    I did this last night. I found some old harden grease and a little bit of red dirt in there. The contacts were dirty. Cleaned them and the headlight started working again. Thanks again.

    Thanks for the video, feels like I have the same issue. When I push the starter button it begins to start. But not every time. Definitely feels like it's the switch.

      You're welcome. Sounds like the symptoms of dirty contacts points. Give it good clean and see if it helps. Good luck 👍

    Thanks, Hope this resolves my issue- bike starts but starter keeps trying to start the bike. Kill switch doesn't stop engine- nor does key. Suggestions?

      Hey, sounds like your starter relay is bad. It's continuing to hold contact even after you release the button. Replace your starter relay. Good luck 👍

      @@Gordons-Cycle-Parts do I have to unplug the battery before I open the ignition case and what did u use to clean it towel scotch brite pad?

    • @Gordons-Cycle-Parts
      @Gordons-Cycle-Parts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lstruggy hey, I would suggest disconnecting the battery as a safety precaution but we didn't. We just used a shop towel to wipe the contact grease off then used electrical spray cleaning to clean it better. Then we close her up and she worked like a charm. Till this day we have yet needed to replace a start button on a Honda with this issue. Good luck 👍

    Dumb question but what did you use to clean everything up? Any certain product or steel wool type of stuff? Thanks!

      Hey, it's a good question actually, not everyone aware of what can be used on internal parts. Cleaning the shavings out we just shook out as much as we could then used forced air for the rest. We use wd40 alot to clean oil contacted surfaces. It breaks it down pretty good and wipes off well and it don't hurt o rings are rubber gaskets. Hope this hopes. Reach out anytime 👍 #RideSafe

      Yes, I would clean the contact points off. High chance it's not making contact do to build up. Good luck 👍
