signed to OVO and saw the grift early.

That's like going from having to figure out what a C major chord is to next year performing sold out piano concerts.
Let alone the fact that no actual writer would even talk like that -- that's what a fan would say about bars, not what rappers say about bars. He makes mediocre music for the average person who’s just a casual listener of rap/pop. Someone who doesn’t care about rap/pop beyond the surface level is the type of person to hype up Drake lmao. And nothing is wrong with that. Music NEEDS artists like that. But to compare him to artists like Cole and Kendrick just blows my fucking mind
Exactly some people like to compare him to Tupac ,J Cole , Kendrick, Eminem or Kanye west I'm wondering what they're smocking
