People have been WHINING because the top-end, fully loaded model costs $113k... Well, a '25 Escalade in mid-spec trim is $115k, and the '25 LX now STARTS at $107k with absolutely NO changes, and that's not the 700h model (which starts at $115k). This is still the bargain of the segment, people. It's just 2025 and different dollars. Overall, this and the new Armada are great efforts from Nissan/Infiniti. I hope they perform well in the market. I'm not sure I get the complaint about the lack of power running boards... they literally don't provide any extra function, just add more complexity and more possibility for failure in the future. I personally like the look of the fixed running boards which make it look like it has nice side sills. I also don't get the point of soft-close doors... I would have to force myself not to close the door fully and seems like that would be MORE effort. I do wonder why there are no rear sunshades.
Great minds think alike bro! I completely agree with your ENTIRE assessment. I am looking at getting an Autograph gonna buy one the end of this year to get a good deal on a 25 the 26' should be coming out late fall.
Had a brand new QX80 2016 with 112 thousand miles and needed a new transmission and started driving like crap now I drive a 2025 Toyota sequoia and will hold it's value. My value on my infiniti was pennies on the dollar
Yea, that's the main reason their sales aren't where they need to be. They could honestly do a heavy refresh of the current one and ditch the CVT and I think it would capture way more sales.
I’d like to agree but I can’t. They destroyed the brand by not updating their cars and putting that awful CVT in what could have been a great car. Nobody is buying them and really who is paying over 100k for this over the other options out there. I’ve owned 3 infinitis and won’t ever own another. They lost me.
2025 Cadillac Escalade remains undefeated!! I’m still driving my 2010 Escalade. Also, my service department experience is still top notch after 14 years and 118K miles. Yeah, things continue to break, but nothing catastrophic. I would like to get a new car, especially after driving a loaner, during a service, but all these car prices are just ridiculous. BTW: I’m starting to actually like the Lexus LX even with the lacking in third row comfort and behind the third seat storage capacity compared to the competition.

The only reason that I mentioned the Lexus is because they are so rare-unlike a couple of generations ago. If I want to be a bit different, the Lexus is something to consider.
2025 is a big yr for INFINITI, QX65 monograph will debut this summer, and QX65 going on sale next yr. Refresh 2026 QX60 will go on sale this summer, its being called the baby QX80, itll adopt the QX80s interior and front end.
The market is going crazy, in pricing! Would have loved to seen Infiniti make the led lighting extend the entire length of the hood. It would mirror the taillighta piece....
Wow resale is pretty bad. I sold my 2018 Lexus LX570 5 years later and only lost 20%. Now I'm in the market again for a large 3 row vehicle and I'm seriously considering the Lexus TX Plug In.
@@victreebel170I’d like to agree with you but as a house with two Nissans we have only had one trip to the shop to fix a wire for our horn on our 7 year old Rogue sport, and 3 warranty claims on our Murano in 5 years. So please tell me how that’s everything breaking?
Here’s an Air Ball that no one’s talking about: Were are the fog lights since the fog-light placeholders are empty. The 2025 Armada has fog lights. Is this the new monetary principle: pay more, get less? The Armada also has 4WD LO, trailer brake controller, etc.
I personally don’t like the sound of the V6. It’s like the sound effect they put in it doesn’t fit the size of the vehicle. Even the an armada sounds better with the same engine.
It's mainly Nissan's usage of Jatco CVT ruined their reputation. In addition, Infiniti rarely update their vehicles year by year when you compare to their competition. Their cars will look dated easily.
@ On my 2004 Honda Civic EX and 2005 Honda Accord EXL V6, I changed the automatic transmission on both vehicles at 60k miles. Mind you, i bought those two vehicles as brand new. The mighty Lexus, Toyota, Honda all make use of CVTs, yet everyone likes to an educated swipe at Nissan/Infiniti. Btw, updating cars has zero effect/s on reliability.
@@njdad2476 current Toyota and Lexus hybrid models uses planetary gear split transmission (eCVT) while Honda and Nissan uses stamped metal belt based CVT. It's a different design.
Not a fan of moving basic climate control functions to a giant touchscreen. Already it (and the piano black trim around it) are covered with ugly finger prints and it's much worse ergonomically than buttons and knobs and more distracting.
the idea of the exterior design is good but just very poorly executed imo.. the proportions are just so off from so many angles. like the car is overinflated and about to burst. why can't they look at a range rover and learn a thing or two about proportions and sleekness.
This car is big and fugly boo boo!!!! That center console is horrible. Just overpriced junk boo boo!!!! Ain’t no hot gurl wants no Infiniti!!!! Miss my big yams with this mess boo boo!!!!!!!

The sunshades being omitted is weird. My moms Rogue has them.
Illuminated emblems are becoming like a new standard on some luxury cars. Like FINALLY

If Infiniti gives the QX50 a redesign or direct replacement like a luxury version of the Rogue, Infiniti would have so much more sales

The statement ‘yeah, things continue to break’ don’t apply to Infiniti.

Indeed, the service department must be top notch, given the reliability - or the lack thereof - of the Cadillac.
Toyota and Lexus had provided reliability for years, and has showed their work that they are reliable. So I would say get the Lexus tx!!

I would like to LEASE it with $5,000 down and $625 for 36 months. Based on three years of living with it, I might purchase this ride.

Great review and I would love to buy this SUV.
Thank you!
@CarConfections You're welcome.
You guys need a jingle for that slam dunk segment. It’s too subtle. 😂
1. How are the heated seats?
2. Is the feel of the power steering as heavy as it was in the old model?
1. The heated seats are good and get hot fast.
2. The power steering is WAY lighter than the previous generation
I think I’ll go for a Rivian R1s, or a Lucid Gravity in this price segment. Probably save a few bucks too…

I like Nissan just need to put different colors in the Infiniti QX80 different color interiors
Tbf soft closing doors and power running boards just sounds like one more thing that can break lol
Plus putting so many basic controls in a touchscreen.
