The pirate captain's care for his crew is historically accurate! Pirate crews voted for who they wanted to be their cpatain AND white, black, and native american pirates had a level of democracy that wasn't found anywhere else during that time.

But as for these films, I either find them to be mixed like G2HH, STLV (still a bit better than the Smurfs), TS, Hotel Transylvania 1 & 2 and CWACOM2 or cringe like TEM, the Open Season sequels (Scared Silly to the least extent. I mean, yeah, it is pretty bad, but as far as OS sequels go, in the words of AniMat, “At least they tried.”), Surf’s Up 2: Wavemania and Peter Rabbit (I might get some controversy for saying this, but as bad as the live-action Smurfs movies are, I think they had a bit more effort than PR18).

Actually, there's a few Sony villains I can name that are WAY worse than Chester V. First one to come to mind is PAL, since at least Chester didn't try to end humanity.

I agree with what you said about Flint Lockwood being the most relatable Sony Animation Hero. There are kids out there who give their best shots to impress their parents who might not be the most supportive and sometimes it changes the parent and sometimes it doesn’t. I also personally think that Flint is similar to Carl Frederickson from Disney Pixar’s Up, given both protagonists worshipped their favorite idols and were inspired by their idols to do crazy stuff. They were also both deceived by their idols when it came to giving things up, which ultimately earned them the wrath of their closest allies. They did, however, realize the error of their ways and attempt to patch things up with their heroic allies eventually regaining their trust while taking down their traitorous idols. I mean, both Up and Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs hailed from 2009, but you get my point.

@@RealSirMikay I put Chester V. he's the only NEAR Pure Evil Villain who's only redeeming quality is his comedic moments, and while it does take away from how serious a villain is, it doesn't make them any less heinous, it'd be easier to just put a Pure Evil Villain as most evil, but apparently Sony Animation doesn't have any Pure Evil/Complete Monster Villains, yet.

I agree with what you said about Flint Lockwood being the most relatable Sony Animation Hero. There are kids out there who give their best shots to impress their parents who might not be the most supportive and sometimes it changes the parent and sometimes it doesn’t. I also personally think that Flint is similar to Carl Frederickson from Disney Pixar’s Up, given both protagonists worshipped their favorite idols and were inspired by their idols to do crazy stuff. They were also both deceived by their idols when it came to giving things up, which ultimately earned them the wrath of their closest allies. They did, however, realize the error of their ways and attempt to patch things up with their heroic allies eventually regaining their trust while taking down their traitorous idols. I mean, both Up and Cloudy With a Chance Of Meatballs hailed from 2009, but you get my point.
