I understand where you guys are coming from but having swaybars on this one ain't bad. Makes it safer and more streetable. You gotta know she performs pretty well off rd tho, swaybars or not.
I put a new d44 on my wrangler years back. since I don't know jack squat about vehicles it cost me just under 6 grand. you guys who can do this stuff are the smart ones
I've explained to my Jeep friends, till I'm blue in the face, that their death wobble is caused by their brakes and not the damn control arms. My WJ had death wobble real bad after the brakes warmed up. I rebuilt the calipers, replaced the hoses and put on a pads/rotors kit. Wobble is now gone.
Wow, well my death wobble has been fixed at various points by: 1. tightening a loose trackbar 2. replacing the hub bearing units 3. replacing ball joints 4. replacing the control arms/control arm bushings.
@@christophermichaelson9050 I have replaced every wear item on my front axle including all brake parts. Didn’t have wobble for quite a while until the right caliper started dragging on occasion. Time to replace it again...
The v8 added 200lbs to the curb weight but only added 140hp. Plus it has a 5 speed auto trans. An 8 speed auto trans would have been better, but this episode was filmed before the 8 speed transmissions were a thing. Nowadays, you can buy a wrecked 2014-18 ram 1500 5.7 8 speed and swap everything into your jeep.
Omg, a LS swap and your not running linked , massive axles ad 42s! Whyyy?.?...? I would just die for that along with the normal odds. I have a beautiful TJ that would make one of the best most desirably builds you guys could ever build. No all crawl jk with no soul, g with the new age cj
Are the upside down shock absorbers to reduce unsprung mass on live axles? The weight saving, made even lighter by the absence of any stone guards to protect the shafts must be truly transformational. WOW. I want these like being shot in the head with one of TAOFLEDERMAUS' viewer test projectiles.
Only real issue I have with jeeps is they are and always have been grossly underpowered. Yes, a few engines had good to great torque, but not enough HP. The wranglers are one of the few that look silly stock.
Just once I’d like to see an engine upgrade like this and NOT make it a off-road wonder but make it a daily driver, something I could drive to work and Sunday drives without it sounding like I’m sitting on loud noisy tires and poor road manners.
if it weren't for MOPAR and the hemi, then the NHRA would be non existent. MOPAR is the king at the drag strip. MOPAR was the king at NASCAR until they were banned for winning so much. keep tying kid.

You can actually fit 35s with the factory suspension as long as you have flat fenders. Hell, there's a fender kit out there that allows you to run 37s on stock suspension.

Big V8, lift kit, big tires, axle upgrade, great project! Only to screw it up with the stock breaks and calipers, go figure.
And upgrading brakes, at least to decent pads and rotors is probably the cheapest you can do too.

Clevite bushings are obsolete
305/70r17 tires are a 34” tire.
315/70r17 tires are the equivalent of a 35X12.50r17.
I caught that too. I have 305’s on my truck and it’s equal to about 12 inches in width
most off-roaders here in Iceland don't run any sway bars in the rear, let alone upgraded ones
Same here in the US, most people get rid of the rear and put disconnects in the front.

So you swapped the V6 motor for the Hemi V8 and only gained 1.5-seconds to a 8.5 0-60 something is not right..?

Has a lift but takes a floor jack to use to put on new tires make so much sense
The lift likely doesnt have safety latches low enough. Health/safety and all that.
@@RocanMotor they were under the lift changing the suspension with the wheels off already could have put the new wheels on then makes no sense

You got about 2" too much lift for those tiny 35's.
It would be much better on 38”tires.
