Thankyou for your video. I am 86 and have had very high blood pressure for many many years often over 200 and have been on countless types of medication all to no avail. I am not a drinker or smoker. In recent weeks I have been feeling extremely and uncommonly tired which means I tick all 5 boxes.
Great video - thank you. I have high blood pressure with a resting low pulse, typically 48bpm. I work out a lot, 64 years old and have always had a low resting bpm. If I raise my pulse to say 72 bpm through rapid breathing my blood pressure is normal, around 120/75. I do have some pitting oedema in my lower legs which I am waiting on a consultation. Should I be concerned with my BP? Thank you.
Although a blood pressure of 120/75 mmHg is considered a healthy reading, I wouldn't base my assessment on one measurement as it depends on the person and context. It's good that you have a consultation regarding the pitting oedema as your health care provider would be best placed to advise.

I believe that's what got me. Lots of stress daily for years, not switching off. What are your thoughts on the bisoprolol and ramipril given to all heart attack patients, I've been told I need to take them for life because there were no risk factors ( ie cholesterol levels good, bmi, body fat, waist to height all good),the only one they could think of my dad who had angina in his 30's. Do these medicines have to be taken for life or can we reduce the dose and eventually come of them. interested in hearing your professional view. thanks Ps I would only change my medications if advised by my cardiologist and doctor.
To reduce the chances of having another heart attack, it is recommended that all patients are started on a beta-blocker, such as bisoprolol and a blood pressure medication, like ramipril. These are usually continued long term unless you develop adverse effects.

Is it possible for a fast beating heart do to temporary anxiety during a doctor visit to be reason for a heart murmur being heard in a person with no heart issue symptoms?
Hello, I know this comment is not related to this video, but I need advice. I am a 20-year-old female engineering student. I often experience chest pain, but it doesn't radiate to my jaw or back. I'm not sure if this pain is due to heart-related issues, stress from studies, workload, or maybe it's gastric issues. The pain usually lasts for a few minutes and doesn't disrupt my routine. Currently, I feel pain on the left side of my nipple (not on the nipple itself), and I have been experiencing this pain for about 1.5 years.
